Morning ladies.

So, had my 37 week appointment yesterday - had to see gynea's partner. He was called out to an emergency c-sec about 20 min before my app!!
Also my last appointment - and if everything goes well, I sill only see him again at my 6 week checkup

Anyway, baba doing fine, he's in a nice position. Not engaging yet. Placenta nice and high.
Still have enough fluid around.
Oh, and he's already 3.2kg......

So, everything fine for natural birth

Packed baby's bag, but still have to do some shopping for mine, hopefully I'll finish that all this weekend.

Then just to get through these last two weeks at work...

I'm not going to do personals cos i missed a lot since last week.

BUT i have to say CONGRATS Nikki!!!! May lil Peyton just bring joy and love to you guys!! She is gorgeous!!!! Can’t wait to read your birth storey.

Sjoe I can't believe the time is here, it is our turn to have our babies we waited so long for!!

OK I had my LAST gynie appointment yesterday...jep my last one, scary!!! So next time i see him is when i go into labour... Our lil man is still very tiny, his weight is approximately 2.410kg AND I am already 37w1d. Baby still have enough amniotic fluid - dr said there is 2 pockets of ~6cm x 4cm (so enough room for him to grow). My cervix is still long and closed (4-5cm long), the placenta is about 4cm from the internal opening and baby's head is far from being engaged (but this could be due to the location of the placenta). Dr also booked me from a c/sec on 40w (16 Aug) cos i don't like the induction route if i had to carry post my due date.

guess it is a matter of time now for most of us! we are busy with our last baby room preps and the h-bag is packed...

So who is next hmmm? Any bets?
We seem to have very few c/sections here, which is 'nice' to see. Antenatal class said that at Durbanville MC 80% of births are elective c's.
Must say I'm okay with whatever, long as my little girl is okay But when gynae filled out the UIF forms, and put down 13th as c/sec date it was rather scary to know that 3 weeks from now she'll be here and we'll be home!

Judesmom sounds like you got spoilt nicely! Enjoy the last few days and then some chill time

Eileen shucks hun. Hope you get better soon, but meantime take it easy and stay away from any stress.

Charnenay thanks for popping in! Enjoy these last few days of pregnancy. Apparently we'll miss it But I agree with you. My pelvis is so sore and my feet so swollen and sore that I can hardly get up.

AFM I'm at home this work, finishing up work but so wish I was off already. I hardly have any energy and so sore! Tomorrow I have to go into town to drop off my UIF forms.
Anyone had any signs of 'show' / 'mucus plug' yet? I had a clear jelly blob this morning. But nothing since. Apparently its something we could have up to a few weeks before hand though, so not thinking too much into it.

Hopefully I'll pack my bag tomorrow - been saying this for 2 weeks. And I have a work baby shower on Wednesday. This will prob also be my last day, as I am just too tired. Will get doc to book me off the last 2 days and I can just relax a bit.

Can't believe how close we all are now!

Went to Canal Walk on Sat for a lovely 90min massage & pedi but then spent the next 5 hours (no seriously, from 11h00-16h00) shopping up a storm. My feet are still sore today! (even tho DH gave me such a nice foot rub last night )
So now I have everything for my hospital bag which I will pack tonight and all the toiletries for bubs (I eventually found some summer-weight front-opening pj's at Edgars!)
I told DH that it will be expensive so he wouldn't have a heart attack, but I don't know how long the R2000 worth of baby toiletries will last eish

Oh my gosh first baby to be born Nikki, congrats she is adorable,

My baby shower was this Saturday and it was really amazing mom and sis really went out there way, i got so much gifts that i dont need to buy anything. My office gave me a surprise shower last week and got some really nice expensive gifts, play pen, Avent breast pump with travel kit, feeding shawls, cosmo curler for me. I unpacked the stuff that i got from friends and fam and it's actually sinking in now that baby is coming anytime.

I aslo have there bad cramps in my virgina area which is really sore, but i need to take it easy. Next Thursday is my last day so im looking forward to being at home. Need to have the place spring cleaned.

Wow!!! so much happening since I've last logged on.

Nikki - CONGRATS!!!!!!! Peyton is beautiful - can't wait for the birth story. This is so exciting - our first baby for the group!! Mina Moo - I guess you are next??? I go in next Monday for my caesar and I am sooooo ready now!!! Have my last appointment with my gynae on Wednesday and next time I see her will be in theatre!!

Can't do personals really, because I have missed out on way too much this past 10 days, I will be typing forever.

Robyn - your nursery is gorgeous girl

Anyone else as uncomfortable as what I am at this point??? I am really ready for Emily to be born now, she is getting heavy in here!! I have even been telling DH that I don't think we going to do this again - sure I'll change my mind as soon as I meet my little girl though

Well ladies, keep well and look after yourselves. I don't log on to much now that I am at home, so I guess my next post will be to say that my baby girl is here.
