We had a better night last night. So let's see. Em is sick though. Has a runny tummy since yesterday afternoon. I am hoping it was just a quick bug though because she seems fine now. She never ate anything yesterday, but she is eating today.

I stayed home to see how em does today, but so far, she seems fine. So we just laying on bed for now and reading. Probably gonna bake some bread and make a pot of soup later (if I have the energy to get dressed and go to the shop!!)

FG so sorry to hear the sleep is still going hectic.
Have there been any sudden changes to Em's routine or any reason out of the ordinary that would cause her to change her sleeping habits?
It definitely seems at least in part to be related to development.
Hopefully she will come right soon!

Hope you got some time to rest while at home. Not exactly easy with a busy toddler around.

Sounds like you had an awesome mini holiday with Evan! Knysna is stunning. The whole garden route is! I could do with a nice coastal holiday again!

Re the whole bonding thing with #2, to be honest it's not the same as #1. I think in part its cos its not a new experience and you kind of know what to expect, so you dont do all the reading and research and dreaming you used to do.
That's also why I want to make a point of having a baby shower for this one and buy her some special clothes that are hers and not just hand me down.
I am worried about what happens to the attention Kaylee currently gets when baby arrives, as baby will demand a fair amount at a stage where she will not necessarily be ready to share mommy and daddy. So its a catch 22 really.
But we will just take it one step at a time, and I expect little one will get babysat more often than Kaylee was so that we can take Kaylee out alone for outings.
I will probably contact an acquaintance who is also a play therapist for some advice about this.

I posted a question about changing daycares etc once baby arrives.

So sleep is still hectic over here. I can't really tell if its gettong better or if we are just getting used to it!! Madam still screaming for me at night and only settles when I lay down next to her and even then it takes at least 30 mins to get her back to sleep!!
I am at my wits end and feeling really sorry for myself!!!

I am feeling a bit under the weather today, so stayed home. Trying to convince em to nsap with me, but she is running around and keeps bringing more toys out.

The diet is going ok, but its only the first week. So we'll see......

We have to go to the new house this afternoon to meet the kitchen people and the painters. I am excited to see it again!!!! First time I will be there since itsd officially ours!!!! Last time I was there we hadn't applied for the bond yet.

It was my birthday yesterday so MIL offerred to keep D for the night and we went out
for dinner with my family and then DH &I went to watch MIB3 and then we are going out
for supper with DH's family on Fri
It was so sweet, D said Happy Birthday to me yesterday morning and I recorded it on my

McK is so busy - playing a soccer match in my tummy constantly
OMW!! Last night when we got home, we tried to 'celebrate' in another way ( )
but as we got started, McK went from the middle of my tummy to the top right side
so quickly and so hectically it was actually sore and quite uncomforable - looked very
odd with a huge bump on the side of my tummy
I felt abit embarrassed as I couldn't carry on - DH was very sweet about it but it took
another 30mins before she went back to normal position
She obviously did not like what was happening to mommy...

WOW girls - so sorry for being MIA, we are moving building at work and just haven't had a chance to get on. Luckily everything is finally ack in working order!

Cols - sorry to hear about the grommets, but at least he is much better with them. as for the meet, i don't know, june is a fairly hectic month for us, its my dads birthday last weekend fathers day DH's dads birthday and fathers day next weekend with DH working this comming weekend... so maybe early next month?

Janine - glad to hear Willem is sleeping better, his bedroom looks really good i guess even i would sleep better! His dinosaurs protect him!

Flowergirl - so very very glad to hear that you had a good holiday! Even with its little hiccup! Really stunning photo! your little one is absolutely gorgeous! I hope she goes back to sleeping well for you soon I hope you diet works! But i guess baby number two is a brilliant incentive huh?

Girly - next testing date would be early next week but i think we botched this round completely... had such an awful weekend on ovulation weekend that we sorta missed o day... ah well!

