Thanks for the warm welcome to the family ladies! I am better today. Still a bit crampy, the bleeding has slowed down. The OBGYN phoned just now to check up on me, that took me by surprize as I havent had a doc do that before. I asked if she looked at the baby but she said it all comes out as tissue, so I know what that means.

I told one of my longest standing friends that I lost the baby and wait for it, she said "Oh well." Don't get me wrong, I dont want flowers and a card. (Wouldn't say no to chocs and wine ;) just kidding) But just a sorry or some form or sympathy would have been nice after 18 years of friendship and her being one of the first I told...

I sat down this morn and wrote a blog post about the pregnancy and lossing the baby, that seemed to help and it hit home a bit more when I wrote the last line.
wp.me/pVFMz-bw Will see how I feel tomorrow and may o one on the D&C

I am sitting on the couch now watching Chicken Run while the hooligan jumps on me and smears flings all over me. Oh the joys. :P But I wouldnt trade him for the world.

Mom2B-March: Your time is near. Enjoy trying again. ;)

belaine: I would say if you can tell him you are taking him somewhere special, put out the appropriate clothes for him and make him go with you. Then surprize.

Baby dust to those trying. X*x*X*x*

Hi Bronze,

Though Im not a regular chatter, I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear your story.
In Jan, I had a similar experience. I had no symptoms at all and i remember every second of that horrible appointment (also at 9 weeks). I had been so looking forward to it. it never once occurred to me that something may be wrong. Miscarriages happened to other people. I think the ease of conception/ pregnancy and birth of my first born lulled me into thinking that things just worked out well for me.
As it is though... a few months down the line and things did work out well. I got pregnant again ~5 months later.
That is the wonderful thing about this particular thread... its all about pregnancy after sadness... and is filled with strong women who have gone on to have successul pregnancies and happy, healthy babies. and what could be more hope-inspiring that that? :)
I dont post often, but I keep my eye on all these success stories... and in my time of grief, they really gave me hope.
I hope that you'll find similar inspiration and comfort here too.

Bronz welcome to our family and I am so sorry for your loss. Nature is cruel but she does know best and maybe as you say your angel was not strong enough for this world. I was pregnant with twins, I lost the first one at 6 weeks and had an operation to remove him/her and the other baby was doing so well. Then at 12 weeks the night before we were going to tell everyone my waters broke and I had to be induced for 9 hours to have the baby naturally before having the D&C. I did not have any pain or cramping but was very emotional for the first week and it just got easier every day and the ladies here are FANTASTIC!!! I am waiting for AF number two this weekend and then we go on holiday so will TTC while we are there. If you want to ask any questions, cry, vent or anything we are all here for you!!!

Belaine good news about the tooth hope it feels better soon!! Not sure what I would do about the massage either way is nice and he will be surprised no matter what!!!

Es you have beautiful kids thanks for putting the pics up for us!! Mia sure is a fighter and she is in my thoughts and prayers I hope she gets stronger and I am sorry that it has caused emotional and financial strains it cant be easy not knowing what could happen next :(

KLK such a cutie and obviously has a bit of a sweet tooth!!!

Debbie hope you are still getting your high temps and waiting (im)patiently for a BFP from you :)

Hello to all the ladies hope you have a great day xxxx

AFM: should be getting AF any day from Saturday hopefully and then time for some serious BD'ing :):) Will post a pic of the hair when i get back from the hairdresser need to go onto google to have a look and see if i can find anything i like more than what i had last time but always nice to have your hair done!!

Joybaby my gynea said 1 in 5 get diagnosed with a blighted ovum so it is quite common.

Bronz - a special one for you!

Welcome to our group, I am glad you have joined us. As JoyBaby says, you will have good days and bad and you will appreciate the support of these wonderful ladies more as time goes on. Its sad to say but people lose interest. Your family, your colleagues, your friends all move on with their lives and you are still grieving and they don't understand. That's when you can come here and rehash all your emotions and you will be heard. We have all been there!

I was also about 9w (I wasn't having regular AF so we couldn't date the pregnancy accurately, we were going on the size of my uterus) but my baby's heart stopped at about 7w. My doc also tried everything, looked if there was blood flowing to the baby everything but there was nothing :-( Bloods confirmed that my HCG was dropping and I went in for the D&C the next day. I didn't bleed alot and only had minor cramping for the first few days. 5 days after the op I started bleeding heavily (like AF) called my doc and she got me in to check that everything was ok. She said it was just the remaining lining being expelled as my uterus contracted. She gave me meds to speed it up and within a week I was "back to normal". She gave me the all clear to start trying again as soon as I got my first AF - which she said to expect within 6 weeks. That didn't happen and 8 weeks after the op I went on Provera to induce a bleed. My next cycle was 51 days and I got AF naturally with no meds on Monday.

Everyone's recovery is different but it helps to know what others have been through so you kind of know what you can expect.

We are here if you need to be angry, sad, confused etc.

BIG HUGS
