HI ladies, feeling very tired today, CJ did not have a good night and I had to come in to work at 5 this morning....
Luckily leaving at 10:00 so that helps - we are going to visit my parents this weekend, granparents cannot wait to see CJ!
Vix, no CJ is only taking on nap, he used to sleep from anything around 12:00, but not later than 13:00, and now all of a sudden two weeks ago he started to only take a nap at 14:00 or 14:30. The nanny actually puts him down at 12:00 or 12:30, but he gets up everytime, eventually she lies down with him, but he puts up a terrible fight and then she gives up, well that is what she says... I don't know if she is too soft with him, I will try it this weekend, as I am a bit more strict, hoping it will go better...
Julz, I agree with Vix you don't seem disconnected from Dylan at all, I have experienced quite the opposite when I read all your posts...
Lisha - LOL same in our house, I am the one that smacks... but I must add that when Chris speaks to CJ he listenes immediately, maybe I must change my voice to be more manly or deeper??? hehehe
Anyway, cannot remember anything else.. have a good day ladies!

Vix I really don't like Weetbix ... 4 maybe a bit too much :)

Re disciplining when Shrey is misbehaving and not listening to dh, dh says 'mom is coming to sort you out'.
He doesn't give him the smacks on the bum so mommy must be bad guy and do so ... my mom always predicted that I would be the disciplinarian.

Morning mommies.

missK, nice to hear from you, that seat is exactly what I want to get for the twins! :)

Julz, I agree with Vix, it always feels to me like out of all the mommies here, you have the best connection with your child. Whenever I'm impatient I always picture you with D and I try to be more like you. :)

So we have a lovely neighbour who is trying to live more 'green' and has bought chickens. At 5am this morning, the F*cking ROOSTER started CROWING! Have you ever? I almost freaked out. Then the flipping thing woke Abi and we had to put her in bed with us! Slept until 8h15! But still!

Going toy shopping for the twins today. Nothing hectic, just a little golf set and maybe some other things. They haven't gotten anything new in 6 months and they know all their books so well so I want to see if we can't maybe find some new ones.

Hey ladies

Last night was soooo much better, he refused his tea but still slept okay.
Colder in Dbn too but not freezing like you guys are experiencing everywhere else in the country...

Simone we're considering selling but still need to do our calculations and will only sell if we make big enough profit on current home. We have our eye on a new development and it's not selling fast for now so we don't feel pressurised just yet. Main reasons for moving is that we want to stay on flatter ground, want garden with less maintenance and also we really don't have time to maintain a pool now so ... Will just wait a while though.

Simone so how did all your cooking go last night?

Zee sorry you had a rough night.

Vix glad the rash seems to be improving.

Julz lol @ the tantrum re marie biscuit. I had to deal with small tantrum last night cos he wasn't ready to sleep ...
All done with employees tax yet???

Oooh watched a little of the first part of the Greys finale last night ... I can't wait to get home to finish it ... Simone I think it may just surpass last seasons finale

Morning Julz- Why do you say you have a 'lack of connection with Dylan'? I can't say it looks that way at all, quite the opposite actually. You communicate with Dylan so well and way more than I try with C. He's a kid who really understands his surroundings and what he wants to achieve for the day, I would say you must have a pretty good connection with him.

Elwyn and I also back each other with discipline. C also tries to charm the other parent if he is put in the naughty corner. I think that's why Elwyn chooses not to interfere with my nights, I hate it sometimes when he looses his temper with C, he can get quite rough but I don't ever show C, I will just speak to Elwyn about it after the fact. I believe your children must never see you disagree over their discipline or it gives them a bargaining tool.

I nearly saw my weetbix for a second viewing this morning but luckily managed to control it, not feeling sick though, just ate too much, I think 4 weetbix is maybe too many!

Hi ladies.

Zee sorry about bad night.

Vix glad the rash is going. Zee I agree with vix the tougher you are now the easier it will be. Easier said than done though. x

Good night for us. It's flipping cold in CT. Snow must be near.

I worry about my lack of connection with Dylan. I never get that irritated with him at night, but I just figure that he has his reason for waking. Maybe because we are older and more tired. We usually support each other when it comes to dicipline though. Dylan already comes moaing to me if Neil has put him in the naughty corner. Apparently he had the mother of all tantrums last night while I was shopping. Over a marie biscuit!!!!!

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Morning mommies,

Simone- it's freezing here too! I hate the cold! I think we'll have the fireplace on this weekend!

Zee- sorry about another bad night. Everytime you give in to her and bring her into bed the struggle will get worse. Maybe since it's weekend you should play hardball! My DH won't dare question how I discipline C in thge middle of the night, he knows, if he has an opinion then he is welcome to be the one to get up in the freezing cold and deal with C. Obviously he doesn't voulenteer so he keeps his opinions to himself! LOL

Angie- wanted to say yesterday, about CJ's naps, it sounds like he's still having 2 naps? Can your nanny try to put him down later in the morning? I found C was going to bed ar like 10pm and it drove me nuts so after a few moaning mornings I managed to push him til 10-11am for his nap and he'll sleep a couple of hours. By 6.30 he has dinner, 7 bath and as soon as he's dressed he's in bed at 7.30, fast asleep. It has made the world of difference to my life, My evenings feel so long now it's great. Like I said though, I struggled to get him into the 1 nap routine but after a few days it became easy.

Angelique- it must be so hard to have your mum move far away when she has been so close. Xx

Lelani- oh man, I'm totally going to have to save for a ticket to CT and come see your new house!

Zamzie- Helen is about 13w I think. Sorry, didn't realise you missed that bit.

I am 8w today, nearly a quarter of the way through my pregnancy already, The weekends are coming quickly which is great but the weeks are flying by too fast!

My rash is definately going down, it's less raised and the spots are smaller. Hooray!