Robyn - the only thing we seem to have time to watch is garfield in the afternoons on boomerang... K seems to love that while i quickly get supper on... but we always seem to catch it in the last few minutes! Then she climbs off the couch and joins me in the kitchen as soon as it finishes and dexters lab comes on. (i guess she doesn't like that one)

ah well i better get back, glad to see you kadies are still popping

Jeanine, I am glad to hear Willem is more settled. Have you tried giving him an iron supplement? It worked the bomb for Evan... You're lucky he's still wearing his little clothes! Evan's favourite is mine! I love your decor It's looking lovely.

Flowergirl, wow your holiday sounds INCREDIBLE!! How is Em? Are you getting more sleep? Evan is also fighting me a bit on sleep. Now he gets up to get more and more teddies! Hows your nephew?? I hate packing! Good luck! What a beautiful pick! She's gorgeous! Good luck for the diet! I should too. I lost more weight than my pre-pregnancy weight and now I am back up to pre-pregnancy weight. I need to lose 6kg. I literally picked them up in 2 months. Once my PCOS came back now om just not motivated to lose it.



JB, Evan is obsessed with drawing! He steals pens to draw! Ya its a long journey. Off to the gynae @ the end of june. I think my issues are back. Lets see... It's so exciting for you guys! It's the best beginning to really feel pregnant and not just fat! I missed feeling Evan wriggling around.. I have to ask - do you girls feel as bonded to baba # 2 as # 1? It worries me a bit because SIL and MIL really dont seem to be as in love with my nephew as they are with my niece. He kind of seems a bit left behind... I really dont want that for me with a #2... Is it just cos you've been through it already or do you feel as much joy and love seeing your baba grow and feeling her wriggle around? Shawn the sheep is very cute. Evan's absolute favourite is telly tubbies! and the animal planet. Chappa is OBSESSED with animals! He even mimics the sounds of so many sounds so he goes Owl, oooo oooo. He was obsessed with the 3 owl statues @ the b&b we stayed @ now. We took him to Addo Elephant park yesterday before flying home. I have a pic of Evan trying to climb out the car to get to the elephants!

Robyn, it's awesome that they're getting more sleep! Your weight gain's really good.

JHB moms - when are we going to meet?

We went to PE from Thursday till yesterday - DH is there till friday for his study visit. We saw so much, even got as far as knysna! We had a lovely time and I really enjoyed it I flew back last night with Evan alone. It's a bit of a handful but I survived He wanted to feed himself dinner on the plane, on my lap which was disastorous but for the rest he was well behaved. He throws HECTIC tantrums. DH got the taste for one and said OH NO they're starting. I said, they started a long time ago. I get them in the shops when he wants everything he sees! I say no, and explain why. Obviously he doesnt understand / care and throws his wobblies but I try sticking to my guns!

Evan seems much happier again since the grommets. He is saying so many words and making so many sounds. He seems to understand everything! He picks up things you didnt even realise he heard / saw. He is freaking obsessed with those mechanical rides. When we walk past one it's WW16 if we dont put him on it, then getting him off is a whole other issue! His 11th tooth is finally pushing through! His gums have been so swollen and red for freaking months already!! I just want them all out! Evan will force himself to stay awake if he's lying with us in bed. I will move him to his bed and a minute later he'll be out.

I should also loose some weight. My bathroom scale is broken - and I'm sure that I gained the 4 I lost earlier again . And good luck with the TTC

Seems Willem is also going through a rough patch with sleep. in the last week he has been waking up at 2-4am - not crying, just WIDE awake, and wanting to play
Then last night - for the first time in a VERY long time, he just would not go to sleep, he was crying the whole time - I had to lie down next to him in the end. I have no idea when he actually fell asleep, but I woke up at 21:30 - and he was sleeping next to me .
Then he woke up twice during the night, both times crying. DH ended up sleeping next to him (after some panado) around 2am

We finally got Willem his bedding - I couldn't find what I really wanted (lime green with cartoonish cars/bugs/animals or something on) so DH got his first choice...


He got new curtains, 2 duvet sets (the second one is lime with airport/planes on it), and blue and lime sheets.
