Julz wish I could have gone on a quick trip to Mumbai too paid a bit more than I would have liked to for a sari for sil's wedding. Hope Neil's back eases up soon.

Ally the book seems very nice, expensive but nice Is there a lot of pork & beef dishes in it? If so it would be pointless me getting it.

Vix that is strange that you didn't get any hooded towels but like you say everyone thinks they will get something different. I think next baby shower I'll have to get basics like that too.

Vix i actually have stopped feeling sorry for him, he really just manipulates his way out of things and people go out of their way to help him over and over again and just end up being kicked in the face. At this point as hard as it is, my nephew does not need a father like that!!! I hardly ever see him and this is the reason why.

Mandy hope you enjoyed your date night? Ahhhh so looking forward to Saturday, my aunt is watching K for the night and DH and I plan to go out for a nice dinner and then perhaps catch a movie or somthing. Cannot wait, its been close to a year!!!

oh dear! looks like i was out shopping too long!

i just bought another 8 summer vest type outfits for at home and 2 hooded towels, can you believe 2 baby showers and i didn't get a single hooded towel, funny isn't it sometimes you'll go to a shower where there are like 8 hooded towels for 1 baby. I'm always one of those who is thinking, what will everyone else buy? so i can buy different but then if everyone thinks the same way like Simone was saying with the NB clothes.

I know everyone always says you shouldn't get too many newborn size stuff but i reckon with twins i can pretty much bet I'll be using it for a while and i don't want to be washing every single day so i basically need a minimum of 14 outfits just to get through a week providing they don't puke or pee over their clothes........ crazy isn't it!

Nicole I am so sorry for your brothers 'fall' again from the wagon. It's such a shame and very hard for the family of an addict, wish i could offer some words of wisdom but sadly I am blank. I have never had an addict family member and always distanced myself from other addicts. I just hope he really sorts himself out, life won't treat him too kindly if he he continues like this. Does he realize he can loose the right to see his child if he continues like this? One day his wife is really going to have had enough! Very sad!

Lisha- wow, sounds like you really had a lot to fit in one short weekend! I also would've been pleased to get back to normality!

Simone- o.k some people had genuine reasons for canceling on the day but out of 25 confirmed attendees only 2 turned up. most of whom probably could've said during the week they weren't going to come but only dragged the balls from the floor on the day. Like my neighbor who bugged and bugged us for details and we offered a lift to them and i even told them it's not about the presents please just come and spend a morning having a girly coffee date and they said they will definitely come. so angry at them because i can tell you now they just couldn't get out of bed that morning that's all.

so where can i buy turkish delight from except a supermarket? I am thinking like a sweet factory type shop or something.....
