Oct/Nov 2008 mommies!

I'm tired...but can't sleep. Switched Addy to cow's milk yesterday...she woke up a gazillion times...i think I gave her 6 bottles from time she went to bed and wake up....ranging from 80ml's to 140mls. Could the milk be less filling than FG? Bearing in mind I watered down FG alot...i also watered down the cow's milk. She woke crying everytime which she doesn't normally do these days...

Once cynthia gets here...i'm making toast and coffee....then coming back to bed for long nap!

Mandy I'm glad the naughty corner is working for u guys. I agree...use it for the serious stuff....not every charge against them. Lol @ wanting to throw the camera....i can see that defiant 'i'll show u' look! I see it many a times....with water spillage on our side! If she doesn't wanna drink it....it goes on floor, carpet, table....tonight she slipped on tiles after dripping the water and immediately...'EINA mama...better'....then I must still kiss better!Lol

I suggested it to Gerard now and he burst out laughing....with me in tow...Addison would never ever stay in a naughty corner. She is way to feisty! So I must say your kids can't be that naughty if they'd stay put! That's a plus:-)

we don't have many reasons to use a naughty corner....i think we have yet to experience a real tantrum. small moments of being upset cause we're taking something away from her...but 2 seconds later its over....and for small moments either a reprimand or a hit on the bottom will do.

Well....let me get to bed. So tired...was on a bit of a sugar rush from all the chocolate!

my last day at home tomorrow....was so enjoying the rest and time with my munchkin!

ohhh I forgot to tell you guys, I started the naughty corner last night.. and yes, in the beginning it is about showing them what you mean by naughty corner, so cam wasnt too sure, but even the second time he started to realise that mommy is cross and he cried and cried and when he tried to come out and i pointed for him to go back, he was soo sooo sooo upset. I did do it quite calmly but sternly.. and i really think the trick is to not talk to them while there!! just leave them for like 20 seconds to cry. I moved away and stood where he couldnt see me.. but its only for things like throwing food or throwing his bowl of food!! GGRRR and the second time he tried to throw dads camera so it was really no joke! i will only do it for things like that, otherwise talking to him and using a stern tone and an explanation sometimes works!

PS LWASI -im sure your boy is just confused.. if he is used to other people then it takes at least 5 nights to two weeks before they are used to a new scenario.. I agree that the new routine is probably the problem.. be sensitive to his fears and allow him time to settle by just giving him lots of love and patience and he will come around!

My interview went well....there's room for growth....so u know I'm actually wishing I get it. But it could have been the first round of more interviews....so wish me luck!

Ally....how do u beat those brownies...flip I had too call Gerard in and he did most of the work...lol. Its smelling so good though...i was licking the pot out...the actual brownies are still in the oven though...cant wait! Will make cup cakes tomorrow.

ladies I am not catching up yet jus wanted to say I am ok - slowly re-cuperating started gastro monday night and by 3 was convinced I am in labour due to tummy cramps

they admitted me immediatly said i was dehydrated and had fever so i stayed 24hrs and had 5 drips and antibiotics

was released 9 this morning but have zero strenght so just sleeping and watching telly while slowly gettin food and fluids back in

brett has been awesome looking after lea and me he will fetch her tonight and do night run as i am hoping to be ack on my legs tomorrow

xen is still in and being chilled so lets hope he waits for mummy to get 100% and then only come

my body is aching from all lying down so cant wait to have enrgy back
