Hi Lucy -

I forgot to take my forms with me on Monday to the doctor. I have them here today and was going to phone and get the doctors fax number but it has been hectic. I am going to do it now. And then submit to Discovery. Wish me luck but with all my problems they can't really refuse me.

Thanks for the info about the pins and needles. I've got the restless legs as well. In the evening in front of the tv hubby likes to lean against me with his head on my tummy, but after a while I have to ask him to please get up as I can't keep my legs still anymore and it is aching. I am taking calcium tablets in the evening and it seems to help

Apart from your growing bump, pregnancy does very strange things to your body. You might notice your hair becomes more fullsome (and then proceeds to drop out more quickly soon after the birth!), you get a snuffly nose about half way through your term, and you may well get tingling in your fingers and toes, or a pins and needles sensation.

Doctors do not believe this is a sign of anything worrying (unless you get regular dizziness or other unexplained symptoms too), but do recognise it happens to quite a few women. It is not a sign that your circulation has been cut off, so don't worry that your baby has been harmed in any way by it.

As there is no specific found cause for the sensation, there is also no specific cure. However, it can help if you get up and move around or change position if you are laying or sitting.

There is a more bothersome problem called restless legs syndrome which can affect women in pregnancy. For more on that, click on the article below.

Ok called my gynea's office and spoke to his nurse.

It is normal at this stage. nothing to worry about. It could only be a problem if it continues after baby is born :cheer:

Look the only way you know if you will get approved is to send in the application. I know Jelly knows the codes - so pm her.

As soon as I get more clarification I will let everyone know as well...

As for pins and needles - yes so do I ... very easily... will google and see what that means?

Ronel - funny that you should ask that - I was thinking the same thing. I normally go to bed around 11, then wake up at 2 or 3 and then again at 5 or 6. Sometimes it stretches straight to 5 or 6am. Wonder if Connor is training me already?
