Hello ladies...

Well... still no crawling on this front.. we try to put her on her tummy and lift her bum to show her what to do - but she is so busy rolling over to care what we are trying to show her... lol! She is very happy to "walk" though when we hold her by her arms with feet on the ground...

We also still have no teeth.. we were convinced Thurs night that a tooth would be peeking out the next morning because madam was miserable and battling to go down which is unusual.. but alas... no! So we just wait....

As far as food goes...we've introduced smooth yoghurt this week.. she isn't mad about it - but eats it. Veggies are still proving to be a tough one... think i have a difficult eater on my hands!!!!

Anyhoo - that is my update for now... hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Ladies
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Bundle - how is little Luke doing? What is your schedule with feeding him? Do you give him water with each feed? As scribbling mentioned Banana's can cause serious constipation unless you make sure they are seriously over ripe - brown skin. I haven't had an issue with carrots, but I guess I haven't had any constipation issue with either kid so maybe I'm just lucky. Perhaps if you are giving cereal more than once a day try and get more veg/ fruit in rather? ScribblingAl gave some good suggestions.

Don't have you on facebook Adri! Is Kara army crawling or hands and knees crawling? Very impressive! Amazing how babes do things at such different pace :-). The sleep issue may be due to her mastering crawling - often when they master a new milestone their sleep goes for a loop. The next teeth usually start about a month after the first (give or take) so it could be that too. Hope sleep gets better soon, shame man!

Hey Pinky! Glad the eating is going so well! Day sleep also sucks in our house. This morning Lia was awake just after 6 - and only went down for a 30min nap at 11h30... then a few hours later a 45 minute nap. Grr. She is passed out at 7h10 tonight though which is early. Does she sleep through - Lia doesn't hehe but at least she doesn't wake up every hour like my son did at this age when teething *cringe*.

Scribbling, we tried lentils the day before yesterday - she really enjoyed them! BUT, they gave her a bit of a tummy ache lol. I cooked them extra long, drained after 10 min's all the suggestions to make them more digestible, except I didn't add ginger, which is good for digestion. I must admit that though I love lentils they can sometimes give me gas cramps too (TMI, haha, sorry ladies).
That seriously sucks about your core muscles. Have you been given a bunch of core exercises to do? Did you do the exercises the physio recommended after the birth? My sister's csection cut was sore for more than a year - she says she still occassionally gets pain there.. wtf, that's 14 years ago. Mine is fine - but ached for about 6 months - was just tender though - nothing hectic.

Des, how is little Connor doing?

Lia has been clapping her hands on and off the whole day. It is too stinkin cute. Even when I tried to rock her to sleep she clapped her hands haha... and this evening twice whilst feeding her. She gets so excited and claps them a few times then misses one, then keeps clapping. I don't remember my son clapping hands at this age but then again he was already pulling himself up on things at this age. Seriously amazing how different both kiddies are - from things they like to eat, to physical strengths and temperment.

Hope you all have a grear weekend!

Scribbling - my scar is quite sensitive, but not so bad... maybe you must ask your gynae...

All the mommies who had caesars, how are your scars/bodies doing? My scar is still very tender. My wrist has been really sore, and so's my back, so I went to the physio yesterday. She says my core muscles are screwed and so my back and wrists have been compensating when I do my daily 8kg weightlifting exercises. Has any one else been having hassles?

Scribbling - the lentils are very nice... the recipe in the book is AWESOME... I would make it into a soup for us in the winter...

I also decided now to just relax about the sleeping, luckily she sleeps at night... that is the most important!

Pinky, you're going to have to take a video of Karla refusing to eat liver! Maybe you have a little vegetarian on your hands :) Don't worry too much about the iron if you're giving her formula as it has iron in it. Or else I've heard an iron supplement for babies advertised on radio. It has the woman from BabySense punting it. Have you tried lentils yet? I'm interested to know how that goes. Emily's still on the veggies. We've only just started introducing fruit, and last night she had gem squash, and quite liked it, although initially there was a bit of face-pulling. Think it's the different texture though. Emily's still rolling over everytime she goes on her tummy. Naughty! She thinks it's hilarious thwarting mom's attempts. Pinky, I used to get myself so worked up when Emily wouldn't sleep during the day. Which just made the situation worse. So I'm just chilling now. If she doesn't sleep, so be it. As long as she sleeps at night I'm happy.

Adri I just viewed your video. I can't believe Kara's so mobile! What a little champion.
