Pregnancy after D&C

Now if that was not af, then what was it. Hehe. I am having period pains, and had what looked like it could be the start of af. But nada, nothing further. Maybe O? Don't know how the tubal would have affected that. I still hope its not af and she stays away while I bf.

Well I have finally stopped bleeding exactly 2 weeks after the D&C so now the wait for the first AF starts Am doing very well otherwise and looking forward to TTC again soon.

Welcome Belanie so sorry for your loss it is such a horrible thing to go through but it really helps to talk to those who have been through the same thing and pray that only good things come your way xxx

Joybaby sounds like you have been having a rough time with your LO being so sick and hope she is over the worse and continues to get better.

Shame Esmarie what a bummer to get AF when you expect to be rid of it for a few months!!

Thank you for all the kind messages about the Tonsillectomy not looking forward to it but relieved it is almost over and can start from scratch again at 100%.

From all of your stories I see a lot of you had things like a blighted ovum or bleeding and miscarriage but did any of your waters break? What do I call what happened to me? Is it a MC?

AFM: had a hectic weekend, don't wanna see my kitchen for the next few days, had friends and family over the whole time was so relieved for the peace and quiet when everybody left...counting down the days till my next scan hope we will be able to see if it team pink or blue...

Some of us have been here longer than we care to remember, but its great to see everyone's stories and we've seen members arrive broken hearted, but eventually have their bundle of joy in their hands!
(Sal who started this on pampers was always such an inspiration to me!!!)

Someone had a missed mc recently?
My story is similar. Had a missed MC in June 2009 at 9 weeks. Baby was only showing 7weeks when I started bleeding and heavy cramping and went to my gynae that same morning. But I had a feeling before then that something was wrong.
Had my D&C the next day - same day Michael Jackson died. What a way to remember.
We were advised to wait until AF arrived before trying again, mostly to be able to date a pregnancy if we fell pregnant again that cycle. But to wait emotionally as long as we needed. As with many moms here, the second my AF was finished I was ready to try again
It took 5 weeks for AF to arrive, or probably 27 or 28 days from when the major bleeding stopped.

If you are still struggling with pain and heavy bleeding after a few weeks you really need to go see your gynae. You may have an infection, or parts of the conception are not all clear and you'll probably need another D&C.

To all the mommies, hope your LO's are not giving you too much hassle and restless nights. We are trying to move K into her own room now as I am just not getting rest at night and its taking its toll at work. First night last night, and she woke up 4 times between 8pm and 2pm, so eventually brought her into our room again and she slept till 6:30. Will have to persevere I guess. I am determined to get some of 'ME' back asap!!!

Esmari boo on AF How is the breastfeeding?
I only got my AF 2 months ago, Kaylee was 10months old. Thankfully I know that I'm VERY regular, 28 days exactly, and I ovulate around day 14 or 15 based on the pains I get. So my cycle is even better than before I conceived.
I am not on any contraceptive at the moment. Dont really want to go onto anything, but DH is very particular about unprotected s.e.x and doesnt particularly like condoms, so maybe after this cycle I'll go onto a light pill.
The plan was to go off the pill in Jan next year, and just enjoy unprotected sex for a few months, and if nothing's happened by next August (K's 2nd bday) then to try again. But at the moment life is so hectic, I definitely am not ready to be pregnant 4 months from now. I am still on contract work until January, and chances of them making me permanent is very slim as they are restructuring and just retrenched 3 people in our department last month. And I need to lose 20-30kgs first which I am not doing too great on!!!

Kaylee had double pneumonia in August. She spent 12 days in hospital, including on her birthday. Luckily the doc let us take her out for a few hours on her birthday, she just had physio before and after. She had a drip for her antibiotics for her ear infection, and was having physio 2-3x/day which she absolutely hated! She had no appetite and became dehydrated so eventually we had a gastric tube inserted to feed her rehydrate, and she was throwing up a lot after the physio which didnt help matters either. She got a 2nd ear infection while still in hospital, so while we were there we had her grommets done as well which went very well, and we were lucky to have a brilliant ENT doctor do it. She has a bit of a cold now which usually turns into an ear infection too, but touch wood so far so good.

Sorry I'm so MIA. I had 2 crazy weeks of catching up at work and home and this next week will be rough as well, so moomie doesnt get much priority anymore

I had a bo last year april. I blead for almost 5 weeks altogether. I had to get a d&c, after the bo grew into my csection scar.
did you have a d&c?

sorry to hear about your loss , I also had a blighted ovum at the end of July this year , but I only bled for a week and finishing my AF now, I would def phone your gynie to get some advise , dont think you should still be bleeding and having pains.

Welcome Belaine. The ladies here are awesome! It is not easy but be assured that the pain does fade. Not sure if it ever goes away but it gets better.

I am not sure about the blighted ovum as I had a missed miscarriage and a D&C.I started bleeding again 5 days after the op when I went to my gynae for my 1 week check up she said it was my uterus contracting and expelling the blood that wasn't removed. Although if I were you I would call your gynae as soon as you can.3 weeks seems a bit long!
