Vix and Helen: For the milk production ginger beer worked for me. I bought stoney light and would drink that. Luckily buhle never had any problems with it. And yes rest and rest i know not easy with house, toddler and newborn baby.

I tried the laser treatment when i was in hospital which the MA helped. So that atleast helped and the nipple creames gave me some relief especially the medella one.

Ive not been able to post. My sister is around so have been busy. its nice to have a full house and to be spoilt by my older sister.

Vix: Dont worry about C it took siba a while before he utterly fell inlove with her sister. Its quite a change for the little guys who was with mummy all by himself. I mean if DH held buhle siba screamed and we had to learn to manage. Things do sort themselves. C will show interest and kiss the little guys.

And at that time buhle was colicy which really was too much for me because siba was an easy baby he slept quite well at night as compared to the lil madam

helen: when reading you posts i totally get what the sister means second time around. Enjoy your precious baba. Oh all this talk about newborns. And they grow really fast second time around. I can see you are inlove with your germ who would'nt be. Bless your mum for being so helpful. Mine was the same not that she cooked but cleaned ironed and washed the dishes.

I am so happy for you ladies on the birth of your babies and that they are healthy. Its so exciting reading about the developments and how they relate to the little ones.

Jack is doing better & dont need the drip
he ate a bit last night....dh first gave him some of those sachet dog food stuff...wow it stinks....lol
then this morning I saw he ate some pellets
I'm so relieved!!!
Only thing is now that his got more life in him, it's much harder giving him the meds & Bolt is so protective over him.....last night while busy with Jack....bolt got so upset with me that he bit me...no teeth marks or anything & he released almost immediately, but just enough to get me to leave jack....got quite a fright, but was also very sweet that his so protective over his friend.
He does not leave Jack's side at all!!!

Ahhh Vix we wait anxiously to hear today's weight gain too xxx I'm so glad Jono is doing so well & your other boys are making a plan for you to take time to get to the hospital.

I took the Eglynol for about 3 months (had a 6 month presrciption though) but I only took it when I returned to work & my supply dwindled.
If jungle juice tastes horrible just add the Blackthorn Berry to your tea or juice, that's the only way I did it in the beginning and it worked like a bomb.

Julz you af symptoms sound terrilby like mine Hope you're feeling better this morning.

AFM we had a okay night. Shrey woke up complaining of leg pain at 2am but I think he just wanted to sleep next to me My headache got progressively worse last night and only stopped as soon as the AF started ... damn it was horrible. And Shrey was in such a hyped up mood which isn't normal for a day at home so he made it difficult for me to just relax.

well I'm still not 100% but I'm at work. This place is going to push me into an early labour or I'm going to land up in a loonybin!

The one girl resigned in November and didn't even come back to work her months' notice. So I've been trying to help out where I can, taking over things that she usually did but its not helping cause I'm spending so much time doing "her" work that my own is falling behind. So I said to my boss that I'm going to concentrate on my work for the time being as its falling behind as I'm using my time doing her work and then I know whats going to happen come mid-year & end-year discussion around bonunes & increases I'll get given a inconsistent rating again! No thank you! Now he's scheduled a meeting with me on monday to discuss my performance inconsistancies! I'm so tempted to phone my Union & get them involved in this bullshit!

Julz- I hope you have an awsome trip. I really hope to see you on the 21st, and I hope I can bring both babies with for you to see (you will be the 1st to see them both if so)

Helen- have you been 'sunning' your nipples? I found that worked really well with C because they were just so soft but the sun kinda toughens them up. You just need to expose them in direct sunlight for 10min. If you're worried about your pale skin burning then apply suncream to the breast just leave the nipple and areoli 'naked' and exposed to the sun. Otherwise the only other advice I have is to make sure you get her to suck in as much of the areoli as possible, shove it in for her if she's not opening wide enough. I haven't had any big issues this time, a couple of times Alex has tried to suck the boob in from the tip of the nipple but as soon as I get that stinging pain I'm un latching him. Only problem this time is he is so tiny his mouth doesn't open very wide so I am really having to shove my nipple in, but he has a fantastic suck so manages to hold it quite well.

Simone- I am a very bad scream shout smack mom, I'm far too quick to fly off the handle but I do try these days to give a million warnings first. I have this new rule the 1st time I ask maybe you didn't hear, the second time you're ignoring me by the 3rd you're just being plain naughty and that deserves a smack and a trip to the bedroom to think about it. Dumping him in his room seems to adjust his attitude most times.

Elwyn has only just left for the hospital but I'm so excited for him to phone with todays weight gain and news. I went down yesterday afternoon. What we're doing is Elwyn goes in the morning then when he comes home from work I feed Alex put him down and leave both kids with Elwyn. Alex sleeps 4-5hrs most of the time sometimes only 3 but it seems to be long enough for me to get to the hospital and back. I still fed and changed his nappy so that was nice. Usually he screams the ward down for food just before it's time but after I changed his nappy and stroked his face he was so sleepy I couldn't get him to drink his milk LOL the nurse was stunned because he is always testing his lungs 15min before feed time. Must have enjoyed having mommy there. His drip was taken out yesterday, his stats are perfect so hopefully soon he won't have the little heart monitors on and I can hold a love him comfortably.

I made up a batch of Jungle Juice to help with the rehydration, it's not very nice, it tastes like dirty watered down apple juice LOL Think I'll make it with grape juice next time.

I got the Eglynol so hope that start working well. Lisha, did you take the Eglynol or the generic version? Someone told me yesterday the generic doesn't work so well so I took the origional but wow it's not cheap hey? How long did you take it for just one month?

Mandy it is perfectly normal to question our path in life. If we didn't wouldn't grow as individuals or as couples. I love having a therapist as she explains my dreams which is super cool and she always says that each individual in a dream is a part of us or our subconsious so this is basically the "male" subconsious coming through. I hope you work through this. xxx

Helen you are doing so well. If only one nipple is sore then it is probably the position Nina is in when you feed on that side. Maybe she is tugging a bit? Sometimes it is just more natural to position the baby on one side. Just a thought. Maybe try a different position and see how it goes. Get some laniosh sp? but the bepanthan is also great.

I feel bad for you vix that your second time round isn't as easy as it should be but am so pleased for you helen that it is.

A teeny bit of me is so sad that I won't have no 2 but most of me is actually quite pleased. I don't think I would have the energy to cope with a toddler and new born especially after today. Dylan was hectic but he has been coughing for 4 nights so probably tired and then all teh change. Worried about next week but such is life.
