Simone - I am so happy for you and DH that you got the back pay that you have been waiting sooo long for!!!! It's so nice when you have extra cash to settle some debt!

Ditto Cj also eats his food mixed! And he hates fizzy drinks (all of it) We don't ever have coke in our house, so he does not really know coke. HE once wanted I think cream soda, and gagged really bad when it came in his mouth, really happy for that. He has his one bottle of coffee on weekends, either the Saturday or Sunday morning, when we lay in a bit, DH And I would have a cup of coffee in bed, then if Cj is awake he gets a bottle. Funnily enough, he never asks for it during the week or other times when we drink coffee.

Oh, I forgot yesterday Vix I love the storage containers you guys put in the kids cupboards - I think I am also going to steal the idea!!!- our cupboards needs some TLC as they are a total mess LOL!

Julz, that's what I also feel. I just say no. They need to learn that some things aren't meant for them. But saying that, I'm very easy to give in with other things.

Mandy, are you talking about Jessica Seinfeld? i have her book..it's FANTASTIC. And it's REALLY cheap and so beautifully laid out, I think it's a fab gift for X-mas for mommies.

Dylan also eats better when the food is mixed. He loves carrots but not many other veg but if there is curry etc he will eat the peas.

We drink coke. I couldn't care if he wants some. I am the adult. A friend made a wonderful comment. She said do you have to give up sex, (nearly typed drugs and rock n roll) and alcohol when you have a child to be fair. NO. You can have a drink and he has to learn that some things are appropriate for kids and some are not.

We also pretend to pour into his cup but I must be honest, I have tried to give him tea etc but if the fluid is too dark he won't drink it.

oh simone, what a godsend to receive that long awaited cash! you deserve it!, remember to keep some for christmas pressies and december holidays ( I always overspend at that time! )

Cameron wont be fooled with the coke pretending to be poured, weve tried that! damb we wants DADDYs coke whenever he sees it! ( I think Dad has given him too many tastes! ) but he drinks water or halls mixadrink or rooibos tea ( with sugar unfortunately due to the way he gets it at school! )

Im gonna have to start copying that comedians wifes cooking for Cameron - sorry I cant remember their names, but she cooks and mashes all the veg together then crumbs it and then offers it to the kids with tomotoe sauce and they think its chicken nuggets! He literally spits out any veg for weeks now! Naughty little SHITE!

Lisha I'm good with the scones. You know how my lunch situation ended up! Flip i took the smallest meal on the menu and it was half a day's calorie intake! SHOCKING! Gonna zumba hard tonight!

Same with us..if Addy's spots cooldrink she wants. Last night we poured water but then she spotted my brother with cooldrink so he had to pour some in her water. lol.

I only drink sprite zero now, but not often...but I am concerned about the sweeteners in there when Addy has a sip. For the most part she drinks juice and water...and her beloved MILK!

On a whim I checked my bank account...not surprising, it was empty! So went to check G's bank account and he FINALLY got some back pay (not sure which one cause he is owed 2 batches) and it's like 3 times his monthly salary! I am sitting here thinking of all the stuff we can go and pay up now! It is going to help us so much to just get out of this financial rut we are in!

And also just in time for our CT holiday;-) A good day I tell you!

Shrey loves ice-cream and prefers it in a cone. He holds the cone and eats it so nicely - most times no mess but every now & again there are boo-boo's.
Coke he'll get a couple sips if he spots it and if we're not in the mood for a tantrum. Otherwise we've cut down dramatically so he doesn't really see the temptation very often.

Nicole Shrey also loves almost anything mixed with rice.
