Vix, wow, you had me in tears now telling about the Kangeroo care. It must be such a special moment between mom and son.

Hey friendies,

So fisrtly great news on Jonathan, he is now weighing 1.720kg so was moved to a regular open crib and is managing to regulate his own temperature very well. Yesterday we started Kangaroo care so they screen us off and I take off my top and lay him skin to skin on my chest and cover us together with a blanket. It's so nice and relaxing I started to fall asleep LOL. Aparently ever since he has been screaming his head off until someone picks him up LOL He's very much enjoying his cuddles from mommy and Daddy. Daddy always goes in the morning and Mommy in the afternoon, not for long unfortunately because I have to go and get back in the time Alex & C are sleeping but at least it's once a day and in a few days he'll be home for lots more love. The nurses tell me he is going to be a great BF candidate because he is always searching for the breast and opening his mouth wide and he has a strong suck so I'm excited to get him hope and get him started on the breast full time. I know I'm going to be knackered but it will all be worth it just to be able to re unite the tweenies. My eyes get all teary when I think about their reunion, I compare it to being seperated from Elwyn for 2 weeks and I get very sad to think that way so I can only imagine how the tweenies felt after leaving the womb they shared for 8 months. I am so proud of Jonathan though, considering he was born measuring 31w4d on the sonar he has really grown so quickly and is so strong and healthy, crazy to think that there is nothing 'wrong' with him but if we'd have left him inside with his brother too much longer he may well have ceased to be. Alexander is such a strong baby way stronger than one would expect from a 35w baby but that's because he was taking all the best nutrients and leaving buger all for his brother.

C is getting better with Alexander, the green eyed monster comes out still from time to time but he has been able to be soft and nice mainly. He calls Alex 'boetie Alex' LOL that's his daddy's fault

I got out of bed too fast without thinking yesterday evening and felt my scar pull sore. Now I appear to have this lump behind the scar on the left side but it's not particulally sore, however the right side is sore but no weird lumps? So I'm trying to decide if I can wait 2 weeks for my gynae to get back from leave or if I should be seeing his replacement. The pain is not terribly bad, I can function normally but it is there only since I got out of bed wrong. Thing is I have quite a high pain thresh-hold (even the nurses kept on about me popping pain meds as sweets because I clearly didn't need them for pain, apparently I was the talk of the ward because I was up and about by myself early the next morning when everyone else was still in bed feeling sorry for themselves 3 days later LOL) so back to the pain, I don't know if the pain just isn't THAT bad or if it just isn't THAT bad to me........ I think I'll wait a day or 2 and see if the pain and or the lump subsides before I decide what to do.

Lwasi- sweetie, you are so strong, soon you are going to be on your way home for the most enjoyable christmas ever with you Amolicious! Xxxxx

Julz- I feel your pain with flights, I used to take 3-5 different flights just to get to the country I would start my tour in and by the end of 6w I probably would've travelled 20,000km, goodness I don't miss the actuall travelling but I miss seeing the countries, India must be a real experience! I hope to go to India one day. I hope you enjoy your trip, but it must be hard leaving your boy at home I'm sure. Xxxxx

PFairy- I must say it is so nice this year for me because we decided to do NOTHING at christmas, not even buying christmas presents because we have a bike for C and the tweenies are too small so I don't even need to do shopping. Christmas is so stressfull with food shopping present shopping house decorating, gift wrapping and then still people travel out to family parties, my goodness, I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I hope your DH manages to get your present shopping done in one day. Thanks for your advice with C, I will definately try speaking to him that way.

Mandy- Jono is really small, I never imagined I could hold such a small being, he probably won't be that much bigger by the time we have our Jan meet so you'll also get a shock when you hold him, especiially after the big boy you had in Cam!

Zee- enjoy your last week at work! I hope you get ebverything finished without too much stress. Can't wait to see Z's pics!

Ally- sounds like you are having a great time, keep up the action with your demanding hubby girlfriend you'll burn off those festive season calories! Xxxxx

O.k that's all I can remember right now and I need to bath before Alex wakes up.

sho, no time to post these days - busy but good december so far. Vix - wow Jonathan has picked up more than his birth weight and is doing so so well! Must be a strong kid coz he is yours! Here is wishing that he comes home soon! But not too soon, so that you feel confident that your little boy is safe at home! I was quite amaed how small he was in one of the photos with elwyn holding him. The palm of his hand looked bigger than his head!!!! WOW!

We had a baby shower yesterday and they had people massaging our hands and feet! very fancy and when they were finished with me, cameron wanted a turn so he sat down and they massaged his hands and arms! too cute, he loved it !!

Went to yeesh this afternoon and cameron was sweating so much - he jumped and went crazy - he is jumping off every surface now like a littel froggy, we have to watch that he doesnt hurt himself all the time - if he is on stairs he wants to jump, if he sees a chair, he climbs onto it and jumps off etc etc!! and I am not ready for broken bone number 3~~!

Ally - sounds like you guys are having a ball! You are obviously not the lazy type, dh and i always complain that its not much of a holiday with a 2 yr old as you actually DONT get to relax!! but you sound like you are having fun, with your frisky hubby too!

