Sue - Oh my goodness!!! That must have been super scary, hope that you are feeling better. I am sure your bean is snug as a bug. I had tick bite fever at 15 weeks at all ended well. They are resilient!! But you will still worry and that is normal ...........just a quick heads up ........ this is the start of LOTS of worrying, it doesn't end once baba is born. So enjoy the practice, ha ha!

Mom2B - Ouch !! Good luck for the 13th. Stock up on the jelly and ice cream, yum yum. See a silver lining!! I take a preg/ lactating supplement called Mom2B, it makes my milk way more abundant, so I have a little giggle everytime I post to you ........ just sharing, hahaha!

All well this end, a very chilled easy work life at the moment. I think the pressure will only start from october, so I am enjoying it while it lasts!

Well I am getting my tonsils out on the 13th (would have been next week but DH is away and Dr said I will need him after going home for sure ) am terrified of how sore it will be but in the long run I am soooo excited to never have tonsillitis again

Sued thanks so much for the support and holding thumbs for your LO keep positive thoughts flowing... how far are you now (guessing about 13 weeks??) I am coming to terms with it all and realizing it happened for a reason and we will just try again soon. xxx

Mom 2 Be - separate post for you! So sorry for your loss! We have all been through the ups and downs and understand exactly what you are going through! Rant and rave, scream and cry and laugh with us and you will get through it, I promise!

My background. 39 years old now, in 2009 fell pregnant in October, went for my 8 week scan and baby was only showing as 6 weeks with no heartbeat, with a large patch of blood on the scan, was told to come back in a week for another scan but by the weekend started bleeding and was told I had suffered a missed miscarriage and would have to go in for a D & C.

I had a chemical pregnancy in May last year. We kept trying but both hubby and I have some challenges in the fertility front (endo for me and Prostatitis for him). However in May this year I suffered another chemical pregnancy and then the month afterwards conceived on my birthday! So far so good except for the gastro incident.


Hang in there - these people are so awesome and caring and will help you through all the crazy emotions! Big Hug!

Debbie the first AF was such a relief. I finally feel 'normal' again. fx that it's the last for you for a while!

Mom2B I waited 8 weeks and eventually went on Provera to bring back my AF. I was irregular before though so it was probably a combination of factors. Most ladies wait 4-6 weeks it seems.

Esmari your LO seems to be keeping you busy there...

Phew just finished catching up on all the news.

So we went for our scan on the 22nd of August and baby was waving arms and legs and then turned its back to us, I have a cute scan pic but for the life of me have to figure out how to post it. Bloods were done for downs and the good news is that they came back negative. My due date is now the 1st of March.

Just when I thought everything was going awesomely, I caught the gastro going around on Monday. I was fine on Monday during the day but on the hours drive home from work felt so nauseous and faint and as soon as I got home I couldnt stop throwing up! I then ended up losing the entire contents of my body from both ends - sorry TMI!

By half past eight I phoned the Gynie messaging service as I couldnt hold water down and was told that they only take messages for emergencies so I screamed at the cow on the end of the line that in that case I will go to the Emergency room and sort myself out and slammed the phone down.

Well emergency doc said we were lucky we went as my sodium levels were very low. They put me on a drip and took bloods to confirm if it was gastro and then finally let me go home at 12:00 that night after threatening to book me in overnight in hospital.

So I have been passed out in bed for the past three days and only feel slightly human today. YAAAAYY! DH was great and took the Tuesday off to look after me.

Please pray that the bean is ok. So worried that this has affected the LO.

Yes Debbie, its a pee on a stick. If you want to use it then just slip one in your bag go to the loo, pee, put back into its packet and go back to the desk. Generally after 15 minutes you can see the results although when I get my positive it appears pretty quickly.

Mom2B, it is best to do the test after 12pm and no later than 8pm (according to insert)

Connor is not well. He went down for a nap today and woke up with a raging fever We have been fighting it all afternoon. Ended up having to give him a Voltaren suppository. Will have to monitor him the whole evening. Sucky thing, we are going to my mom's 60th this weekend, flying on Friday so really hope he is not getting sick

Angi, stunning pic my friend! Such a gorgeous bump. I realized today that I miss my bump, and to think I will never experience that again. I love the bump part of pregnancy.

Debbie, that's really insensitive of him! Duh, off course you are going to try again!. When I had my d&c last year, they kept asking me what form of contraceptive I am going to use..... And when I looked through my file when I was in hospital with Gerhardt, it said that I had an abortion! You have to really read to realize that I had a mc.

How are you doing klk? When will you be testing again?

Afm. The thrush is back. I already used 2 bottles of the meds. So I asked my ob at my app today, and that's the only thing I can give Gerhardt. So I got another bottle. His mouth is really looking worst inside than before. Just have to make sure that I give the meds 3 times a day. And hopefully remember to put it on nipples.
He is such a good boy. Keeps mommy busy during the day - doesn't really sleep. Then at night he sleeps better. He has a bath at 6pm, the I feed him, and he goes down. then only wakes anything from midnight, and then once again before dh gets up. He is already in #3 diapers. jikes.....

Baby Mia will be 3 weeks on friday. Still in hospital. They are waiting for blood results to confirm trisomy18. In the meantime she is still on oxygen. Only 21%. They took her off yesterday to see if she can cope, but they had to put her back on again. Today she had 30ml milk out of the bottle. And she is at her birth weight again. Don't know what the doc is planning with her. I guess she might be going home with the feeding tube, as she still gets too tired now. and my sil said they will be getting oxygen at home. Please keep praying friends....

PS. almost forgot. dh just got a "new" job. He has been working for the George office for a couple of months now, and they finally told him that it's now permanent. His "old" boss has to pay him back 14 days leave. Lets just say, it's enouth so that we can pay off all the small bills, and me maybe getting a bb for my birthday (a couple of months early), hehe.
