Thanks Helen, its full time so I'm afraid I will be missing Iris lots & lots!! But its an extra income which we frankly need right now with all the changes we're wanting to make to the house :-(

Iris did ok, the lady said she even ate a second helping for lunch but she refused to drink anything they offered her and almost cried when she saw me yesterday afternoon. And then when I gave her the juice they were offering her the whole day, she drank it without a fuss!!

Its scary how insurance companies is ripping us off. We were with Santam previously and then moved to MiWay and saved R800/mnth! can you believe that? And we also upped our household content with MiWay and added the trailer to the policy... Service from MiWay has been good up to now, dont know how they will be when we need to claim though.

Congrats Christi! I was just thinking that I must ask you if you've heard anything and also to find out how Iris was at the day mother? Is it full or part-time? Very exciting for you :) Well done! X x X

Simone happy studying. You'll get there with Addy and the nightime drinking, just a little more perseverance ;)

I'm amazed, been getting insurance quotes today, I knew we were being ripped off but I didn't realise quite how badly, we're currently paying R1700 for household and car insurance, its high partly because we live on a small holding but also because the insurance companies are a cheek, after spending most of my morning on the phone I can get us better cover on the household (I've upped it by R50000) and car and cover for out and about for R950. When I phoned Dial Direct for them to re-quote us on the new property (that's who we're with now) they still wanted R1500. And they've been totally snail paced in handling our current claim, its taken them until yesterday to approve the claim and its going to take the panelbeaters 10 days to repair the inside of the car plus VW another 10 days to fit with a new computer and to re-code etc so I'm going to be without a car for anything up to a month still! Needless to say as soon as we are finished with this claim I shall be switching insurance immediately!

Julz, I was just about to say about the popcorn. I love making air popped popcorn and I sometimes buy the light microwave popcorn. It's like 90 calories per serving.

I had SO many blood tests done when I was pregnant. They couldn't do downs in normal way so I had to go for fetal assessment. Then at almost every appointment I had blood taken for something. I can't even remember what half of it was for. I have a fear of needles but by the end of my pregnancy I was so used to it. And then of course from 24 weeks I had a monthly Steroid injection and 3 steroid injections the days before the birth!

Thanks everyone!

Ally, its nothing fancy, I'll be like an office manager and doing admin and then overseeing some staff doing packaging.
The company sell all kinds of fittings for doors like handles, hinges etc. Will definately be getting us new handles for our outside doors... lol

Ally, congrats on you blog, may it be the start of more wonderful things to come.

Simone congrats on the weight!

My doc did the downs scan at 13w and some minor bloods, but I didn't have the expensive ones done.
