Simone Dh and I also try to follow that rule although sometimes can be tough. Shame G is so sweet to phone you first and say those things. I hate accidents we saw the same thing on Friday, really heartbreaking.

Yoza it sounds like the kids are doing so well. Ouch Siba's ear infection, i despise when K gets one as it really affects him.

Ally some really exciting stuff happening for you!!!! I try give K veg with all his meals as well, he mainly eats carrots, corn, peas, green beans and brocolli.

I also love giving fruit. Today for school i packed him a apple for his 10:00 snack (they provide a sarmie) and then for his 14:30 snack i packed him in a yogurt and banana. The creche also provides these things but i just pack extra.

the ladies who have kiddies at creche what do you pack as snack? looking for new ideas?


last night we just had chicken and mayo toasted sarmies with feta salad and baked chips of course K wanted nothing to do with it. Going to make beef straganoff today in the hope that he will eat it. Although i really feel like sundried tomatoe and pecorino pasta with bacon and mushroom, but will have to do that tomorrow night maybe.

Nicole my child had half a dish of cereal and chips at church. Some water, tea and then about 1T of lamb for lunch. She had no carbs or starch...ate no supper. I know she wont starve though...so maybe just a phase these kids are going through!

Yoza that Buhle sounds so freakin adorable! She is gonna be running around very soon then u have trouble!!! lol

So one week down and I lost 1.3kgs so far. Without exercise. Starting tonight....so I'm sure...well I hope my loss will be bigger this week. So ready to start dropping numbers on the scale!!!!!!

We had a nice weekend...took Janine shopping for the kids school stuff. Addison had a ball with her 6yr old cousin...but they were rolling around on the floor...I was not impressed! Then we went to visit somebody and she was sitting on the dirty stoep...oh my word..I refused to touch her and immediately told G to wipe her down when we got home and change her clothes.lol. I am so not meant to be the mom of a boy I was telling Lisha earlier...lol.

G and I had a tiff last night...Heavens I cant even tell you about what. Our rule is that even if we are angry we can still cuddle at night (We both LOVE that rule...lol). So we go to bed...cross but we snuggle....this morning we woke up and its weird to then still remember you are pissed off.

Anyways he left for work though we did chat about lunch, etc...and said the dutiful 'I love you'....then he calls me at work telling me he misses me so much and loves me...he said he felt teary thinking that we wasted all that time being upset with each other (doesnt help that he drove passed a dreadful accident on the way to work where a dead body was in the road:-( )...so all is well again....I am pretty sure I am the one that owed him an apology...but hey if he says he was wrong who am I to argue??? lol. Just feel very lucky to have such a loving husband who puts his love for me ahead of his 'manly pride'...even if he wasnt wrong.

Vix: C sounds so super adorable with the helping. Maybe the reason that he now wants someone to bath with him is so that he still feels a connection now that the twins are around.

Helen: Yay on S26 i just love but its so priey buhle is also on S26. I dont use gold its so expensive i use the normal one. Siba was on nan pellargon i also never had problems with it. he gained so much weight on it. I am so happy to hear that your enjoying your princess. those giggles are precious.

Simone: LOL addy and your mom. The food your mum made sounds divine.

Nicole: baby steps my dear with your mum and bf. Im sure in time it will get better.

AFM: the kids are doing well, siba has an ear infection im not sure where he got it, he does not have a fever or temperature though. his ear started leaking had to take him to the dr he is now on antibiotics.

Buhle is doing great he is cruising more more with the furniture im sure in no time he will be walking. It should be interesting to see how they will play. she is saying more of mamamamama when she wants something.

Hi ladies.

Well C and I decided that every lunch time we'll give them a cup with a bit of water in and see how they go.

WRT potty training, it's going relatively well, we've of course had a few accidents but they're pee-ing in the toilet more and more. It's more C than me, I'm VERY impatient and I freak out every now and then, but try to not do it infront of them obviously.

This morning I made the twins Cinnamon French toast with fresh banana and they weren't so keen at first but soon wanted more. C asked me why I put fruit and veg with every meal and I didn't even realise. I'm quite happy though, they eat almost every single fruit and veg you can think of, just haven't tried cabbage (other than coleslaw) and brussel sprouts, mainly coz I don't eat them.

Anyhoo, I'm not sure if all of you saw on FB, I'll be coming to CT for one night only in Feb. There's a food blogger's conference and my dad was so kind to borrow me the money so I can go. I'm so excited. I'll be meeting my favourite food editor, Abi Donnely from TASTE and Phillipa Chefitz who is an AMAZING cookbook author. And of course all the other food bloggers that I love and admire so much. I wish I could meet the CT girls but I'll be landing at 16h00 on the Saturday night, going to sleep over at another food blogger and then the conference is from 08h00 till 18h00 the SUnday and then I fly out at 21h00 again. But I'll be coming to CT probably in March again (the secretive thing I'm not allowed to talk about yet) and then in April we might be coming there for holiday. C has never seen the Cape and my aunt is dying for us to come stay there. They stay in Welgemoed so I'm sure we'll be able to organise a get-together then.

Anyway, let me get back to my photo editing and posting.

Julz ouch on Neils stones, im so pleased he is doing better. Glad you were able to catch some rest yesterday. I hope Dylan is not falling ill and it is teething. K's molars have pushed through on the one side and still pushing through on the other side and he has also been a little bit miserable.

Mandy congrats on the weightloss . Im glad you enjoyed the meet.

Ally yay on the potty training. wrt cups, K drinks from a plastic cup at hom usually when he has lunch and the same at school, but like Dylan he is also drinking out a sports bottle which he prefers than a sippy cup/straw cup etc. K drinks quite well with a cup and only messes when his actually being naughty.


Vix c sounds super sweet and such a great helper, im sure he is loving being a responsible big brother.

afm we had a good weekend, althoug K is throwing alot more tantrums but i think its teething related. It was extremly hot here, so we spent most of the time in the pool and having pinics outside. Then sunday my mom and her bf watched K for an hour at our place whilst dh and i went out, i decided that i had to at some point start trusting the dude but thought i would do it slowely and when we got home i was suprised on how much K actually enjoyed playing with him. K was quite restless last night but slept to 06:30 this morning which he hasnt done for proberly about 4 months.

His eating is still up to shit and just wants rolls with cheese or bread with cheese grrrrrrrrrr.

The drop off was alright this morning, he cried a bit in the car but when to her okay enough.

Vix C sounds like such a sweet kid ans so helpful.

Mandy congrats on the weight loss!! The swimming lesson sounds like it went so well! I am glad you enjoyed your meet too. So nice to meet everyone. We have them more often now in ct.

Neil is home. He is perfect and was so kind to let me rest today. Dylan is not great so he was also quite lazy which actually helped Neil and I . I hope it is just teething. He has a low grade fever so I am not too worried.

I bust a stitch which always happens in my belly button. I am so done on the cutting into it.

Dylan has been drinking out of a cup for almost a year I think. We only offer him a regular cup at home and only fill it a quarter of the way. He also drinks out of a glass if we help him. I just thought that he may as well learn how to and we did have spills but not too bad. Now if he drinks through a straw he tips the glass and it messes more. We still use the sports cups for the car or when we are out. In a restaurant he drinks from a cup or glass.

Ally yay on the potty training.

Seems all the kids are getting into it now. I think Dylan would be further if we actually put him in undies. I must just do it but haven't felt like cleaning up at the moment. I was just into bed last night when he puked and it went everywhere. Shame. He slept in my bed for the rest of the night.

Anyway I had best be off. Going to watch a film with my man and then going to bed.
