Lwasi wow long time no see! So glad you have popped in:) Amu is doing brilliantly with the potty training hey? I think cold turkey works best with anything to do with the kids. Sorry got no advice about the pooping in the toilet/potty. What if you go and sit on toilet pretending to poo....maybe pretending to be scared and then be super proud you did it?? Maybe it'll make him want to do it?? Just an idea...lame as it may be.lol. Thanks re: comment on parties:) Great time was had by all!

I'm in two minds about buying a dummy for the baby...because Addison didnt use one...I really am reluctant to 'spoil' this new baby with a dummy. G is DEAD SET against one...refuses to let me even buy one to take with us to hospital.lol. So will have to see what baby's temperament is like and then send G out if necessary.

So sleepy now...just wanna go home...

Wow everyone really busy with year end coming up. Babies to be born, still some parties, kiddies getting over dummies etc.

Nicole congrats on the dummy. I have been gearing Dylan up so must go buy the present for him and he thinks the faries are going to take his dummy and bring a present. It really is our fault that he has it. We really underestimate him.

Lisha glad that you don't rush the sale. Things happen when they are meant to. Shrey is such a good looking kid!

Helen sorry about Nina's ears. The grommets are working when then pus comes out as our ent explained. If Dylan gets the drainage then I must call for drops so it sounds as if they are working!!! Glad they are still in place.

Simone your bedroom sounds wonderful. Glad you spoilt yourselved and did it up. Important!!!

Lwasi, i think the pooing in to toilet for some of the kiddies is quite a challange - Keiran included.

He has been potty trained since the beginning of the year (or the end of last year) and in the time he has only done 4/5 poops in the toilet! I really dont know what to do but thought i would tackle this during my leave in December, he does everything at school but does not poop at home in the toilet??

Ally party preps sound divine! The only decor i have is all lightning mcqueen (besides for ballon) so its just table cloth, servittes, plates/cups/party packs and a happy birthday banner.

Well as for us: Amo was bieng potty trained at school and still nothing we decided to go cold turkey on his birthday, so we stopped nappies altogether including the night nappy, well we'v had 2 accidents at night last tuesday and and last night. during the day he wees very nicely he ask for the potty and tells me when he wants to go wee.

Well wen it comes to pooing he's scared to poo in the potty, when i ask him to poo there he just says mama the poo is finished, meaning he doesnt want to poo, but eventually he will poo in his undies, the poo 'dissapears' only when i ask him to poo in the potty. so im taking it bit by bit. Im clue less as to what to do for him not to be afraid of pooing in the potty.

Mandy, it was such a pleasure. I'm glad you had such a nice day. It was really great to see everyone and was quite nice that it was such a small meet. The kids played nicely and there was no fighting. Theo is really such a good dad and Abi & Aidan attached themselves to him. All the way home they asked when they can visit Theo again lol.

So the twins' party is on Saturday. For the first time I have NO stress over it. Because I've kept is so small it's so much calmer. My brother will braai boerewors for us, will be part of the 'hot dog stand' with onions, relish, condiments etc. Then like last year, I'll have a candy buffet and everyone can make themselves goodie bags from that. Just doing cupcakes with pretty Mickey & Minnie decorations that I'm making today and tomorrow and then I'm doing M&M cookies. A few balloons, a few other decorations that I'm making and that's it. Oh and then I'm getting the kids chocolate milk, C designed little labels for me to cover the bottle labels with and then I've got red and white paper straws that I'll be using to tie in the whole theme. I'm excited for it to be so super chilled.

As for the book, I only have 5 more recipes to write then I am going to print out EVERYTHING and start editing and checking spelling/grammar etc. But with spell check etc. that should all be fine. Can't believe I'm coming to the end of this journey now.

We're leaving for Stilbaai on the 4th already. I cannot WAIT to get away from everything.

Actually the houses are really expensive here. (actaully if you coverty everything to R, it is expensive - except cars).
In SA we had a really big house with a 2000m2 lot. we've paid R8000 a month.
we've looked at diff houses here. we've started at $400 PER WEEK. that is a small 3 bedroom and 1 bathroom house. with a very very small garden. most didn't had a garden. the $500 started to look better, but still no garden (and my kids needs a garden). So, we got this house for $600 per week. (if you convert is to Rand it is R19200 per month) it is not as big as our old home. and it is oldish. but a really nice home and a nice garden. it is 1km from the sea.

The prices is high here. We currently stay in a townhouse (in a elite suburb - next to the river and very near the CBD). it is furnished and has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. the company is paying $1300 a week for this. that is hectic.

Really hope once the meds kick in Nina will be 100% soon.
