Vix so glad you got spoilt. Shocking re: newborn clothing though. BUt I think people always assume 'everybody else' will buy newborn, so they'll be on the safe side and buy bigger!

Terrible everyone cancelling on shower though...some people have no manners:-(

Files...I didnt finish on Friday and lugged the box of files home. Did one on Saturday night...took about 2hrs and knew I had 3 HUGE files left. Sunday afternoon I eventually tackle the box and guess what???? The files in the box were OTHER files that just needed to be filed away in our office. I had finished all my work!!!! lol. I did a jiggy dance and was soooo happy!

And I still cut a visit to my cousin short because I had 'work to do' and turns out I had no work!!

Nicole...that is terrible re: your brother! Shame your poor SIL. Its so hard...because she is obviously being a single parent, but actually leaving him...that defines that she really will be a single parent....and that is so hard. I wish your brother would come to his senses...your poor nephew:-(

We had good weekend. Addison is actually becoming more fond of me. She woke up on Sunday and I wasnt home and she was walking down the passage crying for me.

Also I planned to leave her at home on Saturday (my friend was quite rude about not wanting G or Addy to come with us to check out party venue and I was a bit annoyed that she made that demand...as G wanted to see where HIS OWN CHILD'S party was going to be) but she cried so much...not even ice cream could fix my intended absence...so I put her in car seat and took her with.

She loved it...didnt wanna leave.

It's nice...i love that we are bonding a bit more...because her relationship with her dad has always been better than ours. Not saying she'd choose me if she had to save one of us from a building building, but hey, she would maybe pretend to consider it.lol

Thanx Julz. I was worried that it sounded silly. I also love that, you should see the photo of all the kitchen equipment in the book, it's inspiring!

Ally I read your book review and I loved it. I will certainly be buying the book. I love that he gives a list of essential kitchen goodies.

Vix enjoy the baby shopping. I feel so bad for you as I really understand the pain you are going through. All I could to was lie down, but that is easy when you don't have a toddler running around.

Neil's back is still quite bad so he couldn't go to the boys birthday braai, but Lelani, Marius, mylself and the kids had a blast anyway. We will have to get together again.

I am going to have to do a short trip to Mumbai this month and then the reaguar trip to delhi in December so lots of travel coming up. The trip to Mumbai will be a quick in and out on my own.

I know what it is like to be a single parent as I did everything this weekend so it was relaxing as we didn't reallly go out but it was hectic too. I realise just how much Neil does around the house.
