Pregnancy after D&C

Nu Shifa is a brilliant hospital, the staff were awesome and its so clean and I could just carry on and on... and so much cheaper than any of the other private hospitals in Durban - R14,000 for a 3 night stay for a ceaser!! Rebecca had to come out at 37 weeks- she was macrosomic because of my gestational diabetes. At the 36 week checkup her measurements were coming out at 40 weeks and my gynae, Dr Naseera Mahomed (who is also brilliant) was worried about her heart taking strain if we left her in longer. We discussed inducing vs ceaser and I decided that a ceaser would just be less strain on Rebecca, even though I was terrified by the thought of having a ceaser. She went into respratory distress not long after being born and her paed (Dr Mitha, also brilliant) diagnosed Respratory Distress Syndrome and they found she didn't have any surfactant lining her lungs. She was in NICU for 7 days on oxygen and a feeding tube and heart monitor etc it was really distressing, but the NICU staff were amazing and so supportive and Rebecca pulled through and today is a happy healthy 7kg 3 month old.

Michelle, she is so beautiful. Gorgeous name. Didnt know you were a Durban girl (or did I??). How did you like Nu Shifa. My cousin had her baby there and was very happy with it. Shame, what happened?

belaine, does your MIL live nearby? I think every daughter in law find fault with their MIL...Its only natural...Hang in there. Mine lives 5 minutes away

our room is rearranged and the cot is our room, and now dh cant stop smiling!
Mil is coming over tonight to have a look at all Mariné stuff will see how it goes.

she is flying down to grandma to help her after her hip replacement, now she is telling/asking my to make food for next week for my bil's and fil i mean really and she is asking for bread and milk!! so im not too happy about tonight and dont even want her to show my stuff.
im just tired the one day she is so excited about my lg and then the next its the same with me one day im everything and the next day im nothing.
she is complaining about money but if you see how "social" they were these last weeks you wouldnt say that.
If she dont want to do my babyshower its fine then i go without one she was the one that said she hopes my mother let her do the babyshower and she phoned my mom to ask etc.
everytime she does something for us i hear it, she gave us those spoegdoeke now i have to hear her complain about money.
The wedding issue also pop up again, now bil wants to make dh best man! i told him if he can get lift he can go im staying at home with my lg.
mil even said she is taking lg with them. i just have a feeling there are gonna be major fights dont know why.
I want to go really i love my bil and his fiance its just to dish up that money for plane ticket is not gonna be easy.
Mil is already paying for my other two bil's. one is without work so he and his friend is driving down with mil and fly back and im not to sure how the other bil is getting there also prob the same.
sorry for moaning i just need to get it off my chest!!

I had a little girl, Rebecca Faith, on 11 April 2012 @ Nu Shifa Hospital in Durban and after a rocky start, all is well.

Hey Belaine, so far we either going with Dylan Jace Sawyer or Trey Jaiden Sawyer but might mix and match those again when he is born

Shame sorry about your boss being difficult its not fair if they taking it out on you because you going on ML I hope they pull up their socks and stop bullying you!!

I get this feeling my boss not happy with me he is just different and i dont know why i know head office is here and the one other boss from Natal so i think they are irritating him, I also think its got to do with me going on ML soon.

Hi Ladies,

just a quick one to say hello and hope everyone is doing well!!

Had my scan yesterday and LB is still head down (phew) but already 3.5kg (gulp) and I not even 38 weeks yet!! Seeing Gynae again next Thursday will be 39 weeks on the Friday and she will see if my body is preparing for the birth coz then she might induce me but if not we will wait till 40 weeks and induce then if he still is not showing any signs of coming as she does not wanna go over 40 weeks if I wanna go natural because he is so big!!
