hey vix, glad you found the tricks to sort Jonno out. For allergies, you can use Allergex which is the generic of deselex. Because it is for allergies, it is supposed to be used long term. Like once a day, before bed. We have started to use Flixanase nasules daily at the moment to keep cammy's nose at bay, and it seems to be keeping the nose clear instead of turning yellow or green. I dont mind it running, but its the yellow and greenies that clog him up but the flixanase it R144 for about 6 weeks worth. Its a bit extreme but ive just decided that i have to try something long term.

Vix ADdison was on zyrtec from about 6m...either just before or after, I'm not sure. Ask paed about it...she was on the drops. Closer to 1 she went onto the syrup. Thought it was milk related. After months of being on soy milk Addison started reacting to it, totally possible...happened with my friend's child as well.

Zee- Discovery will only pay pregnancy through PMB's if you see a GP or Midwife, specialists are not paid for as of Jan 2011. but if you do go that route remember to claim after every single appointment.

i am having hell with Discovery telling lies to get out of paying for my approved PMB's, they first told me they only paid half because the codes were wrong so after 3 months of fighting with gynaes rooms to change codes they tell my gynaes rooms they won't pay me more because I'm on hospital plan but actually that;'s illegal so now I've threatened to take it to medical aid council, looks like they're sorting it now though, will know next week.

Jono's tummy is better, i phoned to make a paed appointment on thursday but he was over booked already and only open again on tuesday, he said if i think it's an emergency i can go to ER and he will come out to see Jono but i honestly don't see it as an emergency so i decided to spend the 5 days trying out things.

SO i decided to try him on Isomil because he has had a snotty nose for months now and i'm now thinking milk allergy........ can cause extra mucus so maybeeeeeeee well yes trues as day his tummy ran only once since i changed his milk and now he has regular stools again yippie!!!!! His nose dried up for the first day but is back to running again although it's no longer green just regular clear snot. So it looks like i may have an allergy prone boy on my hands.............. bloody typical;, not one of us has any allergies or is ever sick.......................

so i want to ask, what can i give him to dry up his nose if it's allergy related, i gave a hayfever med tonight but it says over 2 years so i gave just 1ml but tomorrow i want to go find something at least from 1yr if not possibly 6m+ so any of you mums with allergy suffering kids please impart some of your knowledge.

looks like i'll have to leave C with Elwyn and bring the twins on Monday because mum has just got a new puppy today and that will keep her too busy to look after the twins I'm sure.

I did phone Nelria but she's looking after the whole family's kids til tuesday so there's no way she can come to public place on her own with them all.

anyway sorry for the short post but i have to go to bed and seeing as i can't take the PC to bed I'll have to log off

Hi Christi, I never approached Discovery for any approval, i just go for the check ups and ultrasounds at the gynae ... Wonder if I should've! Hope you have a lovely bday and that you'll feel better soon ... Can't wait for the pics of the room.

I slept until 9 this morning since 9 last night! Z had a sleep over at my mom's. I cannot even remember when I last slept so much, definitely pre-Ziani-days ...

I would love to join you on Monday, but I will 1st have to see what the wheather does I'm still sick and don't wanna sit outside if its gonna be a day like today, Iris has also had a runny nose & cough for the past few weeks so trying to keep her indoors as much as possible.
Then my mom is also coming for a visit today & staying until Monday, so will have to see what time she is planning on leaving Monday morning.

Mandy, I'll be joining you working on the 26th, 28& 29th Better salary but not such a nice boss....

Hubby has finally decided that we can finish Iris's room!!
Actually I sort of bullied him into it, cause he wants to move her into her own room and I then cornered him about the state of her so called room.... LOL We've been using it as a guest room & storage space and there was damp in the cupboard previously so we could'nt use it and it stood empty. I asked him if he would like to have a storage space as a room LOL. So now we've got a very nice light pink paint for the walls, and yesterday DH started fixing up the cupboard and we are going out to buy Iris some nice bedding & new curtains this afternoon. Ooooh, I can't wait!!! Will post pics once we are finished

OH, and some more good news!! Discovery has approved me for PMBs for my pregnancy so I get 9x pregnancy visits with the GP paid in full from PMB!! And most of the blood tests will also be paid as well as 1 scan for the 2nd trimester, all paid from PMB. YIPPEEEE !!! I am going to see the Gynae for the 1st time on 10th of May, so hope he will be happy to let me see the GP for most of the normal checkups. GP said he wouldn't mind as long as the Gynae is happy with the arrangement.

We're having a family lunch tomorrow for my birthday, so need to see what I'm gonna prepare... Got a Leg of Lamb in the freezer and saw a recipy for a marinade with Buttermilk, mmm wonder how that will taste..? And what will I serve with that, was thinking of a hot rice dish & some oven baked veg?
I've baked a custard cake this morning, still need to fill it though, and my mom in bringing pudding.

Sorry for not replying to anyone, but my mind is like a sieve these days and Iris is asking for something to eat, so unfortunately gotta go....

So the cooking marathon is well under way and I made 2 quiches and Risotto cakes yesterday. Today I'm doing 4 things...tomorrow another 3...I wonder if my jeans will still fit by next weekend. Unfortunately not everything I'm making is waist-conscious. GOod thing I'm going back to gym after this week!!
