Nicole I LOVE the card your df gave you.That is so thoughtful and sweet;-) GErard did that last year and i burst into tears...this year he got me a slice of cheesecake instead of a card..lol. He asked me where the card was that made me cry...and sadly...i dont know where it is...so he said what's the point..at least we'll know what i did with the cheesecake!

Nicole...and mom buying u pressie?? AWESOME! My granny bought my mom a mother's day present this year as well...a nightie from edgars...my mom was shocked...gran is 83 this week!

Zee I am so glad Ziani enjoyed Kindermusiek! They just love that social interaction and to keep busy! cute re: bump;-)

re: bottles...I am not too fazed...Addison drinks from cup, glass and straw cups during the day. Bottle only when she sleeps...BUT then she asks for it if we attempt to put her down without it! But i know alot of kids at least 3 still even drinking juice from a bottle (BAD!!!)...

Nelria so glad u had a good shower...lotsa pressies;-) Sounds like u are sorted!!!! Cute re: lea going back to bed! lol. This morning at 4am madam screamed blue murder to come to our bed and then slept til SEVEN AM!!!! And she went to bed like 6:15pm last night?? So long sleep minus 5 minute wake up for bottles in between.

wrt bottles, K only has one on waking, gives it to me when his done and then a bottle before going to sleep. during the day he drinks his tea/juice/water in a sippy cup.

K's teething symptons has settled so he doesnt want his dummy as much anymore thank goodness!

I have set a goal that i would like K off the bottle and dummy by his birthday this year. So i will start around 20 months.

Nelri so cool and sweet my mom buying me a mothers day gift, but thats my mom..

My mom bought k a big spade/rake set and he was so impressed, but he was riding the spade like it was a horse

mandy - I agree reasoning is working so much beter for me these days and also she now knows the sternness is not to be ignored

like she woke at 4 this morning so i go in and she is on all 4's moaning etc so i popped her on side and said NO too early sleep some more and woops dead quite as I walked out

then at 4.30 she cried and our power was off so i felt bad as she was in pitch pitch dark so i got het to our bed but when she drank bottle she started to moan etc so i said again quite loudly NO sleep its still early and low and behold the kid slept till 6.15 - whe discovered her dad in bed then so luckily he got headbanging to wake this morning LOL

my point is yes i will leave things still understood otherwise not worth frustration

Also this wknd she responded to pooping i asked when she grunted and she said yes and touched her bum so woooooooohoooooooo progress but i reckon also at 2yrs

Distraction is key. I am also a bit worried about the bottle but he only has one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the lounge before bedtime and like Lea when he is finished he gives it to me so I am not going to rush for now. Will probably start giving him a sippy cup in the afternoon and see how that goes.

ok so we all sitting on couch last night lea being silly and bouncing up and down, giggling etc when she stops looks at me and go Mamma? myne pappa man our hearts melted she just wanted to tell me how chiffed she was that she had brett as a daddy and her 1st 3 word sentence wow big step and brett melted obviously and is still beaming

So its a little quiet at work, and i actually have time to pop in!
I have managed to take cams morning bottle away for now!! He just didnt want it for 3 days in a row, so i stopped bringing it into his room in the am.. this morning he looked for it and then when he couldnt find it, he forgot about it again. I am going to try to keep this going so for now he only has one bottle a day at night at bedtime. YAY

As for dummy, I give him the dummy and teddy at sleep times and keep it on standby in the car if he gets moany or when he hurts himself and needs soothing.. otherwise he goes through the day quite happily! I cant imagine HOW I will stop giving him the dummy for sleep time but i am not in a hurry to do that. I think Julz has a good system of leaving the dummy in his cot only.. that way they do forget about it. I do think that they are starting to understand being a big girl or boy now so I have started to use that.. NO you are a big boy now, you dont need that, and then distract them with some toy!

Morning Mommies. Glad everyone had a lovely Mothers Day Apart from the frame df got me such a cute card and wrote in what the thought K would say like "thank you for always making me yummy food and lying with me each night before i fall alseep, thank you for teaching me words and how to give kisses and hugs, most of all thank you for always loving me, being playful and I love you mommy like all the stars in the sky" it was just to cute. Then my mom came to visit in the afternoon to see K (so K could give her his present to her which she loved) and she bought me a cute pink top, cappachino wafer biscuits and chocolates.

Helen so sorry to hear about the guys nearly stealing your car. I dont know what the words coming to! Friday on the news we heard a man we use to do Business with in Jefferys Bay was shot in an armed robbery! 7 guys against one old man, it was sooo sad

K was really cute this weekend and found everything funny, his also become so talkative and listens to instructions so well. He was so happy to see my mom yesterday that he cried when she left, i think my mom also had tears in her eyes.

We tookk K to the Zoo saturday morning and did we have a blast - he feed the ducks, shouted "dogs" over and over when he saw the wild dogs lol, he was touching the goats, we played on the playground there and does my boy love a see-saw, lol and then he was mesmorized with the giraffe!
