Vix sorry the scan didn't go as you would have liked. FX that everything is well and baby no 2 just had a couple bad days hence falling behind and that he will pick up in the next 2 weeks. It must be frustrating reading the same thing from all of us but please do try to stay positive.
Hope poor C is feeling better after his fall and it hasn't left him any scars for his birthday pics.

Helen that sounds pretty much what we do and like you say it works. Dylan has stopped smacking. Now I take his dummy away if he won't pick somehing up that he threw and he then does what he is told.

Angie re: hearing aids...the kids used to tease me!I'm at a point where I dont even ask people to repeat themselves anymore...because after 4 times...I am obviously just not picking up the frequency! I rely mostly on lip reading.

Accents are the death of me...because my brain first has to get used to the accent before it can start deciphering what that person is saying. So I battle when i meet foreigners. Here at our firm we used to have so many foreigners as client! I would die!

I know a hearing aid would improve my life...I really want to go have it done soon. Just scared of how bad it may be now!

The funniest thing was during an interview (I was interviewing somebody) and my director laughed at something the candidate said...so I also chuckled along. I heard something about jail, but couldnt be sure.

So when he left I asked my director what the guy said....Um...apparently he had a drinking problem and blew up a liquor store because they wouldnt sell him anymore liquor! LMAO! I heard none of it...and should have been mortified vs laughing.

For bosses day...I get freakin lindt choccies! These people. Really trying to make it hard for me. But the box is closed and should stay that way...well at least until Addy finds it!

Weigh in today. 6kgs down. Only dropped 1kg this week, but it was cold so didnt push hard with exercises, so next week should be better. But my skirts are sweeping the floors and my pants are so baggy! I didnt think only 6kgs would make such a difference on me, but looking at it like butter blocks...well that's quite a bit of fat off my body;-)

Vix so sorry to hear you are stressed about the growth of the one baby. What did the gynae say are other possible causes? And what can this result in if one twin lags behind?

Lets keep fx that 4D scan will provide more insight and maybe have better results.

AFM - We are all good.. just having MINOR DH irritations that Im trying to get right. Minor issues - laptop addiction which lead to MAJOR marital issues.. But I have allowed it to come this far and I have to change it slowly!day by day! so thats why ive been scarce! I cant sit on the laptop at night to ADD to our lack of regular comminication!

Cameron is fantastic and gals, Im reading a really good book, recommended by another family - about kids til 18 and all the problems you could face with discipline. its called, wait for it,

its first stragergy has changed the the dynamics between Cameron and myself already. For anyone who has a smacking child it works so much better than shouting or smacking or anything! the concept is that when the child does something or says something wrong/mean/that is naughty, simply walk away. When your child follows you, which they will or comes to see why you have left them instead of reacting, you say, calmly ONCE - you dont smack in this house, or I dont like it when you do that or whatever ( ONCE ) and then then wait for them to ask for something, like pick me up, or give me juice or take me there, and then you say, Im not giving you juice for the rest of the day because you smacked me etc.. ( the book explains it FAR better) THe most important concept the book explains is that by being calm and showing the consequence and removing attention away from them ( which you give them when you shout or smack ) you will show them that YOU are the authority and in control. It gives them an unwaivering boundary which they dont like to step over. In a few days, its calm, and happier and cameron is not an angry or aggressive when he is naughty.

Julz- everyone keeps saying to me "oh but Drs scans aren't always accurate" but when you see 2 clearly different sized babies on the exact same screen it's a little hard to say that it might just be a little 'out' in measurements.

I still say one baby should be slightly smaller anyways because it was conceived slightly later but the reason for concern is more that one baby is 'over' growing and one 'under' growing which would only really suggest TTTS (twin to twin transfusion syndrome)

I will just wait another 2 weeks and see what happens from there. I think the bit that a lot of people aren't quite getting is that it's not just a singleton baby a bit behind in dates, that's not the concern, the concern is that if one IS actually taking from the other they could ultimately kill each other which is why we need to monitor it.

I will not go to a fetal specialist now, sorry but it's too late for that besides there really is nothing wrong with the physical make up of the second twin, it's simply a case of keeping an eye out and seeing if we have a case of TTTS.

i know a 4D is just for the fun of it, i just don't like the idea of going and seeing the size difference so clearly.

Anyways my day just became a HUGE pain in the ass, C just smacked his mouth open and ripped half his toenail back falling on the paving so now it's off to clean up all the blood after him running around screaming. Thankfully he's asleep now.
