OMG I put C down for another nap but he was moaning, I left him and eventually he went quiet. I suddenly hear this shouting so I went in and he has a whole brand new 250g bum cream tub spread everywhere, the cot, the mattress, the pillow, his hands, feet, tummy, I could barely see his hair through the thick coating of cream on his head, his dummy was coated thick. All I could do is laugh, it was so funny, a whole pot of cream! Thank goodness I didn't leave the sudocreme in his reach. Luckily it seems to be water based because I stuck his head under the tap and washed his hair fairly easily.

Helen- we did the same recently with insurance but until I can get my SA licence I can't get the car insurance down.

Nicole, good news about the presentation.

We had the Downs bloods done but none of the expensive scans. My doctor never even mentioned any of them but then you have to take into account that I had a GP and not a gynae … I wasn’t on a medical aid and thought I would go for the initial scans to a GP and then move to a gynae but I liked the GP so much and had so much trust in him, that I stayed with him. I will probably go to him again with nr 2, this time around I’ll try to not eat the entire house and its contents so that he can shut-up about my weight gain!

Oh, and my child can say “geld” before saying her name. What does it say about her mommy?!

Any exciting plans for the weekend or am I too early?!

These insurance companies are something else. Christi as its hopefully fresh in your mind, how did I get the ticker? I've been trying but I just can't seem to get it right and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...?

Simone - Congrats on the weight loss. As for my Englishness I actually started typing nincompoop but I wasn't sure of the spelling (still not lol) but I deleted it and wrote fusspot instead lol, I also wasn't sure if you'd know that one either...

Helen did you find out what the small print is regarding the insurace. I am sure you are clued up, but sometimes the cheaper quotes come with higher excess bills or more security needed etc.

Did anyone see the carte blanche episode regarding your car insurance?
Every year your car's value decreases and the insurance companies automatically adjusts the value your car is insured for BUT they dont adjust the payment according to the new value of your car!!! The only company who does it automatically is Auto&General (if I remember correctly) For the rest You have got to phone them at the beginning of each year and ask them to adjust your premium of your vehicles according to their new values.

Just thought I'd share this with you all, and maybe we can all save a few rands every month..?
