Vix I am sorry it wasnt as you were hoping it would be. Keep in mind that it isn't always possible to get a true measurement with a scan. I honeslty suggest that you go to a fetal specialist though for a a detailed scan. That is what they are trained to do and they can check all the organs etc with advanced equipment.

the 4d scan is going to be stunning but remember they don't usually give any medical info.

Sorry just a quick one as I know you'll all want to know about the tweenies but I'm super busy baking a cake for C's birthday and cleaning the house so will catch up again later.


My scan was going really well with baba1 measuring 28w5d which is bigger than dates with a weight of 1183g but then baba2 is hugely different measuring 26w5d with a weight of 1019g. feel like i could ball my eyes out but i guess there's no use in getting to upset until we know what changes happen over the next 2 weeks. Each visit baba2 has been getting slightly smaller and baba1 getting slightly bigger. Dr mentioned twin to twin transfusion but it can't be, I am certain he told me previously that i had fraternal twins which have separate placentas unless of course the 2 placentas have grown together it's impossible.

oh well maybe the 4D scan on Monday will show something different but right now i am just too scared to even think about going for another scan.

Ok, I've made an appointment, the lady said that Discovery pays for the tests and I will just need to pay the consulation fee of R350. So after tomorrow I will know for sure if I am going deaf of crazy... LOL

Nelria, hope your little ones get better soon!!! Strongs with the studies, I feel your pain! And I'm only doing 1 subject at a time....

Someone asked a while back when I am gonna stop BF'ing Iris. Well I think I will try December, right now I find the BF a wonderful tool for keeping Iris quiet at night and at least I can sleep... Lazy mommy me...

OK ladies, I am off now - going to pack all my nice lingerie and goodies for our getaway - I am really getting excited now, but have some mixed feelings about leaving CJ with my sister! This is the first night that we would be away from him in 23 months, scary stuff, but about time!

MY sister and BIL love CJ too bits, and spoil him rotten, and they cannot wait for him to come! Luckily we are not that far away, so if anything happens we are a phone call and a few km away.

I agre Iris rather take her to the audiologist first. As the ent explained this isn't surgical so not that much he can do and he said there are tests that he could order but he is pretty sure they will find nothing. He will and the audiologist will work together though and he said that he wants to see the next test to be sure that it is just regular hearling loss.

Dylan had his regular test at birth then at 6 weeks as there was fluid and then I took him back at a year. I believe that testing is important as it creates a baseline from which to work.

I am very social but find myself preferring to chat one on one these days.

I think you should rather make an appointment for you and Iris at the audiologist, as we do otoscopic exam and then the audiologist would see if wax is the problem or not. It could do no harm if you get Iris hearing tested.
