Christi you can try. They will only cover 60% of medical aid tarrif and they can reject it if they feel that your pregancy wasn't risky.

Discovery are going to hunt me down as are all the members when they see their new tarrifs for 2011.

Julz & Lisha, am I reading this right? Is it possible to claim the money Discovery took out of my savings for pregnancy in 2008 back from PMB?

Lisha it was a blood product (cows blood) that they refused to pay for. The anaesthetist gave it to me while I was under after I had used all the blood and they were waiting for more to arrive.

The doctors are convinced it was that product that saved my life hence me sending the claim to the council. Once the team of specialists at Discovery looked at all the medical data they not only paid what they though fair (3000 = 4 pints of blood) they also paid the difference for trauma.
