Just a quick pop in, i have to prepare for a features meeting. Just want to say hi to everyone and hope you all have a good Friday.

Not much news here, once again Z wanted to get into bed with us. She was hysterical. Thanks for the advice, Vix, I'll try the stern talk tonight but I think DH will be livid if I give her a slap at that time of night!

Simone, hope Addy feels better soon.

Julz, love your kitchen, our kitchen is way too small, and a wonderful excuse for DH not helping me there. "there is not enough space for me!"

Ange, sorry about your mom moving away ... Hope you can go and visit often.

Its freezing in pe today....

Addy awake since 4:30am. I set alarm off at 5am...response guy came.... Interesting morning!

I'm still lying in bed hating thinking about going to work..

Addy getting a real cold. Her breathing sounded so bad this morning....not sure if its chest or back of throat? she is her normal self though...no fever...so I hope this passes quickly!

Angelique....i hope u not only here for 12th?? I write my final exam that day....but keep me posted!

Julz...curries and stews go so fast. Chinese goes fast as well. Luckily Gerard comes home between 3:30 and 4 and will start food most days...even if heading back to work at 5:30pm. We are a good team.

Lisha so are u selling your place now?? Sorry if I missed it????

Ok...i cheated tonight...bought shangai steak, mein and making hong kong chicken quick before Gerard gets home! And need to bake the cupcakes quickly.

Vix, Lelani....i tried that stern cop now with Addy on cot...los maar! Lol.

Shame her nose is so blocked...wet...think she was scared re: breathing...cause this is first cold I think... Got saline spray (thanks Julz) and just gave some rinex cause her nose is literally running like a tap.so had to sit with her in my arms...haven't done that in ages! but she fell asleep fast!

Ally- like that recepie idea thanks! What do you think a beef and boerewors pie would taste like?

Julz- beautiful kitchen. We're lucky the solid wood cupboards were here when we bought but they need sandblasting and re varnishing when we get round to it.

MissK- loving the toilet chair! I think that must be well worth the investment, might have a look in baby city!

Lwasi- if he must have something make it water bottles until he stops bothering to wake for it.

Zee- C is also wanting up and into our bed when he wakes in the night but if it's before 5am I refuse point blank. As I said the other day, he can stand and scream all he wants I just keep laying him down and telling him no and if he continues to scream I threaten with a smack and if it still continues I actually do smack on the leg where there is no nappy! One thing I don't do is leave the room whilst he is crying and screaming because it just makes it worse. I sit beside his cot and tell him to stop until eventually he calms down. Then I get up and leave, if he starts to moan as I leave the room I come back and tell him NO stop it! Usually I can leave on the second try. I have to say though I am a very strict mommy and I know a lot of people aren't comfortable with my level of discipline.

C also find the naughty corner funny some times but I turn him around to face the wall, he must stand for 1 min or until he can come and say sorry to whoever put him there. If I make him face the wall when he thinks it's funny he eventually gets upset and realises it's punishment. I struggle not to laugh sometimes and occasionally I have to turn my back to him foer a quick chuckle.

Nicole- just try seeing if K will pee in the potty when you get him undressed for the bath. I haven't made C take his nappy off to go pee pee yet, just when he's already naked he must pee in the potty. I heard girls maybe from 18m but boys from the age of 2 which is why I was shocked he wanted to use it but I won't ask him to do more than he wants, he will tell me when he doesn't want a wet nappy anymore I'm sure. Going to get pull ups soon though because he tries to pull his nappy down like pants. It will be so nice to have him off daytime nappies at least by the time no2 comes. I think then I can tell him nappies are for babies too. Oh, if DF is up to it ask him to show K how to pee in the potty. When C was squatting next to the potty Elwyn kneeled down in front of the potty and weed into it. Ever since every wee has gone in thew potty. Some people say you mustn't make a big thing of it and clap when they do it but C works best with appreciation so every time he gets a big cheer and he claps his hands so proud of himself! LOL

this is the little place i call home.. pics was taken the night of my wedding before i came home.. sort of like tradition where the bride does not see her house until the day of her wedding..BUT i had most of the say in my appliances and decor etc..
