afm doing well, kids fine and busy as always

af party - nothing big only kid orientated juming castle and sweets an ice-cream cake - pressies mmmmmmmmmm books, poppie and some cheapo' stuff - she doesnt play with toys so not much to give

vix - my sus did pirate theme and too cute - had a treasure hunt, pin the donkey (but used pirate and moustache instead), walking the plank at entrance, eyepatches for kids

ok cant think what else off to bed now did some sars for brett he gave me 24 hrs notice so was super busy up till nw

I know Simone we are terrible with spoiling the kids lol, but i know that the piano will be used alot and the buzz laptop looks so cute just the piano and laptop its already R700, the other stuff will proberly come up to another R500 or so.

Ooh Nicole that does not sound good! Hope the tranquilisers and the plan of action will alleviate some of the pain:( The big walk sounds like fuN! Cant wait for Addison to have stuff like that to do:)

Nicole you're bad with gifts! lol. We are terrible with spoiling the kids I think! But you buying the trampoline 4-5 months in advance...there was no way that was going to be his only pressie...lol. He's gonna love that piano I'm sure!

I found myself lying awake this morning thinking of this gorgeous doll house I saw...and thought...Maybe I can just get that for her....lol. I would love to buy Addison a motorised car....but maybe next year!!

I am kinda hungry now...have to go meet my broker at a coffee shop quickly! I hate it when this happens....Standard bank called me to look at my profile...of course my Discovery broker immediately found out...now I'm juggling meetings between the 2. Discovery already one up though...the guy is taking me to coffee:) Standard bank guy I have to go to...completely out of the way...after work. Makes no effort to come and see me! Eish!

Ally & Simone i also remember cleary the awesome parties my mom use to throw for me and my brother and as such i want to do the same for K, even Christmas my mom use to make it soooo special and exciting and i want to continue those traditions with K.

Christi congrats on being offered a permenant position!

Zee we are getting K a kids piano that comes with a chair, he loves music and his current one is a bit babish, then we are going to get him a buzz laptop we saw at reggies, a lightning Mcqueen car and then some books and an art set. We got him a trampoline about 2 months back which was also suppose to be a early birthday present.

afm, well went to the Doc yesterday as i had such a bad headache, so it turns out I have Chronic Tension headaches, there is no cure really, but i have to attend phsio 2x a week for a month, if this does not help i have to get xrays of my neck etc. I was in so much pain yesterday i could hardly talk/walk and ended up vomiting the whole night. I have to take tranqullisers at night for the next 3 night to try and ease up my muscle spasms in my neck and face. Still not feeling great today but i have deadline that i need to meet today.

K is doing well, just has a snotty noise at the moment and he seems to have adjusted well to the the new setup. We have his first big walk on the 17th of September and a family day which i am excited for and then that evening my mom is watchin K whilst dh and I go the the Blue Lagoon Hotel for our anniversary

Ally not for anybody else....I want my child to say one day: my mom threw the best parties!

I think in general parties are expensive...I dont think you can get away with anything less than R2000 on a kiddies party these days and thats being conservative. Despite my best efforts the last 2-3 years I have not been able to stay under that amount as I usually swear I will...lol. In a way you're lucky you manage to do 2 parties in 1 go...lol. Imagine you had to do 2 a year??

How did all the kiddies sleep? Yoza are you doing a party for Siba? I cant remember if you said you were or not.

Simone, I said to my dad that I definitely won't be doing away with parties because I remember every year the trouble my mom went through and even though I might not remember the first few I definitely remember the other ones. I was always the one everyone was jealous of because I had such nice parties. And it wasn't like it was expensive parties, just the themes etc. were always nice.

Lisha, If I didn't spend so much (I think I spent R700 JUST on the banners last year) I would've also done it all again. But I was stupid to buy all the paper (and expensive paper from a scrapbooking place) and make it myself because it turned out to be a massive job and then so expensive too. I'll probably just buy a banner this year if I do decide to do it. And then I had that lollipop lane last year that cost me about R300 to do and although it was cute, so many people didn't even walk through it! :/

Sorry for not popping in more regularly but its been hectic this side.

Can't remember if I posted on Moomie or only FB so just in case: THANK YOU for the huge surprise baby shower. And no, those who asked, I was too preoccupied to notice you each had more than one packet, but I also assumed you guys bought gifts on behalf of the out of towners so it REALLY was a HUGE surprise!!! Love you guys!!!

I do try to pop in to read in the evenings but can't remember enough to reply now, SORRY.

If you don't mind, I would like to share my awesome news however.... I was offered a permanent position at the company I am currently temping Unfortunately they don't pay for maternity leave, but they are prepared to have a stand in temp until I can start next year. They haven't made a formal offer as of yet, but the director said I must speak to my husband and give him an answer in 2 days' time then they will take it further.
Although I feel very flattered and its a big company with great opportunities, I am not sure how I feel about returning to a full time position after 3/4mnths at home with the new baby
