Jane,congratulations on Caitlin!!! So glad that both of you are ok and healthy!!

The Juncle Juice rescipe I have is for breastfeeding and for energy:

2 litres of water
1 litre of grape juice
60 ml of Black thorn berry elixcer
1 cal c vita
20 drops of rescue remedy
1 packet black currant rehidrant

Mix all together keep in refrigarator and drink in 24 hours when your milk supply is low.

Jane congratulations - I love Caitlin. I just know she's going to live up to the loveliness of her name. You sound like everything is perfect and am so happy that all went well. You've also eased my mind about breastfeeding - well done to both of you for making the transition so seemlessly!

Ja, I'm also curious about the jungle juice - please post the recipe again and tell us when you started drinking it etc.

The hen party went really well last night. Fortunately for me, they decided to go out at 10.30 after doing some cleaning up, so I could go straight to bed. She got the nicest lingerie, ag shame she had such a good time.

Anyway, having lunch at mom's house today - nice!

Quick question: So should I take Jungle Juice before I even go into hospital? As in TOMORROW as havent yet? Then make some for hospital?

Oh I am so glad that my team won... again! and that my babies allowed me to watch the rugby with my family!

Realised today that Zak and Nikki weigh just under 5kg together. Walked past someone today and heard an audible 'wow'! Looked at my side profile in the mirror a while after that and I realised that the 'wow' was meant towards me! Just the other day I looked like a normal 8 month pregnant lady. But my babies are now just getting chubby.

Hi Ladies,

New mommy Jane here Caitlin Rachel made her grand apprearance in this world at 12.22pm on Thursday, 27th May. She weighed in at 2.6kgs as per sonar - and with a MOP of black hair (mainly at the back and kindo bald on top) hehe

Will write my birth stroy once we are home and settled. She slept like and angel for the first day and a half with small strong suckling sessions. That was until visiting hour this afternoon when she decided she was HUNGRY like a wolf and fed for nearly and hour and then proceeded to burp / cry for the next She has now settled and is lying next to me.

Lucy - my butt is blue from all the injections. THe first one was the worse (was given to calm nerves at Dr's request and I was glad I had it in afterwards) Burnt like HELL when the needle came out. Otherwise, spinal went very well, just had uncontrolable shakes in my arms. Kindo freaked DH out a bit, but all was ok. Theater kindof a blur, but once back in my room they brought her to me immediately and a sister came in to show me how to nurse. Doing great now and she feeds like a (semi)pro now. Have been drinking jungle juice (2l per day since Monday) and I have LOADS of colostrum!!!

All in all not a bad experience, though I didn't want c-sec. Take all the pain meds you are offered. Hurts like hell after lying down all night, but I am trying to streach time inbetween the meds now. HAd a drain in wound too and since that has been taken out I feel great! Caitlin has lost 300g but has made 4 poop nappies since midnight, so Dr is happy with her progress. Will confirm tomorrow morning if we can go home

Good luck for monday Lucy! You will be fine. Take some Rescue remedy for you hubby and give it to him every two hours before theater. My DH was a bit freaked when he saw me shaking so much...but it was involuntary reaction due to spinal. See you on the other side

I think my little boy has dropped! Have awful pain on pubic bone, really bad at night when i need to turn over, what an effort!

I finished exams this week and finally started cleaning and setting up Mateo's section.
Nelria- i thought its normal for the cord to be around the neck? Xen is at a good weight.
Eve- the pics are gorgeous!
Lucy- u so calm! My nerves have set in weeks ago. I know everything will go well on Monday.
