Morning ladies,
Boy am I pleased you guys didn't chat too much this weekend!
The game lodge was wicked! We stayed in a tented camp, ate drank and had 2 loooong game drives with our ranger. The night drive we came accross the lions in the road walking towards us so we had to pull over and let them pass, they were so close we could feel the air move as the brushed past our truck. Elwyn was sitting in the side (open game veichle) and I would say they were about a foot away (30cm) then in the morning we found the exact same pride just having taken down a wildebeast and they were feasting, we managed to drive in as close as 3m from the male before we decided it was close enough! What an experience! The elephants were also very close but they have a small young herdso they were pretty relaxed. I thought the 1 was going to touch my neck with his trunk! We woke up on sunday morning to find a giraffe right outside our tent. When we arrived we went to chill in the tent before the 1st drive and DH got all horny for a quicky (of course I didn't say no) and I said to Elwyn, "something is making funny noises outside" I went to the bathroom and there was a big male baboon performing outside the window, I told Elwyn we made the wildlife horny LOL
Unfortunately as we left I must have stood on something covered in mites/ lice. As we drove back to mums I had a really itchy sore knee and I was scratching and scratching, eventually I lifted my trouser to see what looked like hundreds of teeny tiny blood splats all over my knee. At closer inspection they were little mites with their heads burried into my skin. I didn't want to pull them out all over the car incase they find there way to DH or C later so I waited until we got to mums 15min later. I rushed to the bathroom to strip by which time they had made their way to my boob, bum, side, even found a few in my pubic hair. All up my left side, it looked like I had murdered someone with a tooth brush that splattered. I jumped in the shower but had to litterally scratch each mite off with my nail. Elwyn had the wonderful job of checking my bum hole, and I'm not joking they'd found their way there too. Eventually I got them all off and washed them down the drain. It felt like hundreds of little pin pricks whilst they were on me. Thanks fully I have had tick bite fever so if they were baby ticks I'll be fine but will just watch myself for a while and metion it to my gynae on Monday.
One lady on my drive was hideously annoying, talking all the time, she knew everything and anything. At luch I said to Elwyn don't tell her I'm pregnant, I have a feeling she's one of those that will be "you can't do this and you can't do that" and I wanted to have a light beer for our night drive stop off. Just as well, she declared on our drive that she is a Gynae in the Northern subburbs of JHB. Well I was so disgusted with further conversations on how "irritating" it is when a woman wants to "push" at 3am and that's why she rather does inductions during the day! I told her C was a Ceaser baby she declared I was a gynaes best friend and such a "good girl" it's really terrible! I'm so pleased she isn't my gynae! My gynae never once consdidered induction because my body wasn't ready. It made me very thankful for a pro natura gyunae even though I will have a C-sec because I know he doesn't do these things because it's "easier" and more "convenient" Sadly I can't remember this womans last name to warn people about her but thankfully she's retiring from pregnancies after this year. She is an Older lady with ginger hair. Her first name is Pat so if you think you know who she is then watch out. And she was the biggest piss cat I've ever come accross! 6am and she refuses to let the game drive start unless they have booze on board.
If I don't take my B6 3 times a day I start to feel so sick but if I remember I feel 100%. I am starting to show already! Until this weekend I didn't even look bloated but suddenly my belly has popped high and low. Veryy odd! I don't feel at all bloated. Unfortunately I think I might get quite big this time around!
