Ashbabe just wanted to add that doctors can't always give you an explantation for some things and if she is uncertain about the sex then it is better that she tells you she is uncertain.

Trust is important.

Dr Christoph Atzl at Panorama is excellent. He delivered Dylan and I had difficulties and he handles them so well. He has been my gynae for 4 years now and so far so good. He specialises in High risk pregnancy and is very supportive of natural birth.

Have you tried Dr Wynand Truter at Durbanville?? I was with him during my 1st pregnancy. He answers ANY question you might have! I felt VERY comfortable with him.

Good luck! I hope you come right!

Hi there

I am with Dr. Rosselli at Durbanville Family Care Centre in Somerset Crescent.
His no is 021 975 3970
Their waiting time is generally 2-4 weeks for a first time patient. Maybe if you mention you're pg they might fit you in sooner?

He's got a very calming bedside manner and is very accommodating to all my questions etc.
I've been with him for 8 years now. Seen me through one MC and is really great in my opinion. He did the 13w downs scan himself, and also does the 20-24w fetal anomoly scan himself, only if he needs a 2nd opinion will he refer you. He delivers at Durbanville & Panorama. I'm going to Panorama on his recommendation as a first time mum.
They also have a breastfeeding clinic and antenatal class at the same centre, as well as kiddy doctor (preggie brain!) among others, all family related. I like being at one location for all my needs!

Yes, I've also heard good things about Tania Victor! Apparently the layout at the hospital is a little odd though.

Good luck Ashbabe!! (BTW, are you still considering a natural birth? if you would still like to consider HB it's more flexible now that it has become so busy! - you can mail me if you would like more details)
