Hey ladies
Your belly pics all look great

I keep forgetting to bring my memory stick to work with my pics to post. And I don't really log on at night, we always seem to be doing something nowadays.
Ladies, need advice PLEASE: Does anyone else have an overbearing mother in law or is it just me? I am actually dreading the conversation I am going to have to have with DH tonight

Mother in law has 2 other grandchildren, but they live in London and she has only seen them once when they were less than 2 months old (they just turned 3years earlier this month - twins). Well, when she went to visit in London, she changed the way their mother(her daughter in law, not daughter) did everything. To the point that she insisted they sleep on their tummies and not on their backs and would go and turn them around while they were sleeping if their mother put them on their backs. She also would not let their mother do anything for them because she insisted that she needed to as she was only going to see them for 3 weeks. Poor Kim (their mother), was told to clean the house, make their bottles, cook for her husband so that there was food when he came from work, etc.etc, while she sat with the babies all the time - Kim could not even bath them, pick them up when they cried or feed them (they were bottle fed).
Well, that's that story. She is generally overbearing and I am a softie, so I sort of just suck it up most of the time. She is already jealous that my mom is going to be looking after the baby when I go back to work next year. Thank goodness MIL works or that would have been an argument as well. WEll, my latest dilemna is that she has now decided that she is going to sit outside the theatre while I give birth!!!! Her reason is that she had ceasars with all her children under a general aneasthetic and by the time she woke up, the children were already bathed and dressed, so now is finally her chance to see what a newborn baby looks like!!!! And to top it all off, she doesn't tell me this and ask me if it is ok, NO, she announces it at dinner last night infront of complete strangers (it was my sister in law's bday and her friends were there). So, she just tells everyone that she can't wait for this baby and that she is gonna sit outside the hospital room and that DH is going to bring the baby to her first because she never had a chance to see what a baby looks like immediately after birth. If she is there, I just know that she is going to completely take over and that she won't give the baby to me to hold if I ask, she is going to want to bath her, dress her, etc.
I am so mad because MAYBE if she had asked me then I would have considered it, but to just assume and already tell everyone that, that is what she is going to do really pisses me off! I don't even know if it is allowed (I am hoping not!). DH and I have already discussed this and I told him that I wanted us to bond with the baby first, and I am not sure how I am going to feel immediately afterwards so don't really want people around me, and that everyone else could come that NIGHT at visiting hours (not even the afternoon slot)! The only person we had decided was going to be there (if she could) is my sister. My sister has 2 children and they are both adopted because she cannot have children of her own and so will never get to experience childbirth. My sister and I are also VERY close, so I decided that I would ask if she could witness the birth. Now, I am thinking that, that might also be an issue because he might say if she can be there, why can't his mother. AARGH!!!!
Ladies, WHAT TO DO???? AM I being unreasonable?? The baby is not even here yet and DH and I have already had a tiny argument about how much time his family is going to be allowed to spend with the baby vs. the amount of time may family will.
