August-September 2010 Moms

Hey all,

Been to doc. Test results came back, and he foresees trouble. Pre-eclampsia....been put on strict bedrest, and no work anymore. Hence I am officially on maternity leave as from today.

I have to keep an eye on the cramps and if it gets to 6 mins apart...off to hospital. If I do go into labour, he will not stop it, and Izibella will be taken out.

I have to see him again on Tues and Thurs.

He has confirmed the 20th as my c-sec date, but is not convinced I'll walk till then.

I also had to make another turn at the Vampires for some more bloodtests.

Sorry, have been quiet this week - really hectic at work since my temp started so don't have time to check the forum (left work 18h30 almost every night this week!) arrggghh

Anyway, had a wonderful shower on Sat - got loads of pressies for bubs and had lots of fun (each guest had to put a baby photo of themselves on their gift and I had to guess who it was from and if I got it wrong, I had to drink/eat from a bowl of Fiesta Orange juice with a Lunch bar floating in it!!! yeuck!
Needless to say I only got 3 wrong!

But all is going well - finish off next Fri!
And no BH that I know of yet

Girly, I envy you. It's my mom's birthday on the 13th! Glad everything is coming along nicely.

I had a night out of hell. Been having period pain like cramps every 10 minutes all night long. I am seeing my gynae at 11. I so scared to go to him, cause if he laughs it off again as last stages, I'm gonna punch him in the face!

Looks like i really belong here, went for what seems to be my last scan yesterday, Everythings good... 36ish weeks and baby was 2.7kg... the placenta is starting to die so it's close now! The doc doc said if i havent gone into labour by the 25th i must go back and see her, otherwise she will see me in the delivery room.... thats a scary thought!

The baby room looks amazing, we finally got the cupboard doors over the weekend and my dad and hubby woket the night away putting them on. On sunday i packed the blankets and nappies and etc into the cupboard and last night i put all the newborn clothes in the wash machine for a kwik wash and rinse cycle with some baby sta-soft... so it seems i am on top of it

Oh.... last thing... (it was an eventful day yesterday) my puppy has nappy rash! I took her to my parents who babysit her during the day for us and she was fine, but about an hour after i dropped her off she started screeching and rubbing her bum and... to the point that my parents took her to their vet. The vet examined her and then decided to sedate her and shave her lil bum to see if there was anything more seroius. There wasn't just a little rash under her bum. HE HE... the vet took one look at me when i fetched her and said i was due some practice anyhow... lol

So now i have to put cream on her bum twice a day... poor poor lil pup

So an update on my scan today.
Kaylee's growth hasnt slowed any so doc is happy to have c/sec on 13th Aug. She is definitely still breech. Amniotic fluid starting to be a bit little which doc says is just another indication we shouldnt leave the c/sec any later (He knows I really didnt want a c/sec as early as 38w), we'll be 38.3w next Friday but all looks good.
She is still fairly small at 2.75kgs now, expected around 2.9 at birth. Doc says best thing I can do for her growth now is lots of bed rest.
According to gynae scale I havent picked up any more weight but our electronic scale tells me I picked up a good 2kgs the last 2 weeks? Think I must check out our batteries...
Doc also checked the umbilical cord and all good there so we have one more scan on 11th and then c/sec at 1:30 on 13th.

Pedi scheduled tomorrow, and visiting a friend in the afternoon. Otherwise will have to find activities I can do on my back but its a little boring.

Hope every1 else is doing well. Think we need some pics of the new arrivals
