Urgh, it is the Boss's birthday today and bought him a chocolate mousse cake from Charly's Bakery, just had a massive slice and now I feel positively ill

Christelle - I think steamed broccoli/spinach is definitely an acquired taste and I really don't see many babies liking it.

Juanita - if you look in the Baby Sense book they give you ideas for toys/stimulation very similar to practica. I must phone my friend!

Leandi likes her peas, havent tried the spinach or brocolli, will do it over the weekend when i feel like cooking! She doesnt mind the potatoe, most of the time its mixed in with something else so. Night before last i made lamb knuckles and i gave her some lamb mixed with pear (to make it more mushy) did she love that! Was very upset when it was finished!

Practica sounds very interesting! Also put some spagetti in a tin with see through lid and she loved playing with it and the noise it makes. You must give us some ideas, not all of us can afford fancy smancy things like that

Yes, she thinks she is a very big girl in her new chair. Had such a struggle to feed her in it yesterday because she was more interested in gumming the feeding tray. Had to put her back into her pram to feed. Hopefully it will get better over time.

I’m just as excited about the donuts! Can’t wait for it to arrive. She did not send a picture, but I had a look on the treehouse website and saw the material on there. Looks very nice and it will go great with the demin.

I’m having such trouble getting Zani to eat her green veggies. The baby marrow went down easily enough, but had some trouble with the broccoli and when it came to spinach it was a total waste of time. Kept on making herself gag. Then tried some peas and she seemed to like it better. I’m mixing it with the yellow veggies (butternut, sweet potato and carrots) but she is not to be fooled. Today is our first day of starch!! She is eating a very healthy lunch of butternut, baby marrow and potato. Will see how that goes.

Oh, can’t remember if I told you, but we bought the Practica program. It seems really nice and they have some great ideas of games to play with LO. Also keeps you informed of the progress they are making and why exactly you are playing the games. Also some great ideas for cheap toys – maybe because you have no money left after buying the damn thing! Already made Zani the pillow cover stuffed with cellophane (when she kicks it it makes a noise – she loves it) and the Tupperware filled with bells. This weekend we are playing outside (if weather permits) with some cooked spaghetti, custard and jello - Don’t even ask!!!

Jems, there is a abandoned house behind our house so there are tons of rats there! So now in winter they have decided my Engine is a Cosy place to sleep!! There is a Audi and Golf in the yard but no they have to pick my CAR! SNOB RATS!!!

Know what you mean about the baby sense books, the first one "Koester jou baba" none of the advice was relevant to me so it was a total waste. I like some of the advice this new book has like creating a sleep routine and not taking them out of their sleep area when its sleep time, dont think i will be doing any sleep training soon!
