Simone you telling me about Layla & your sil motivated me yesterday ;) Hope to keep it up everyday.
lol @ Addy being picky about her dresses ... typical girl hey.

Vix so pleased that Alex has accepted the boob again, maybe he just had an off day. You are doing brilliantly with twins & a toddler. Oh and nobody can fault you for not teaching C things at the moment because your have your hands very full now. In any case they pick up so much during everyday activities xxx

Vix it is like after I lost my uterus and people would say you are so lucky to have dylan. It would piss me off. I know they meant well but that completely makes my feelings seem pathetic.

Multiples seem to be so desired among women who are ttc yet it is so high risk it should be avoided and that is just the physical aspect. We won't even talk about the emotional aspect. Remember before we had kids and would say how hard can it be and look at how many of us really really struggles with our first so I don't want to imagine what multiples will be like. An yes moms already know how lucky they are, but we need to acknowledge all that they go through.

Glad alex latched. Good man!

You really are a super mother. x

I think that is why I try to make sure everything is just right. I only have one shot at it. Only problem is that there is no such thing as perfection and so we need to just relax and enjoy rather than stress about our kids. I don't want to see dylan graduate and think of all the stress involved in getting him there. Iwant to think back to all the great times we had and all the funny mishaps.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Hi moomies,

I would like top apologise for bieng MIA when I know you guys wanted to hear so much about me and Amu, I bought a vodafone modem butr I cant seem to connect it at home so I have no internet access like I thought I would have. Please accept my humble apologies.

well when I got home my sister brought Amu to me and I kissed him and she took him back, then I went inside greeted everybody then all of a sudden I developed a tail (Amu) he hasnt left my side ever since but I enjoyed it so much.

Bonus for mommy is that he is truly speaking we communicate like adults, I understand exactly what he is saying and he can articulate in a way that one makes sense of what he is saying, he also understand what we say.

Offcourse he is not a talker but we undersatand ewach other clearly.

Simone- I hope you get your date night! I know I'm being too hard on myself, thanks for your advice!

Thanks everyone for your support, i know it's better to have fed babies than worry over what exactly I'm feeding them but i think i was just so disappointed that Alex wouldn't drink from the breast. BUt....... i decided to try him on the breast again today after being on the bottle for 24hrs and he latched no problem and drank like a charm, it was almost as if he missed his boobie LOL I tried him on my left breast which is a lot bigger than the right and he wasn't particulally impressed, i think i really need to drain my breasts of milk before i let him drink, even slight fullness was obviously causing him issues but after a full emptying session yesterday I didn't get engorged throughout the night which obviously helped. I'll keep trying to express as often as possible and maybe he won't have more issues.

My expressing was back up again this morning after i took an Eglynol last night (i usually just take one in the morning) so i think it might also have been that i was late with the tablet. I do know the Eglynol is the only thing keeping my production up.

I feel a lt more relaxed again today so hopefully we'll not hit another hurdle.

I think I just get a little disappointed from time to time because I intended this pregnancy and birth and child (note i say Child not children) to be my last chance to get everything "right" that i struggled with the first time and being twins nothing has gone according to how i would've intended. Don't get me wrong, i am thrilled to have my 2 boys and wouldn't change them for the world (except maybe i could trade them both in for a LG??????) but it's not what i was intending on when i was TTC.

People always always always tell me how lucky and blessed i am to have twins and i think that in time i will feel that but i don't think people quite think through the consequences of having multiples (except you guys who are immensely understanding but i think it's because you're living it with me)

There is a girl i know who is TTC and she says she will do anything to fall pregnant and would LOVE twins or triplets (she has a toddler too) and i really don't think she has a cooking clue how hard that would be. I think the first 6m of raising a child is horrible but 2 at the same time is just hectic.

Well i suppose it is hard if you have high expectations like i did, maybe if you're not worried about birth choices, which milk, bottle or breast then it's a bit easier?

Christi- hi stranger, thanks for your input! I think i am probably being a bit hard on myself and your post did make me think, wow, she's right, i have made it 5w giving twins BM so already a fair achievement. But it also made me more determined to continue on for longer. Thanks.

WRT how much BM they drink Vs formula, i have never heard that before and my boys actually drink the same amount of BM as formula from a bottle so i think actually the amount they drink is governed by the energy needed to drink. That's why i was told to BF no more than 30min or they loose weight. BM has all the right stuff but formula is heavier and has more calories which is why formula fed babies usually are more content.

Lisha- I'm terrible, i should also teach C some things like shapes. I'm glad Shrey picked it up fast. He's a bright little spark that one, he'll keep you on your toes as he grows up for sure!

Ally Abi sounds like a little girl. They love attention and pretty things!

Yesterday addison wanted to fit on dresses...and the one from sil is a new hello kitty one but sat on her like a sack...she didn't wanna wear it. Said she`s giving it to Layla! Lol. She wanted a pretty flowing dress on with big flower. Then pink shoes and her pink nail polish!

Lisha now that's the difference...ny child runs from insects.lol. My brother brought a worm in and she freaked! Lol.

Lisha that sounds so cute u sitting with shreyan:-) I downloaded some bb applications where the kids plays with phone and they learn alphabet with each button pressed and they can colour pictures. Very nice!

Morning ladies!

Hubby let me sleep late today so only woke around 9:50am! Lovely!

AND second night of success with panty! Dry bed this morning! I'm so glad she`s doing so well, but I know these kids are unpredictable so we`ll see what happens!

Vix I know I can't equate your feeding twins to my one child, but one of my most painful memories is after 2w check up and paed said addy was not growing enough and I needed to give formula. I stood crying in the kitchen with the bottle in my hand praying she`d miraculously latch or i`d have more milk to express:-( so I can imagine how u feel!

You cannot beat yourself up! You have given them BM for over a month now. If you can give part EBM and part formula every day for another few weeks that will be good enough. We have 2 paeds and my GP all said to me to let go and relax...that there is nothing wrong with formula nutrition wise.though I know with the twins BM would be best...u have given them such a good start already and look how they`re thriving!

The stress will reduce your BM as well. So maybe speak to paed, lactation consultant...somebody whose advice u trust. That being said...I hope Alex starts latching again!

Christi I'm so jealous...can't wait to have a house to redo!

Zee shame at Ziani being bang! Lol. Her Heidi fixation sounds like Addison`s Annie obsession. Though its been Toy Story for weeks or months now!

Lisha you`re quiet this morning? Busy?

Julz must be such a relief that Dylan takes so well to school and you are happy with the class now! Re: cataflam I forgot I needed script cause OTC was finished! Now I know.thanks. I`m hoping Enigma is okay:-(

The weather is so crap in PE! We haven't been able to take Addison anywhere! Just wanna take her to the beach one day:-(

One more day of holiday for me:-(

G and I are supposed to be going on a date tonight to this upmarket sushi restaurant. We`ll see if we go. We`ve been together everyday but kinda far apart. One of us let's the other one sleep late. So say I sleep late...I wake up at 10am then G makes me breakfast. He then tries to take a nap...I watch some series and play with addison. Then we`re both awake and we have to clean up. So its like we miss each other all day. Its really just this last week...but a week can feel like forever! Last week we snuck out just to have a cup of coffee every second day. So looking forward to tonight if we actually go.
