Hey Girls, miss you my friends,
Thanks for all your support. I am really well, fully recovered after 48 hrs. First day felt twinges around the injection point and second day, when i used my stomach muscles I felt a bit of a strain around the injection area but then felt great.
During the procedure , which only lasted half a minute or so, I was really really not concerned about me fo the little uncomfortable pain but rather had my eyes glued to the scan where i could see the gap, the needle and the babies head! but baby didnt move, ( she had moved ALOT during the scan checks so it was great to see her keep still) and then he checked her heart rate for any distress and it stayed constant so no concerns.
The thing is, I know its a long wait, but i cant imagine the baby being downs, I cant feel negative, I am very happy that its a girl and maybe that has kept me distracted, but i just cant mentallly prepared.. which i think is a bit strange. The doc says he is very positive that all will go well, but genetics has to be tested so anything could happen.. anyway, the positive in this is that worry wont make it the result change, so i am grateful that i am not worried or depressed or fearful and really since the scan, I am relieved and over the moon that i have a little girl
so thats me..
