Morning ladies

How did all sleep?

We had another restless night at least not as bad as the night before. Not sure what's going on with him. I did give 5ml's of Calpol in case he's teething but that did not help one bit. Hope he sleeps better this weekend.
As for me, I have horrible menstrual cramps and should be curled up in bed but here I sit after climbing a 3 storey flight of stairs and making the trek back down. Had an old man of an insurance assessor tagging behind me and he was amused that young me was complaining that the lift was broken Think my boss should send me for a massage after that exercise lol.

Pfairy I am so sorry for your friends loss. That must be the hardest thing for any person to deal with

Simone I had a good chuckle at Addy and her rice cake antics. She is very clever lol.

Oh and we should hopefully get our car today, if there are no hiccups. Our current insurance company giving dh a bit of a hassle over something stupid they are doing so hope that get's sorted asap, they are so much cheaper so hope it does get fixed soonest.

Hi ladies.

Sorry I can't reply to everyone now. The whole family is leaving today so it's going a bit hectic. My dad's just left. He's driving on his own so he doesn't want to drive through, he's sleeping over in Kimberley. Then the rest of the fam are all leaving tonight at 10, they'll be driving through.

I'm also ready to go home now. I miss my kitchen and I miss the kids being in their own room. Even though I think we're going to struggle with them slightly to get them back into sleeping by themselves.

I also want to do my regular 'year planning'. I like to have an outline of what my goals for the year are. Nothing like making new year resolutions, just what I want to achieve in the year. This year I'm being quite ambitious...usually it's with my weight etc. but this year it's more to do with my 'professional life'. I want to grow my blog and my food styling career to the max and obviously I want to lose weight but I think I put too much pressure on myself every year and then I get disappointed in the first week and then I give up. So this year I'm just going into it with the idea that I want to be healthier and happier. That's all.

Julz, Sho I have no idea what that could be with Dylan, But I would also be very freaked out.

Angie I'm so sorry about your BIL. Wow, you would think after dealing with Cancer so much I would be used to it but everytime I hear someone's been diagnosed I get so emotional. It's not an easy thing to go through and I don't wish it on anyone. I will be praying for your family!

Pfairy, how sad!! Wow, that must be the hardest thing to have to do. Burying a baby that you never had the pleasure of knowing.

ANyway, the family apparently want to go see how eels are being fed at the only attraction in Stilbaai lol. Wooopdeedooo!!

Thanks for the support ladies. I have managed to calm myself down. This isnt the first and none of the others required serious treatment so all will be fine.

simone she is so funny!!! And clever too. Don't you love how they boss us around. I feel like a waitress or in the car an airhostess! And then he still has the nerve to argue over what the colour of the boat is!

Okay question ladies or input. Dylan came to our bed last night. He was sleeping when and then he suddenely held his breat for 10 seconds in his sleep and then jumped awake crying. I got a fright.

Helen - I haven't finished anything! I'm not nearly ready! I've bought a few odds & ends but as this baby is coming in a completely different season to Bryce very few of the clothes I have now are going to work - bryce's 0-3/3-6 was summery clothes with this one I need more winter type clothing. Bryce's 6-12 months was 99% winter type clothing but with Riley I need to get summer clothing!!!!! eeeeeccccckkkkkk!!!!!

AND it hit me last night that I haven't even started organising OR packing my hospital bag? I have a pair of pj's, a gown & slippers so far!!!

Other than buying some toiletries & a few packs of new baby diapers I haven't done much else yet!

I'm in some serious $hit if I don't get my ass in gear SOON!!!

Brrr its a little chilly here this morning, that's probably because I've been up since 5am though lol No doubt it will warm up as the sun rises then I'll be complaining its too hot!

PFairy - That is so sad, I cried when I read your post, I can't even begin to imagine what that poor mummy must be feeling I think that must be one of the worst things that can happen...

Zamzie - Congrats on the birth of your LB

Julz - Hope the cyst is nothing too serious, it sucks that you have to wait for an appointment with your gynae though, must be awful to hang around waiting when you'd like answers straight away. So glad Dylan has settled into his new daycare and glad that he's doing so well with the swimming lessons.

Lisha - Enjoy your new car, glad you got your way hehe

Simone - Addy sounds funny with the rice crackers hehe, these kids learn things without you even knowing where they got the idea from. Oliver now wants salt and pepper or ketchup on all his food - including sweet things! Especially if we're out at restaurant he'll point at whatever sauce is on the table and insist that he has some - luckily for the time being he is fooled by me pretending to put some over his food, not sure how long I'll be able to get away with that though!

Nelria - Congrats with the sleep training, hope the good nights continue! ANd Yay on Lea coming out of her shell Sorry about the comments Brett makes wrt having more kids, maybe in a few years or so he might change his mind? I also wanted to ask (just out of curiosity lol) you're from a big family aren't you? What is the age difference between the youngest to the oldest and then also what is the smallest and largest age difference in between?

Jessica - Time is flying, are you all set and ready to go?

Lelani - Well done on the healthy eating and so happy for you that DH is enjoying it as well

Vix - Hope you enjoyed your haircut and some me time. WRT to BF, I think you are doing a fantastic job with the twins, I couldn't even manage 6 weeks with one baby, I found it way too exhausting and too demanding, I really admire your perseverance with it. All I will say is don't beat yourself up about it, I broke my heart over not being able to give Oliver enough and I put myself through hell before I decided to switch him on to formula yet for both him and I it was the best decision I ever made. I'm not suggesting that you give up BF all the time you're happy, I'm just saying please don't get yourself upset about it and don't feel guilty, you have to do whatever is best for you and your whole family, whatever option that may be

Sorry ladies that is where I hit a blank...hello to the rest of you lovely mummies.

AFM all is going well, taking Nina to be weighed a bit later, I think she's going to be over 5kg...she's certainly filling out so it'll be interesting to see how she's doing as I've only had her weighed once since she was bron and that was a week or so before Christmas. She's still a handful at times but (I'm probably going to jinx it now by saying this...) its usually during the day and not at night so its a lot easier to handle, we've been having success with the night feed, she has her last bottle between 6.30-7pm then usually wakes around 1am, I feed her and DH winds her and then she's usually back down within half an hour without a fuss which is loads better than the horrible two hour sessions I'd been having.

Anywayss my little man is asking for his breakfast so I'd best get to it Have a lovely day!

I wont be able to reply or really post. Just wanted to let you guys know what's going on. I couldn't post from my phone the whole holiday, and still not back at office, so quickly posting from DH's phone.

We had a lovely holiday, came back last week - but got terrible news on Monday - my BIL has gland cancer, and is starting with chemo next week. We are at IL's at moment to give support, but everything is so sad, and it's as if I have to be strong for everybody, and I am beginning to crack! Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers!

Okay so my child is...I don't even know the word! She wanted rice crackers so I gave her 5 in a dish. She had 2 left and wanted more...so I told her she first had to finish the 2. She comes back with the dish empty and the 2 crackers in her free hand. So I say that she needs to finish the 2 that`s in her hand. She disappears dor a minute and comes back with dish, empty and her other hand firmly behind her back! The more I ask to see what`s in her hand, the more she hides it and shows me the empty dish asking for more! Sneaky bugger!

Also they are so flippin opinionated and stubborn and specific about their wants! I want egg. I want bread with butter! I want tea! I want grapes. I want chips. I want a pink biscuit! Eish! Imagine...I want bread with butter! She doesn't get sugar on her porridge but saw me one day putting sugar in mine so told me she also wants sugar in her porridge.lol.
