oh yes in case Cath doesnt have time to post the pics - I googled the wedge and positioner so u can see the difference (can u tell I have nothing better to do with my days??)

sleep wedge (goes under the sheet and baby lies on it so they are slightly elevated)

positioner (ones in SA are usually just plain white)

baby sleeping in a positioner (think the ones in SA usually have a small triangle on one side and a larger one on the other side...so not equal sides like this one) - to keep baby on their side and prevent from rolling onto tummy

hi ladies

well it seems I am just not meant to sleep!!
I finally figured out a way to sleep better. But then Bling insisted he MUST eat at 5:30am. (he is such a pain...he jumps onto the bedside tables, knocks things off it, walks around crying etc etc). So I fed him. Then my brother called at 6am. So eventually I just got up. sigh...

Cath - your posts are so positive! I love it :)

Karin - 1 week to go!!! I am coping ok without DH. Actually doesnt feel that different to when he's here. He usually works until 8:00pm and we go to sleep at 10pm so I dont get much time with him anyway. plus it's just 1 week so it's not too bad. PLUS with all our raging hormones and us hating our DH's - maybe it's better he's not here. I cried on skype for 1 hour last night to him because I was so mad with him. He said we'd skype around midday so I logged on from around 11am and played on the internet waiting for him. He eventually logged on at 5pm...
needless to say I was FURIOUS. I had smsed him and he ignored them. finally after 3 hours and a 3rd sms saying "lucky I am not in labour and in the hospital" and then he replied saying sorry he's at dinner and will skype when he's back at the hotel. but what I found out was they werent even at dinner then...they were in a bar drinking. so he was too busy drinking to sms me and let me know we'd be skyping later than agreed. all of this after just the day before I had explained that as the birth date is nearing, i am needing a lot more support from him.

Schatsie - well now u know how I am coping without my DH :p Thanks for the info on SIDS - it is so scary. I also bought the angelcare monitor and sensor pad as DH insists baby will not sleep in our bed or in our room. I dunno why it's such an issue for him since he is such a deep sleeper and probably wont be doing any of the night time routines.
Did u get that parking space you asked for??

MistyMom I love your belly photo on facebook - post it here for the others to see. it is so beautiful. I wanted to try do some belly photos while DH was away - but he bloody well took the camera with him...aarrgg.
enjoy your ante natal classes tonight! Hope DH is not too overwhelmed with all the info. Had to laugh about your little haemorrhoid...I am with Lucy on this one - I also have a bundle of grapes! Sadly for me - I suffered badly with them before pregnancy too so I dont think mine are going anywhere!

Kimika - I left some things in SA and I think the one photo album I left there has the cat attack! How annoying!! Basically I had 4 puncture wounds about 1cm each and a bruise around the wounds that stretched about 12cm long by 6cm wide. it was on the back of my calf! really quite ridiculous that a cat had such power and force to bruise me like that!

Karin thank you re tip!

The cream i have is called healing cream (by silver lab). It also says Clloidal silver on tub. is antibacterial and aniti iflammatory and has avo oil in. Seems to be working nicely, but crortizne is your best bet! (have also used in past with no prbs)

yay, church was nt as bad as i thught it would be!

Cath - please post pics of wedge/positioner when u get chance - you sound like the perfect proud mommy already!!!

Meags - those stretch marks do not look so bad!

Yay at home. Had nice cold shower and am lying on bed, under fan, but the dstv in room is not working...so annoyed, have tried everything! But just to hot to sit in lounge.

Have antenatal classes tonight...cant wait! And at least DH will be with me tonight!!

Girls just a quick tip re the sleep wedge - if you don't want to spend money on one, you can use 1 or 2 pillows (depending on thickness) and it does exactly the same thing. :)
I've done it with both my other kids and it works like a charm, will do so again. ;)

Cathm thanks for explaining the difference between the sleep wedge and sleep positioner 9and Mistymom thanks for asking the question - I wanted to know too. :)

You will have to post pics tho - I thought I have a wedge, but now it seems I have a positioner. Sigh, so many things to learn! :)

Cathm if you don't stop sounding so happy and gushing about your gorgeous baby, I'm going to hunt you down and steal your baby! LOL! I'm soooooooo jealous and broody and just can't wait for my little man to arrive anymore!! Just kidding, it is wonderful to hear how happy you are and all your lovely posts just make me smile! It is SO nice to hear another first time mommy's experiences "first hand"!!
