my weekly post.

Firstly congrats to Zamzie. we want pics.

I had a very sad day today. one of my colleague was pregnant. we had her storkparty just before christmas and the baby was due at the end of this month. On tuesday morning, she realised the baby didn't wake her up with his movements as he always did. she went to the dr and he send her for emergency c-sec. the baby was born dead. and today was the terrible. to see her walking slowly because of the c-sec was so sad. and she was crying the whole time. The coffin was right in front of me with his photo in front. The funeral was really beautiful. the people said the most beautiful things. but it was really sad.

Nelria i think subconsciously I knew it was Dischem. I went there last week and I had this feeling that I needed to look for something. Then drove passed one today and thought...Simone there is SOMETHING you need to find there! lol.

That heat sounds crazy! I was contemplating coming to CT again after xmas...thank goodness we didnt! I cant handle heat! Not sure if sleeping in air conditioned car would have been safe....with car being on all night??? lol


Nelria there is something in the Cape Town air...or maybe my child just loves shopping...because she comes alive in the malls and restaurants. Asked the waiters to pick her up and they put her on bar to check it out...she was chatting to the other people eating. And mind you she didnt resist the kisses (Of crazy aunties that will remain nameless....LELANI...lol). So ya...CT is good in creating affectionate little girls;-)

Lelani that lunch time routine sounds so nice!! Dont worry...before we know it it'll be December 2011 holidays! lol. Glad you and M and doing so well on new eating plan. i plan to do alot of reasearch for our menu from next week. I like fun, tasty and interesting food. i cant eat salad every night. Will let you know if I find any good recipes.

Julz, I know that you must be stressing right now but I am glad that you atleast know what the problem is. I hope that the pain does not get more intense and that all is well until you get to see you gynae and then he can let you know what the next step is to take. Sending lots of hugs and kisses your way.

Anyway, really don't have time for much else but will try and reply soon.

I went for the scan. I have a large ovarian cyst that is already bleeding and another small cyst on my cervix. I took the results back to dr and she said that I have got to see my gynae. He is away until monday. She said it can wait till then. I asked her why as I always get them and she said this isn't the type to go away possibly and it should be seen by him. If I get any major pain I am to go to the hospital. Fecking typical I tell you. Anyhow at least she isn't like the previous doc who said everyting was IBS!

Nelria I agree with you. I was born in JHB and you have the best weather. I can't stand ct weather.

I am hitting a blank as I am stressed and I hate waiting to know these things. Last time I had a cyst like this it did go so lets see what he says.

had a old friend from school here we had such a nice time

ok so big news I sleep trained xen - turned out all this time he needed own room so when i get back as of from the 1st day he is going into lea's room and fx they work together

here is how it went - gave him allergex 4 nights in a row - paed wouldnt subscribe sleeping drops so chemist recommended allergex as it causes drowsiness

so he went in own room 3.5ml allergex and formula and boob at 6

1st night slet till 2.30 gave milk and allergex and slept till 5.30
2nd night slept till 4.30 so i gave boob but no meds
3rd night slept till 4.40 gave boob
4th night slept till 3 then cried -gave dummy no milk 3x then slept till 5.30 had bood
last night NO MEDS slept till 4.30 I gave dummy and slept on till 5.30

WOW - cant tell u the differance

also lea sleeping on floor and she gets of own bed and come look for us in xens room at 6 (YES 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so will open her cot whe I go give him boob so she can get off herself as xen is going in normal bed till he can crawl as i need to lie with him to catch extra winks when he wakes early

also - MY CHILD has changed in capetown like u wont believe she now greets strangers with hugs and kisses WOW she didnt even greet her uncles before now sat only with me, brett and ouma and oupa now whoever comes here gets the full monty of kisses, hugs etc WOW

simone - the foam bath is at dischem - baby isle just look for biggest can u ever saw LOL

vix - it sucks re bf all i can think of is maybe put some glycerine on your nipple? just to tempt latching and also maybe try lying on your side instead of sitting as xen drinks like that alot even when he refuses it when i hold him (think I am making him hot and uncomfortable craddling? - another think maybe try completely newborn latching technique u hold baby with one hand - nipple with other - cup hand with thumb above nipple and 4 fingers at bottom squeeze nipple flat (to make horizontal line so it is shape of a mouth then bring his head in quick and deep while hand holding boob shoves nipple all the way in - shape of boob matches shape of mouth when he closes the nipple pops round but his sucking is secure - good luck hun

lelani and julz so so sorry and i feel your pain i also want more but brett is totally adamant 2 is enough and reminds me so much that it makes me ill hearing it he picks the chaos times to say sarcastically lets have more and constantly makes remarks like kids never have them or 2 is 2 too many blah blah blah but it hurts as it feels like they are burdens to him and that he would deny me more even if i could afford it - oh well I have 2 and am happy but would like optionstill

christ fx for job girl I will be looking in jan too as I failed my one exam(too embarassed to tell u yet) and after many tears I cant start internship any more and cant justify being home for one subject and xen (he needs school too and wont cope with 2 as I want my sanity) so all options exhausted so got to get job to release some burdens of brett so we can buy house etc sniff sniff

gautengers - our weather rocks LOL I tell u I wont change pta for anywhere shitt girls this place is either hotter than a fish in a kettle or the wind is blowing freakin lawn furniture around and sandblasting your skin off = last night I was sleeping on the tiled floor for relief - aircon on now just to breath - at 11 last night a HOT wind WTF mmmmmmmmmmmmmm me so glad for our weather now LOL
