Julz I am also loving this age despite the tantrums & whining. They are doing the most adorable things. Suddenly Shrey has discovered the joys of dancing to Alvin & the Chipmunks. We have to replay all the time and he bows at the end lol.

It's amazing how they figure out how to pair up like that.

Cute Lisha. Dylan and his friend Tristan are the same. Tristan got into trouble and his dad gave him the what for so Tristan pointed his little finger at his dad and back chatted so Dylan joined it anyway the two of them thought it was so flipping funny to scold the dad.

Dylan is also very quite with other people but with us at home he doesn't stop talking or singing. He sings twinkle clearly now. Oh and I though he was saying f*&k but he was saying frog actually.

Now he just goes come mommy, up mommy and pulls my arm or pushes my bum! And I have to look at everything.

I am so enjoying this age!

Where is everyone today? Too quiet on here!

Julz wow Dylan is doing so well with the swimming. Re the 20 min rule - I will try that too but Shrey protests a lot when he's not done.
Lol @ Dylan saying 'Neil honey' These kids are little parrots now, repeating almost everything they hear.

We went to see friends yesterday that have a lg 2 months younger than Shrey. She's apparently started saying F!ck. They aren't sure where she picked it up but she uses it in context lol. Then she also started saying that she'll poke people with the knife ... Sound like too much of the wrong tv to me! She sounds very cute & clear with her speech though, everything is 'I need to ...'. Shrey was very quiet around her at their place but when they come over it's the opposite - maybe a territorial issue. At one point they both went into her room and we heard the giggles only to go in and find both ready to jump on the bed lol.

Hi Ladies

Been reading all the posts. Back at work today. Well actually yesterday but not so much.

We had a lovely christmas. Went to friends on eve for carols and father christmas. Dylan wasn't too keen on Father Christmas though and went to sleep at 9. My friend spoilt him with puzzles and other goodies. He slept so late on Christmas morning but was very excited to see his bag full. We also didn't buy him anything expensive as neil has kitted his bike out for Dylan which was expensive so I just got him odds and ends which he liked alot.

On Christmas day we got an invite to friends so just went there for a lazy lunch and Dylan spent alot of time in the pool.

I must say that he is doing so well at so much all of a sudden. He can swim about a meter in lenght now and is totally confident in the water. So sweet. Since having taken the dummy away during the day his is talking all the time. His latest is calling Neil "Neil honey". We had such a laugh about it. He is really bossy now.

Nelria sorry about you loosing out on your birthday! I think it is really mean of the family.

Vix how is it going in the house of horrors?

Lisha dylan also shivers in the water. I am quite strick and take him out after 20 min max. Luckily he doesn't protest too much.

Lelani your xmas sounds great! Are we doing the meet at your house again?

Then on Sunday we put up our tent and spent the night camping out. The wind was howling and Dylan was a bit nervous but he went to sleep and slept through!

I will try and catch up with everyone. Great that Helen doesn't use dummy but I am am more scared of the thumb as kids use it for longer on ave but we all do what we think is best. At least the Nina can't loose her thumb like they loose dummies!

Hi ladies

I have been reading the posts all weekend but just never found the time to log in to reply Things are hectic on the home front with my sister & family down till 10 Jan and staying with us! I was actually relieved to come to work this morning hehehe but they are of to the beach for the day so Shrey will have a quiet day at home with my mum. He's loving having a house full of people though.

Vix I am so sorry Jono is still battling with cramps. Hope it stops ASAP. Love the pics on fb of C opening his presents ... he's adorable. How's Alex doing? From your posts he comes across as a very easy baby.

Helen how's the adorable little Nina? Glad she finding a way to self sooth like you want. Shrey is still sucking his thumb but I'm leaving him for now ... think he still needs something for comfort.

Mandy sounds like you had a blast with your family. Are you back home now?

Sorry ladies that's about all this exhausted brain can remember. Please forgive me for not replying to everyone.

Shrey loved all his pressies and attention. He really got spoiled.
Only problem is dh & bil got him cars that really are for bigger boys & Shrey is being scolded everytime he pushes it on the carpet or sofa's because he mustn't break it cos they won't be able to play with it lol. I eventually got fed up of them making Shrey whine so asked them if it was Shrey's toys or theirs & not a drama since Shrey is getting a bit of a cold this morning, think it's from being in the pool too many times this past week, he will be shivering but refuses to comes out. Desperately need to get him to some swimming lessons as he's becoming very daring in the water but can't swim.

Our Christmas was fine, on the 24th we went to my MIL, ate way too much and Z was so excited about the pressies that she was stil whispering "geskenkies, geskenkies" and "myne Kersfees" in bed!
Christmas day was a lot of hard work but it was all worth in the end because the food was delicious and with chilled wine it was a really great day outside. I'm trying to upload some pics on FB but its sooooo slow. I got a book from Elizabeth Gilbert Committed, a stunning stunning Afrikaans poetry collection from DH and hand cream, etc. My mom bought DH and I a fridge for outside since ours broke, so we were thoroughly spoiled.

I'm taking my baby brother to the airport later, he's flying to Cape Town to see our eldest brother. I'm jealous!

Ally, what an annoying girl! How can she say something like that? Luckily he's young and there will be other girls.
