Lucy thanks for sharing! It all makes sense now.
Wow hun it really seems like you went through a lot! I'm glad they managed to control the bleeding - that can be very dangerous - and that you and Tessa are safe now.
Did the voltaren help any? The 2nd day after the c/sec the pain was really bad for me too but after day 3 it gets better but still take it easy and let the nurses help raise your bed / pass T to you etc.
How is hubby about her?
Oooh I remember those first days so clearly. The feelings of unbelief and overwhelming joy and happiness that she's yours and you get to take her home.
I totally agree re the bonding. It happens with time, as you spend 24/7 with them and they get to know you and rely on you entirely, and you get to be the one to provide for them and while they stare back at you its so worth all of it!
Sounds like you've got this mommy thing down already

And awesome re the latching! So happy for you hun!
When will you be discharged? Just a warning that day 4 before discharge was hectic for me because K was also born on a Friday. The Monday morning all the normal staff return, they do the jaundice test, hearing test, a bunch of other observations so they keep taking baby away for it and you are trying to pack meantime and it was a bit overwhelming for me. Hope its better for you than that.
Keep well hun and thanks so much for the update! You're doing better than I did when K was born.
