Thanks for the info re bbt. I know about the progesterone etc but I was wondering if your bbt increase one or two days after ovulation as the dr google seems to contradict himself in different sites. For explanation purposes, herewith my cycle bbt, keeping in mind that I ovulated on CD18 for the last two cycles:

CD17 - 35.7
CD18 - 35.7
CD19 - 35.8
CD20 - 36.2
CD21 - 36.2
CD22 - 36.6

If it takes two days for BBT to rise then I think I O'd on the CD 18 but if it takes one day then I might have O'd on CD 19 only? Any ideas? I think by looking at the temps that I def O'd right?

Basal Body Temperature (BBT) is your body's resting/waking temperature, normally it is used to chart a woman's fertility patterns. It is used to confirm the passage of ovulation, but will not give any warning of approaching ovulation. It can do this because the hormone progesterone which is released in quantity only after ovulation has occurred will cause the body's internal temperature to rise slightly this confirms the passing of ovulation and fertility for that particular cycle.

I am extremely gassy since getting my BFP it was worse in the beginning and will apparently be beyond bad in the 3rd trimester eeeek haha watch out family and friends!! Hope it is good news for you Hun but if not your FS is there to help you sort this out and get you to your goal of a BFP xxxxxxx

AFM - no sign of AF yet. Does one's temps go up 1 or 2 days after O, does anyone know? Can say I have any suspicious "symptoms" either except for an extremely gassy stomach. I seem to be shooting bunnies left right and centre My husband says that he is sure I have managed to wipe out an entire nation of bunnies in the last 4 days. I always get so mad at him for shooting a bunny/farting in bed, but sadly I think that I have lost that right now....how embarrasing but I just dont know what to do

Hello Ladies,

Having a rubbish day today stressed with work and now our biggest customer who organised for DH to fly to JHB tomorrow to install at a new hospital has changed their mind (as usual and for the 2nd time) to Monday next week which is when we have our 4D 22 week scan so I am very upset that he will be missing this! Tried to change the appointment but Gynae is on leave from the day after until April

On a brighter note all seems to be going well with pg and am growing by the day but still cannot feel LB move thanks to my low placenta so I do stress and get depressed as everyone else seems to be feeling their LO's move!

Thisisit glad you have a nice FS and that he is helping you. What a shocker that you haven't O'd in so long!!! Have you made your next appointment with him yet or are you waiting for AF (fingers crossed maybe it wont arrive!!) We don't judge you at all for POAS we are all addicts here!!

Long time no chat. Things have been sooooooo busy!

My appointment at the FS went well. I love him to bits - he is straight foward but in a gentle way. By looking at my cycles, he told me that I havent O in about 1.5-2 years as I had my cycle lenghts for that long with me , except for the last 3 months I have had a perfect steady cycle since I stopped working....He did say that I had a cycst but that could be the ovulation cycst( cant remember what he called it) and to come back after my next period so that he can check if the cycst is gone and he wants to have a dye test done to check if my tubes are open. Anyone had this done before? He also wants DH to do a SA at the same time.

I am currently on 13DPO and tested this am but got a BFN.....Dont judge, I know I shouldnt be testing before AF is actually due but hey, addictions and all of that!
