January 2010 mommies

Hi, i buy fresh vegies then puree it with my magical stick blender. then i freeze it into little containers (just big enough for one feed). i did buy a couple of those small purity's (apple and pear and peach) stuff that i didnt cook. she had the apple, likes that and last night she had apple and sweet potatoes. not too fussy. but the rice porridge, keep that stuff away from her, she pulls her face and refuses to eat it. even makes herself gag

yay! I am not alone after all, was really getting lonesome!

Haven't spoken to DH at all since he said the big "D" this morning... I am seriously depro...dont know what to do
I am also a bit PMS'sie, maybe I am being to harsh on him...but he spends the entire weekend in that f#$%^&g garage till 7-9 in the evening...do you think I am being too clingy?

are you puree'ing veggies or giving her purity?

Just waiting for dh to come back and i can go fetch my angel and go home. She got such nice prezzies at the Christening yesterday, nice warm baby grows and a nice jacket, but i think with this miserable Jhb weather she needs a raincoat and gum boots

Lolli sorry bout dh and you not seeing i to i. really hope you can sort it out without the big bad "D" word. Have you spoken to him today?? DH and i also been up and down lately, doesnt make things easier with me having pms. but i can see now that i have been a real beatch lately and i need to cut him some slack.

Welcome back Elsa. Glad all is well with you and lb. Midwife also told me that new research showed that you can start with solids from 17 wks, but i always say, each to his own. Wowwee every 2 hours, you have way more patience than i do. i can also see now that my lg was hungry coz if i dont feed her at night shes up 2/3 times where she usually sleeps from 8 till 4/5 when i give her her veggies. she just loooves it.

Tristan is already sleeping through most nights, he slept from 8:30 till 5:00 last night.

Basically stopped breastfeeding, as Tristan wont drink on me anymore, so I am expressing, but that will stop soon to I think, cause I only have 15-20 ml in both breasts even with drinking Esperide to up my milk production...I have tried everything and nothing seems to work so now I have had enough, think I will take the tablets to make the breastmilk stop completely.

T is teething, nothing has come through yet, but he drools so much and bites his hands...which reminds me, he actually put his hand so far up his mouth last night that he got sick, silly boy

The paed told me that I can start gradually introducing solids when T went for his 3 month check up, he said that it has been found that kids that are introduced to solids later have a higher incidence of allergies-but really it is a matter of when each child is ready.

Tyler is awesome! I love him to bits! I dont think he is teething yet, but he does like to suck his thumb!

Are you ladies getting any sleep?? I still wake up every 2 hours to breast feed Ty! Alot of the times I think he isnt really hungry he just wants to use my boobie as Dummy!!

Remember I wasnt sure if I wanted to breastfeed now I dont want to stop lol, told BF that Im gonna breastfeed him till he is 5!

I havent introduced any other food yet, arent you suppose to wait till 6 months??
