Newbie- if you don't mind me asking, why only 1 child?

Having a sad day today: I manage the accounting department and one of my staff members passed away last night. She has not been well for nearly a year. In and out of hospital but last week landed in ICU.

I am ok, just feeling a bit sore, dont think I am getting sick, just sore fm not being able to sleep too well.. cant explain it..

Jo_C - thanks and she is expensive. I am paying R1600 for both the maternity and newborn shoot and I only get 30 pics, 15 in colour and 15 in black and white and about 6 with a pop of colour in the black and white. I get each of these with each shoot.. no prints or enlargements, all just on a CD.. oh well, she is good and our LG is going to be our only child so we are making the most of it.

Anyhow working hard today and really not up for it.. oh well..

My photoshoot is booked for Sunday 16th May. We are paying R1650 and this is for a maternity shoot and new born shoot. We get 50 jumbo photographs across both shoots, 4xA5 enlargements and 2x A5 enlargements.

I have asked for 15 of the pictures to be of the maternity shoot (3 of with my daughter, 3 with DH, 3 of us all and the rest alone), then the other 35 pictures will be for the new born shoot.

Photoshoot - wish I had done one with my first pregnancy. Did one at home with a friend that was preggy at the same time and our hubbies took some photos of us in the garden, but nothing professional. Will chat to hubby about doing something after baby is born with the family. Newbie - your photographer's site looks amazing. The pictures are awesome, I dread to find out the price, so haven't made contact yet.

Worrying about baba - I think its completely normal. I was paranoid with my frist pregnancy and apparently that is the first sign of a possible post partum depression, so maybe discuss your concerns with your gynie to get guidance and aliviate some of your concerns. I am trying to be more relaxed this time round, but do still have times of concern and then just try to remember that its out of my hands....

Jo_C- look at www.strawberrymoose.co.za , they have a lovely decor range for babies rooms. We decided on the Bug theme and got our bedding from Treehouse (www.treehouse.co.za) but the accessories we got from Strawberry Moose.
I did Winnie the Poo with Shiloe and didn't want to do Disney again.

Juandre_N - i know what you mean, I am in the same boat with regards to the photos.. fels like i am throwing money away, but its something u will treasure forever. Still working hard on the room, will be totally finished in the next two weeks.. will keep u updated. 3 weeks is more than enough time still

ladies as for worry about things, i go through it every now and then, and then just make peace, what will be will be.. No point worrying about something that will never happen..

Hope you are all well.

Got out of bed with difficulty this morning. Told hubby that I think maternity leave should be compulsary from last trimester for all women! Feeling stiff and achy. Maybe cos hubby took me for a 2 hour walk up constantia hiking trail yesterday and we are not hikers, and I am not fit by any stretch of the imagination, but a few of his friends decided that getting the family out and about would be fun.... so off we went. Not too bad in the end, but my hips and pubic bone have really felt it this morning.

Newbie - How was your photo shoot the week end?

Ash - can't wait to see some photos from your shoot too. How long till you get them?

Newbie - the room is looking so lovely, love the colours! I am battling so to find what I am looking for. I went out and about on Saturday, but didn't find anything that I liked. Everything is Disney and although its lovely, its not what I want. I just don't know. I guess I will have to make give into something in the next four weeks, cos for now this poor child has NOTHING!!

Mjabu - glad you have found us! How are you feeling?

Little one is kicking up a storm these days, glad to be seeing the gynie on Wednesday, feels like forever since we went. Also going on the maternity ward tour on Wednesday.

Juandre - 4D Scan - so exciting - you lucky girl. Can't wait to see pictures.
