Skylerv - I'm totally with you. Us woman are empowered to actually have choices and make this decision. Whatever we choose is our choice and no one else's business. And we should stick by each other!

At one stage, I was so irked off by some of the ladies on PF (not our group) basically judging people for having ceasareans and claiming to have had a lesser experiences etc etc that I was going to cancel my subscription. But then I just tried to read past them, but they're flippen everywhere!!! Even followed us here!!!

I'm not pro-either, I'm pro-make-your-own-decision.

This reminds me of one of my most favourite quotes - opionions are like arseholes, everybody's got one...

Eloise, I would make her remove it. It is your baby shower and she needs to respect that. It is about you and DH and the friends that share in your joy. Not all her friends looking for something to do on a Saturday.

yes i agree that is why we just dont bring it up with people or try and change the subject if they bring it up its so not worth it but i just cant understand why woman just cant support each other no matter what we do!!!

Hi Ladies, so glad to see everyone is feeling better today!
So should I be worried? - My young sister, who is the organizer of my babyshower, has posted of FB that date of my shower - an open invite! Thats a bit brash!
Initially she thought I'd be prudish and not permit a braai/party type vibe. But I told her it was okay - cos we are known for our hospitality. But now Im so unsure!

Sky - Really, to each his own, there is nothing wrong with either way of giving birth and people should be supportive of anothers choice. If I believed csec was better for me Id go that way. But I believe in natural. And I dont condemn the next person for their choices! It makes me mad to hear about these small minded, single opinion &^%$ people.
Please ignore them!

Eve - forget the men. Friendship is friendship, but maybe you can give a bit of time to think on that

Sky - I get where you coming from. Even I who has to have a c-section due to complications get bombarded by questions. But can't your Gynae do this or that. Like I care, I just want a healthy baby and still be able to take care of him afterwards. I refuse to answer these days.

Thanks Skyler - I really appreciate your reply. I'm trying to get that across to her, that our friendship is more important than our husbands being stubborn - hopefully we can sort it out and just leave them out of it.

As for the natural/c-section thing - this is will never go away because being women, we always think that we are right :) Everyone has their own opinion on what you should do because that is the way that they did it. If anyone gives me grief I just say "I'm glad your experience went well for you and good on you, but this is my choice!"
