Hi Ladies

JB - don't feel bad - I was thinking the exact same thing, but the situation was very
difficult and stressed!
DH is abit better. He has contractors in but he's managing everything and doesn't
want to leave the guys alone (plus he needs to take them home in the evenings)
Plus he has a race coming up soon that he needs to train for, so he hasn't been able
to spend much time with D over the last few weeks until the end of the month!
Must admit tho, the house is looking stunning so far (if you look past the whole
'construction site' part :silly: )
I don't use any gaviscon - cannot stand the taste or texture!

Kerry, so glad K is improving!!

FG - love the old bump pic!!

Robyn - WOW! that must have been a real run around, though i must confess i am petrified of cutting k's nails. I normally have to wait till she is sleeping on my lap and then i quietly sneak it in. Hope things with DH have smoothed over?

Cols - well was supposed to test last weekend, but AF decided to do me a "favour" and come 4 days early, while in hospital with K... shocking... got pregnant on the first attemt without even knowing when i was ovulating and this time... well i guess its our 4th attempt this month!!! ARGH!!! Begining to wonder if i should have gotten the RH injection even though K was RH-...

Girly - They cant give antibiotics for K's condition... they only give cortizone (a steroid) to speed up the recovery and artificial tears eye-drops for the eye that can't close. Sadly its just a game of wait and see. Went back to the doc on friday and he says she looks the same, but since he knows she got worse after he saw her he has decided its improvement enough to rule out tumours or anything more sinister so he just wante to see her again in about two weeks time. She is looking much much better and is even starting to get feeling back, she keeps asking everyone to "tickle" her face... so the creche teacher and i assume its pins and needles. Also she can now mostly close her eye (only when sleeping though), so that too is improvement in itself.

I hear you about the busy i am just thankful K is people oriented... shame she even offered her dummy to a boy in the emergency room who was crying because he had sprained his ankle... great thinking... but the boy was six and not too interested in a dummy or a linus blanket... so dh pretended to give it to him and put it in his pocket.

Glad to hear you and baby are doing fine :-)!

As for me, well DH and i got taken out with this horrible horrible super flu going around... high fever that you just cant seem to break, eventually went to the doc on monday and got put on super strength antibiotics... bye bye appetite... but feeling better now and it seems the fever is gone, though my colleagues still wanted to send me home this morning seeing as i sound terrible, am coughing like a dog and apparently am whiter than a sheet... LOL. worst of all is along with the flu i got an ear infection, but i was so sure that i was just imagining k's symptoms that i just ignored that too... the doc after looking in my ear asked "so why didn't you say your ear was sore" he he he

anyways ladies, have a great rest of the week! :-)

Robyn now I feel bad about my comments :( But I really was worried about how it seemed you were being treated.
Stress is an awful thing, money and stress can break a marriage really!
Sounds like he is working extremely hard and doing a lot of the work himself? Does he not have anyone helping him? That's a whole load to take on yourself!

So cute re D getting so excited to see you! Sweet man!
K is giving the most awesome hugs lately, and even pats me on the back after a hug :)

What gaviscon are you using? I cant stand the chewable stuff, so buy the tablets and break it in pieces and swallow it like a normal pill. That way there is no taste and within 30 mins it's better.
If its unbearable you can ask your gynae for a script. Cant remember what its called now but apparently very useful! I got the script towards the end (maybe around 32 or 34 weeks) and then my heartburn subsided so I never filled it!

Flowergirl you need another holiday by the sounds of it! Cant believe you have so much going on right now! Do u have a lot to organise for Em's party?
The weight loss will be well worth it if ur feeling really good about yourself when you conceive. You'll be super proud to show off your bump and will be glowing from ear to ear! And with the motivation hopefully you wont gain any more than baby and baby related during pregnancy and you will loose it all before you leave the hospital again! Go girl !!!
PS 3kg a month x 5 months = 15kgs can be a huge difference to anyone! (Even though I still think u look fab :D)

AFM I'm too scared to get onto gynae's scale cos ours are so different. But looks like I've gained about 4kgs and all in the last month! Yikes! I really want to keep the weight gain under 10kg's but have to be more diligent. I havent been binging or anything but obviously eating too much bread and fries. Bought salad ingredients so going to make a tuna salad for lunch, and hope it fills me till supper. I have banana's, yogurt and oranges to snack on, oh and carrot sticks. I must be disciplined!!!

Quickly had my hair cut now, a place close to us has a special for R80 on a tuesday for a cut. Just got my hair thinned out as havent cut it since Dec and it was really thick and irritating! Feel so much better now!

K isnt feeling well but I dont know what it is. Her phlegm seems better then worse but still no fevers. She started stirring at midnight every 20 minutes or so. Eventually gave her nose spray at 2:30am (had still not slept myself by then) and she fell asleep and stayed asleep shortly after that till 7am but rubbing her eyes and was quite needy this morning. Spent the morning with her till 10am, but grandpa was also here so it didnt exactly help. We went to the shops before I dropped her at daymom and she had such a fun time shopping with me and talking to the people so I think I'll take her with more often from now on (weather depending!).
I forgot to mention yesterday about her nightmare on Sunday night. She was moaning in her sleep as if she was fighting with another toddler, saying 'myne car' ie MY CAR. Shame what a tough age!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

DH is normally an absolutely wonderful man but I think the stress is really
getting to him. Shame, he only got home at 02h00 this morning from helping with
the tiling! So I woke up early and took D to MIL's so he could sleep in abit
(and this will continue pretty much the rest of the week to get the floors ready for
the new kitchen cupboards and the floor sanding etc  )
He also said he'll paint the inside walls & roof this week too!
All I can say is Thank Goodness we are not living there through this!!

I'm also having quote bad heartburn but absolutely hate Gaviscon, so struggling!

Love picking up D from MIL lately as she absolutely beams when she sees me and
does a little jig and runs to me calling Mommy, Mommy!!! ( )
