About dropping the night time feed, I also think that if baba wakes up there is a reason, T wakes up twice and every time he drinks his bottle with gusto, I am not going to leave him if he wakes up because he is hungry, there will be time enough to get him weaned of, I think.

I hold Tristan while I give him his last bottle for the night and I sing to him. I do this while sitting in the rocking chair, so I suppose you can say I rock him to sleep, but it is just his last bottle of the night and I like to think of it as my QT time with him. He loves it and so do I, and he can self soothe so I honestly don't see the point in not doing it for as long as he will allow me to.

Oh ya and as for the sleeping thing. Well Troy goes to sleep at 7:30ish and falls asleep on the boobie. I put him in his cot - which is almost too small for him (the co-sleeper cot) and then he first wakes up at about 12ish, has boobie for like 5 minutes and then in bed next to me. If I try put him back in hi cot, he won't go back to sleep so to save myself a mission I just keep him in the bed. And he has to sleep on the same pillow as me and almost face to face!

He wakes up about twice again after that - has a little moan and then starts moving around and then I know boobie time - pop him on again for 5 minutes and back to sleep.

On weekends when I put him down for a sleep he usually falls asleep on boobie or otherwise I need to rock him a bit. Hubby, MIL and mom all need to rock him to go sleep.

When Jade was about 8/9 months we used to lie with her till she was asleep. No rocking as she got too heavy. But now at night we still have to lie with her until is asleep but she sleeps straight through.

Morning!

I had a lovely weekend. Friday we just chilled. Sat took Troy food shopping with me and make a little nest in the front bit of the trolley and he lay across like lord muck while munching rice cakes. Was hilarious. Should have taken a pic! He is really a great shopping partner and only got a bit annoyed when I went to try on some pants.

My folks took us out for an awesome dinner at Harbour House. Lollipop you must go for the special menu there it is fabulous. MIL looked after kids.

Sunday just chilled at home, made a nice roast and then took kids for a walk and ice-cream in Simonstown. Troy kept on watching us and we felt so guilty. And he is swiping at our food now. Gave him a teeny bit of scrambled egg yesterday and he had a bit of a chew.

Morning everyone,

Elsa, glad to hear your mothers op went ok and that she is well on her way to recovery. Glad Ty showed his dad that he isnt anti social!

Angel, I think its a personal choice wheter or not you want to wake up for that feed or start weaning her off it. Leandi still wakes up for her feed (slept through solid for 1 week, and now we are back to 1 feed per night) it really isnt a problem for me as i get up, give her her bottle and we all go back to sleep. i wanted to start weaning her off but i can see she is really hungry and why would i put myself through that stress if she really needs her milkies. I dont know, each to his own.

My problem on the other hand is that i dont want to rock lg to sleep anymore. we have such a set routine and when shes finished her last feed after bed time i rock her and she is fast asleep but as soon as i put her in her cot she looks at me and thinks its a big fat game. she starts lauging and rolling and and. i really need her to start soothing herself to sleep. the playing i dont mind, i wont let her cry, dont get me wrong. i just dont see how shes going to fall asleep if shes having a such a jol in her cot?? She is very very sleepy but just dont want to go to sleep, wants you to rock her to sleep! Sy maak my moeg

Other than that, had a nice relaxing weekend.

Morning!!

I am back at work....YAY YAY...(sarcasm)

My Moms Op went okay...she was very sore the first few days but it got better. Doc told her not to pick up anything heavy for a week and not to bend down. She sorta listened to him. She hasn't held Ty for a week soo he was a little confused this morning when I left!

Last weekend, we went to my MIL and Cami (Ty's Cousin) who is 9 months older than him was really scary to him! Every time she moved he would burst into tears. Shame he is really really terrified of her, probably because she is a Hooligan who Jumps over everything! And then Ty ended up getting sick from her and making me sick! So was a fun week!

Wes thought that Ty was anti social with kids, but this weekend we saw some friends and they have twin boys who are 1 week younger than Ty. And he was sooooo cute with them, kept staring at them and if they came close his hands would just go up and they were all holding hands! They both had dummies so since Saturday Tyler has decided he wants a dummie too....he keeps sucking his tongue like he use to when he would take a dummie! :) I haven't given him a dummie because he doesn't need it!

So how is everyone doing, what did I miss???

Hiya

Hope u've all had lovely weekend. Mine was good just went by far 2quick, wish 2moro wasn't monday or at least a public holiday..sigh!

I worked on Sat, went shopping with my Mom sat afternoon, and had lunch with the inlaws 2day. That was my weekend.

Quick question think we hav been through this b4 but i want some opinions, when Cayleigh wakes up at night i feed her,is this right or wrong? 1 of my clients said she is waking 4that feed its a habit and i must break it.Now i say, she wakes up, i feed her and then she falls asleep and this takes max 30min not even and i get 2go back 2sleep, she will eventually sleep through, she has b4.Otherwise she wakes, and i must stand and shoo her, pat her and then 3hrs later i'm still awake? I dunno just want some opinions. She can self soothe cos some nights after i feed her she isn't quite asleep i put her in her bed and she goes 2sleep on her own but if she wakes in the night she wants boobie.

This is totally irrelevant 2everything, i had a dream the other evening that they broke into our house through our bedroom window which is by my side of the bed, this dream felt so real and is really freaking me out, how silly!

Anyways, i'll catch up later.
