Simone- I'm happy with my weight where it is and actually very rarely diet but i still really enjoy my salads and veggies, I'm sure once you've got to your goal you'll be so used to eating this way you'll continue. AWT says in his book that if you're not eating low GI to loose weight then you can afford to be more relaxed but still trying to stick to the guidelines of a GL diet which is basically what I'm doing.

I must say i have wondered if the twins are both growing so well and equally is because i am eating an energy sustaining diet. My gynae is really impressed with the twins growth and the balance that they have in weight gain which is really inspiring to continue eating the same way.

Lisha- LMAO, i was just wondering if there was something different, you know like if you have a Boer gynae you can probably bet he's enjoy a nice biltong and drywors package, a scottish guy might prefer a bottle of whisky and choccies seems so for ladies................. i will have to have a good old think about it....... but thanks.

Simone- if you want to make homemade burgers then you can always choose rye bread rolls from the bakers, they'd be better on your hips and probably more filling too. Where at MacD's i would need 3 big macs i can't even have a starch or salad with a homemade burger, it's so filling i just have 1 burger in a roll with salad inside and barely finish it.

i was actually thinking yesterday, pre packed biscuits or cookies i can finshe the packet in 1 go, it just doesn't seem to fulfill my craving but homemade oatmeal cookies you can have a couple then feel satisfied. I've got a great recipe for oatmeal cookies here, I'll find it and post it a bit later on!

the shakes are good and I like the fries! I don't like Wimpy burgers either.

Julz- MacD's was always our saving grace in countries like Taiwan where we were served ridiculous things like dog dick soup LOL but otherwise it's always been drunk night out food.

I could never imagine CHOOSING to eat MacD's as a dinner option! gross! Besides I'd have to eat 3 big mac meals to fill me up. I do use the drive in for choc milkshakes though, that is an addiction of mine, a nice thick shake!

Nicole sorry all is not well with K but I'm sure Mandy & the ENT will put your mind at ease. Also if the op is required just think of the improvement in K thereafter. I know it's hard not to stress about them going under though so stay strong my friend.

Vix LMAO I was wondering why you're asking me specifically about what to get your gynae ;) As Julz said a simple thank you card will probably be the best. Otherwise whatever you'd get anyone else from whatever other culture you'd get him too :P

Simone yes I think my little man does deserve most of the credit, he adapted incredibly well to everything.
I agree with Vix, you can babble away because it's likely to have a positive impact on some of us (myself included for sure).

You ladies are so good to eat so heathily, dh & I are only now starting to incorporate salads into our diet again and pre-baby it was a norm!!!

Julz we ate at the Mumbai McD's ... it was terrible so thank your driver for not stopping there lol.

Guys I imagine a home made burger is so much nicer! All that fresh herbs and spices you can put in?? Well that specific day Gerard directed me to the sandwish shop (a PE version of subway, but healthier I think) and I had the most divine sandwish with avo, cottage cheese and smoked chicken and veg. Wow...that hit the spot and some!

I used to eat potatoes AND rice every single night. Now its one starch or the other. And we make one cup of rice for 5 of us vs 3 cups of rice previously!?? WOW...how was I living?? I have half a cup of rice and my veg, protein and lotsa salad.

I am not perfect...I like a biscuit with my coffee and had 5 lemon creams on Sunday with coffee...then i read the label...those 5 lemon creams are equal to a HUGE supper! I was like...wow! So not worth it. So I know in future...I stick to my weigh less cookies that come pre packed per portion ( 2 cookies per portion) and that's it. Apparently I still have a long way to go...but its an interesting journey.
