Kerry I admire you for getting up so early and being at work so early! I am NOT a morning person would never be able to do that! But I'm sure you enjoy your evenings a lot must be a lot less rushed. Dont think I could go to bed by 9pm every night though.

FG you have the most awesome job! Always been jealous of your hours. And only starting at 9 you miss a lot of the traffic going in.
Hmmm I'm sure your relationship will be even better cos you know how she works and what she expects too. Does it come with an increase?

Kerry when will you test? Have you bought tests or will u wait for AF to be late?
Cant wait to hear your good news!

The nappycakes have actually been around a long time in Cpt.
The problem at the moment is that because of our expenses I need a fixed income so that we can actually safely move out here and rent a place knowing we can pay for it. So I do apply for short term temp positions (going for interview at BAT Wed morning) and mostly permanent positions that pay R10K+ per month which is fairly 'normal' in an established company in the industry. Some pay a lot more but few and far between. The one I narrowly missed out on in Feb was one of those, offering R14-17K it wouldve been awesome. But cos their busy season is Oct - Dec I had to tell them I had just found out I was pg and would have to be on ML over that time they then changed their job spec and started the process all over again :(

LOL Kerrry. I leave home at 8:15....... I work from 9-4. So I am usually home by 4:30.

@ JB - I still work in the same team, so ultimately report to the same manager, but working as someone's PA, you just have a different relationship, so its more that change that I am geoing to have to get used to. We are BOTH struggling with that

The girl who will be taking over from me, already works here and I have been training her since I started my studies, so will see how that goes. As for the working hours, pretty much stays the same, unless there are meetings which I have to attend, then I just need to adjust my hours for those particular days.

I know this probably isn't up your alley but have you thought of maybe making nappycakes for your local home industry?

they seem to be the new in thing at all of ours and i made one a while ago its really easy as pie... they seem to sell for quite hefty prices so it could be worth a try to bring in some extra money.

there are many tutorials on the net for it too... :-)

Congrats FG - shew wish i could leave home at 7... i leave home at 5:50... my work hours start at 7 so i can leave here at 15:30... DH and i travel together so unfortunately K's routine is to sleep from 7pm(ish) to 6am... which truly sucks over the weekends. We sleep from 9 - 5.... :-) get dressed and ready and drop K at my parents in her Jamies on our way.

I love the climbing... K was climbing onto her single bed with the step ladder she is borrowing, then from there across onto her chest of drawers (over about a 15cm gap) and then would play with the light switch... he he so i moved the chest of drawers to the other side of the room... so she dragged the damn ladder across the room... pushed it up against her bookshelf and helped herself to the bag of wet-wipes and tube of bum cream i thought i had found a safe place for... hehe... now i have to actually hide or lock the darn stuff away... if i don't she likes to pretend change her teddy's nappy... with real wipes - nappies and bum cream.... ROFL

Joybaby - I am sure it will all turn out just fine... :-) I wish there was something i could do to help you... i am sure GOD will provide, you are in my prayers! Stay strong.

Aaaah congratulations FG!!! :D :D :D
I knew you could do it! (I wont add how super jealous I am cos project admin is a dream job for me too) but I am seriously super happy for you!
Tell us more! Will u be working for the same boss? And will your hours be affected? Hopefully it comes with a nice increase in time for paying your bigger bond amount!

Emily has always loved her sleep hey! I'd love if K slept till 7am! We went through a stage about 2 weeks ago where she only woke at 8am one weekend morning! And before that she'd wake up at 7:20 but lately she seems to think 6am is a good time!

Sounds like we have a buyer for our car. But they came with all sorts of silly requirements like replacing the material around the gearbox and a bunch of other stuff. Now they want us to replace the one back headrest which will cost R1700 to do! But all thats wrong is the clip that holds the plastic to the material is broken so we are telling them we'll super glue it on! No ways we'll spend that kind of money on something that really isnt broken and definitely doesnt need replacing!
But now I must find out how it all works, cos they must pay the money before we can settle it with the financer and get the certificate of ownership to transfer to the new owner.
Its a bit sad to let our lovely family vehicle go but we just cant afford it. It will be truely ironic if I get that job next week and the car is gone though!

Tough times Kerry - so today is your turn to feel like a zombie :(

Well, last night Emily ran straight to my moms room when she realised that it was bedtime!!! so, I just left her there and went downstairs. I went back to check on her at about 7.45pm and she was fast asleep in my moms arms. Apparently told my mother to get into bed  So, we left her there for the night - wooohoo!!! I really don't like doing it because I don't want to teach bad habits, but hell, last night the idea of a full nights sleep outweighed the concern of introducing bad habits!! My mom said she woke up once, but as soon as she saw where she was, she just snuggled closer and went straight back to sleep. She came to climb in next to me just before 7 this morning (yes, i am still in bed at 7AM ) :) Have I mentioned how great it is to have my mom there!! :P

Yes, kerry - thats the bike - thanks!!

JB - I got my results yesterday. It was excellent :woohoo: Came out as "highly recommended". So, I start my new job on Monday :) excited and nervous and honestly feel like a bird leaving the nest when I think of leaving my boss!!!

JB - not much I can say, except thinking of you ALL the time and praying you get a break. I am here if you need to chat.

As for mothers day - DH is leaving for DBN on Sunday morning!1 When he booked his flight, we had completely forgotten that it is mothers day! So, I will be spending the day with my mom and my sister and brothers. We will most likely just have lunch at my sisters place.

My mother just called me now to say that she left Emily in her room and went downstairs to get something, when she got back to the room Emily was sitting on top of her compactum!!! She had climbed onto the rocking chair and then climbed up onto the compactum!!! When my mom got there, she was eating vaseline  Apparently, she was very proud of herself....................

Wow FG and Kerry I am feeling your pain seriously!
Its such a hard age for them to act up cos they are smart enough to refuse bottles and dummies and comfort but cant exactly tell us yet what's wrong :(
We've had a few nights of that with Kaylee the last week and so when she slept through last night without a sound I felt totally spoilt when she woke up at 6am this morning. Only problem is these days she doesnt fall asleep before 9pm and is waking up promptly at 6am. Considering I get into bed somewhere around 10pm that doesnt leave much husband and wife time at the moment :(

FG did you get any feedback on your assessment yet? I cant wait to hear the good news :D :D :D

AFM not much to report really.
Having a super emotional day yesterday. I think combined with circumstances and hormones its a bit hard to stay positive right now. Things are really just too much for me to deal with at the moment.
I have an interview (follow on from Tuesday's one) next Tuesday morning before my scan, so really hoping I get all round good news on Tuesday!

Hope everyone's going to get spoilt for mothers day! I have no clue yet what we're doing. The family hasnt been very forthcoming in arranging anything.