Julz glad you arrived safely, good luck for the work part to go successfully and quickly so that you can enjoy the play time there!

Zamzie I am so excited for you! now the sooner the better your bundle should arrive so that hes not born on christmas day or new year~

Okay just a short post. I am tired and want to skype Neil quickly so that I can see my boy and get to bed at a reasonable time. It is 8h45 here.

The trip was actually quite good. I slept on the plane and it was not bumpy like last time. All the check points were fine too. It felt so good to be back here but really missing my family already. Neil said Dylan had a rought time last night and so the Telly tubbies returned his dummy to comfort him and he only went to sleep at 11 last night in our bed. Shame poor little dude.

Anyway got to fly to Mumbai tomorrow afternoon. I am so over planes already and am seriously looking forward to the next 3 days flying by so that the procedures are done and dusted and so that we can work and play a bit.

Night ladies and I will check in on you tomorrow again.

Hi hi all the lovely mommies

I’m still alive. Although I love this time of the year for the Christmas feelings, etc, it is also the most busiest time. Aren’t we suppose to be in a Christmas mood and relax and take things slow? This past Saturday we had a function at hubby’s work which was great. We were there for about 8 hours and I saw Xander for about a half an hour. Halfway through the party, me and Mia had to drive back to Klerksdorp to one of her parties. Then drive all the way back to the freestate to hubby’s party. This weekend mia’s got another birthday party. I am trying to take leave for a day to buy Christmas gifts, but there is no day available. So, hubby is taking leave tomorrow to buy the gifts….
But I am still reading all your posts and laughing and crying with all of you.

Mia is doing great. She is getting cuter and cuter everyday as well as naughtier. Those tantrums…. I really do not like this stage of their lives. I just love them more from 4 years. Still 2 years to go with miss Mia. According to the crèche she is potty training very good now. She will be off the nappies in January. All the nappies I pack in, come back every day. So that is a good thing. I must try and do the potty training during the weekend as well. Apparently they go to the toilet every hour.

Vix, you are such a great mommy and so much energy with a toddler and 2 babies. Jealousy is so common during this time. One woman explained it like this to me: you and your hubby is happily married and you get all the attention, etc. suddenly, he decided to marry another girl. Now there are another women that will share his attention and how will you feel. So, everything Xander was jealous, I thought of this little story. Luckily babies don’t need your constant attention like toddlers do. Two things worked for me: when I fed Mia, I read stories to Xander. All the attention is with him and not with her. That really worked. Or we played with toys, but reading is easier to do. The other thing is to put him in the spotlight most of the time. When he is doing something cute, I will not say: O, that is cute. I will rather say: wow Mia, Look at your clever brother, he is so cute and one day he will learn you how to do that. Or I won’t say: Xander give Mia a hug. I will rather say: Mia, let give your cool big brother a hug. It is simple example, but it really works and I still talk like that. Mia is in a very cute stage now, and gets a lot of attention and I can see Xander is getting Jealous very quickly.

Vix, I can’t believe Jonothan is picking up weight so quickly. That is so great. Think he will be home before Christmas

Ally, I am SO SO SO SO Jealous. Decorating a home?????? Wish it was me. Enjoy it girl. And enjoy your holiday. I see on FB that you are really domesticated.

Vix, that's wonderful re Jono! I'm so happy he's gaining so well. Surely by Christmas he'll be home.

Lwasi, not long now then you'll be home. So exciting that you'll be seeing your boy soon.

AFM, we're still having loads of fun. The twins have hectic colds though, must be the change of climate from PTA to Stilbaai. But AIdan is getting over it now, Abi still has a snot nose and a bit of a cough but I'm giving them Coryx and Illiadin so hopefully soon they'll be fine. But it's so typical, my kids are never sick and then when we go on holiday they get sick! lol

My dad arrived today with all the last stuff for the house. It really looks like a home now. Not just a house. The furniture he bought is SO stunning and after packing everything out and adding all the little touches the house is looking beautiful. My dad really got some prime property here and I thought it was a lot more than it was actually, so he made a very good decision. I'm just so sad that my mom can't see it. It was always their dream to have their own beach house where they could sit and stare at the ocean while drinking ice cold beers hehehe. Shame C was so sweet, he said "Well she has the best view of all now"

Speaking of C, the man has been impossible lately, but in a ... umm...sexual way lol. He is CONSTANTLY turned on. This morning I was standing doing the laundry in my FUNKIEST pj's and he came from behind and started humping me...in a very jokey manner but still! lol And that after last night's 'session' as he calls it lol.

I've been shopping like a mad woman. I never EVER thought Stilbaai would have SUCH stunning decor shops! I've found 4 really amazing little shops and I've bought so much stuff. Little signs that say "Remember...as far as anyone knows, we're a normal family" one for the laundry room that says "This Laundry room is self cleaning...DO IT YOURSELF" and one for the kitchen that says "If you want breakfast in bed, sleep in the kitchen" lol And then yesterday we put up the Christmas tree and some other decorations, it's really cute.

But wow, I really did just take up like an entire page lol. I'll speak to you all soon!
