Zee - sorry about the job ! Man that sucks, but something else is waiting around the corner for a talented gal like you!

Zee - we bought a whole lot of CHEAP R6 a pack stickers from toys r us, and cam loves to take them off and stick them into his colouring in book.

Good old wax crayons and a colouring in book also keep him busy. He also loves to take the crayons and put them in and out the box.

He also LOVES the feather duster and can play with it for an hour!!

Also - from top tots - buy colourful features from a hobby shop and teach them to blow them to move them around the floor! Cam loves this!

Girls I wanted to tell you from top tots - They told us at this age its really important to teach them to suck in a new way - closed mouth sucking to help them develop cheek muscles - like a ball sucker, or up a straw, or blowing on a whistle.. for those that are drooling a lot, or not closing thier mouths - like cameron - all these will help them with new words and with keeping their mouths closed

Imagine how boring it would be if you had a perfect house. Nothing new to look forward to!! I like doing up our home slowly.

We have been busy with it for about 6 years.

Lelani, don't worry about not having all the money now.
When my brother and SIL bought their house last year they said that it's going to be their project for life. They also bought a old house on a 1800sqm stand and they have so many plans. They painted and redid the kitchen counters when they moved in. Then they took out carpets and put laminate floors in. Next they want to redo the kitchen cupboards and then long term they want to put a pool in, build a complete patio/entertainment centre and at the back of the garden there used to be a veggie garden and they want to build a 'clubhouse' there with couches and a big tv for the guys to watch sport in etc.
That's what makes it fun buying a house with so much potential.
My dad bought our house when I was 1 and the changes he's made in the last 23 years is amazing. The house has doubled in size, the pool was added, new garage, maid's quarters, big patio etc. etc. et.

Simone - I am so so sorry about you retrenchment angel .. luckily you have slowly seen it coming! Im sure would have still been in shock though. I can tell you that i was retrenched and i had worked there for SIX YEARS and suddenly the called me in and said we are retrenching the whole company from immediate effect! so i packed up and drove away BALLING my eyes out! AND i can tell you that it was the best thing ever.. Most people find something MUCH Better and I did that was for sure! i was not happy for a long time and it gave me the chance to make a change and learn so much more! You will have your ups and downs but enjoy this time iwth your family and cry when you want!

Lisha I can't wait for SATC. We have to watch Iron Man 2 first because C can't have just girly ness lol but I can't wait! Everytime I see the add I shriek inside! lol

Lelani the house looks great ... love all that space ... sure you're beside yourself with anticipation to get cracking on all the stuff you want to do in there.

Vix thanks, after reading your response I got myself appointment for Saturday with chiro ... need that acupuncture treatment that she does as I've oddly started to enjoy & get relief from it ...

Zee as you know in Dbn winter not terribly cold except for days when there are cold fronts or rain ... we just put his plastic slide on the lounge carpet to run amok ... he digs in kitchen cupboards ... train set provides about 30mins of fun ... tv ... finger painting and play dough ... can't think of much else now ....
