Simone- I must say I've never heard anyone say nannys can't speak proper English as an excuse not to use one LOL that's funny but i usually don't get into those nanny/day care debates because they don't concern me.

Nicole- you are the best! I just looooove that cake idea and it sounds so super easy and cheap!!!!!! love you, you're a star! especially the green coconut grass, classic!

At the weekend DH was using long shears to trim the tree branches so C picks up a V shaped twig/branch type thing and walks around pretending to trim the trees LOL he hardly plays with his toys, mainly just sticks, leaves and dog poop! LOL

C comes to DH when he was on the toilet and says "whats dere?" pointing down the toilet so Elwyn says "poo" so now whenever i sit on the toilet for a wee C says "poo, uhhhhh" like squeezing sounds LOL I cracked up laughing, i hope he never sees my mum go to the toilet she'll be so embarassed!

My mum's farm is booked in for auction in Sandton on 31st August so i really really hope it goes this time!!!!!

I'm so chuffed....Addy called my cousin 'aunty nata' last night. Her name is renata. she also called my ex boss 'uncle' when he got here....so hopefully she'll be calling my sister and brother (and other adults) aunt and uncle with their names from now on!

Oh and Addison loves making fun! I asked for a kiss so she refused...so she turns around and laughs and says: mama cying (crying)! Cause I'm that wanting of a kiss from her nogal! If I really cry she scrunches her face up and makes crying sounds while laughing at me! Then I have to laugh thru my tears.

And the child thinks she's a singer. Any song...she hasn't even heard before...she tries to fake her way thru it...shame she sounds like a drowning cat!lol, but its so cute. My phone rang yesterday...and ring tone is hey soul sister...and she started singing from the 'heeeeeyyyy heeeeeyyyy' intro and some words. They take in everything!

Oh Vix I love C home made games! Lol. These kids can amuse themselves with anything!

Simone and Vix, I agree with your argument. K has been at creche for a year in October but he still is shy infront of people and other children. K is at creche because at that time that was my only option.

Once stage I thought K was ready for potty training, but not anymore!

K learnt two new words last night - "tummy" and then he pokes it and "Nappy" says it soooo cute.

Vix sorry about bad night!! That sounds hectic!

We also had bad night....Addy only went to bed after 10!Then she woke up twice demanding bottle. But she slept til 8am so that was ok.

Nicole we've been using HUGGIES dry comfort....oh my word every night it leaks. I couldn't find gold when I went to game...so thought I'd try it...never again!

Re:school...what a skank! I am also only sending Addy to school after 3. Like Vix I'd rather keep her illness free. We go to school for 12yrs...why still add so many extra years? Also I'm sorry my child speaks well, can count, etc...so people must not speak Crap about development! Like C she is also a bit cautious around kids, but she does warm up. She'll have years to learn to socialisE.

I get so worked up by this debate cause some mom's like to say leaving kid with nanny is stupid cause they can't speak english properly, etc and its the most disgusting generalization! I have a wonderful nanny. She deserves most of the credit for teaching my child everyday. I witnessed this morning while she'd dressing Addy she quizzes her on body parts. She's always trying to teach her, etc.

and even if they can't count, read, write, etc....they will learn by then end of grade 1 what they're supposed to. and grade 2, 3, etc.

Addison is frustrating me... She was bare bum last night. So she tells me: mama pee pee. So I say ok, lets go to toilet. So she sits and I feel her pressing for dear life...nothing comes out though. So I give up... Then gave her some water, try again.nope nothing. She gets off toilet and proceeds to wee on carpet??? Lol. Now if she can tell me 5 minutes before she has a wee....why the Heck cant she wee on toilet?lol. Anyways....she isn't scared of toilet anymore....Everytime she tells me I'll take her to the loo, if she doesn't want to...well Gerard will just have to clean afterwards.

Morning ladies, had an okay night, K had a leak which woke him up and then he climbed into bed witH us.

Vix i saw this cute idea for a bugs theme cake...you buy/make a chocolate swiss roll, then make chocolate icing, then you take a flake and break it in half and place it on the each side of the swiss roll so it looks like broken branch fallen of a log, then you get those "bug" sweets like the snacks and spiders etc and you place that on the swiss roll. you place the swiss roll on a cake board and then take coconut and dye it with green colouring scatter it all around the swiss roll so it appears like grass. Thought it looked soooo cute

Ally omw!! Im still waiting for K to try, but will properly buy his bed next month.

Hi ladies.

Well something terrible happened last night! ABI CLIMBED OUT OF HER COT!!! lol I was so shocked. We heard her moaning and I asked C what the hell is she doing? And I sit up in bed and there she comes walking out lol. But we put 2 mattresses in her cot so it's much easier to get out. We are going to go look at beds today just to see etc. We'll put the beds in the room but keep them in their cots until they are ready. It was very stuffy in their room last night so she kept waking up, hopefully it's just a one time thing! ggrrrr

Wow Vix, 4 twin moms! Hectic. I love when so many people are having twins, then there's more people who know what I'm going through lol. Twins are very, shall we say, unique. hehehe
