Thanks Rakker... I'm maybe going to have to try that tonight then. Maybe it will at least speed up healing.

Mistymom - Shame man! I know the feeling.. got Hemorrhoids with all my pregnancy's.... it's not nice, awful and painful sometimes, but yes, it will go away only after the birth... Good that you got some cream to put on, it will at least help the discomfort of it.
Good luck with the funeral this afternoon.

Schatsie - sjoe... it's so cary about the SIDS... I'm very neurotic and my babies always sleep in our room until almost a year old! I get up even when they don't wake up just to check if their breathing and all is fine. I still do it for my other two kids!
And I've bought an Angelcare monitor too, not taking chances.

:( KarinM - shame :(

that sucks (but hey cant be as bad as me getting a little haemrroid this weekend!). I was so freaked out (never had before)!!!

I went tom the pharmacy and they gave me this cream - will look at name when get home for you. Its all natrual and safe in pregnancy (she said i cant use any of the "normal" treatment creams.

Cant wait to get to the doctor on thursday so he can advice....:( It just sucks as all the reading up I have done said that normal goes away AFTER birth! At least it is very small and does not hurt at moment.......

Anyway anouther hot day in CT...and I am in a black dress as have a funeral at noon! Will probably pass out in church....at least plan to go home after that!

JESSICA.......we can hear your heartbeating here in CT...you must be getting so excited!

Morning girls

Meags did you survive your weekend without hubby? What did you get up to?

Kimika OH NO re Reuben's nose being blocked!! It must be so hard for you to see him battle like that!!

Cath I loooove your posts! I just hope that I handle my C sec so well as you did and that I will enjoy my baby as much as you do! Excited as I am, I can't help to get nervous at times - about the birth, wondering if I will be a good mommy, etc.!

Thank goodness my mood cleared up yesterday, so DH and I had a nice day together. He took me for breakfast at Eden on the Bay and then we went to my parents on the farm and my aunt and uncle from Gauteng was there too. We had a very nice day except for the very hot weather - 38 degrees!

I'm SO not in the mood to be at work today. It is damn hot in CT again - 37 degrees was the forecast and I have such bad pain "down under" that I have to put my feet on a chair, but then I can't sit straight to type. I'm going to have to get something I can put under my desk for the rest of this month.

I was chatting to one of my colleagues at the team lunch on Fri. She told me about her cousin whose baby died at 2 weeks - SIDs/cot death. She said they did a lot of research about it afterwards and one of the things they heard was that for babies at that age, breathing is not yet a reflex and if you wrap them too tight they think they are in the womb again and forget to breathe and that is a major reason why they die. I have no idea whether there is any truth in it, but it reminded me of our discussion re swaddling, so I thought I'd mention it here.

So this is a big week for us i.t.o. new babies! My cousin's wife is having a C sec delivery for her LG today. (It will be great grandchild number 33 - my family is Dutch and my grandparents had 9 children and 30 grandchildren!) Then of course we will have Jess 2moro and Tazzy Wed. Can't wait to hear their stories and see the pics!! I actually think I'm becoming more broody by the day, if that's possible! I'm seriously considering visiting our neighbours so that I can see their 2 kids (one is a baby of 6 months) and hold them. :)

Hope you all have a lovely day - even us CT girls in this horrible heat!

Mmm, what might work is very labour intensive and DH must do it. Sterilize a pin or needle and have him break the skin of each of those bumps to allow the hair to come out. I had to do that numerous times with DH's legs when he was still cycling seriously. You can also try Nivea for men after shave balm for sensitive skin, although that might be too late. Works for me after a shave.

Oh I need some help girls ...
I have an awful bikini line rash, :( Its so darn sore.
I didn't shave, I used Veet ... but I was really kinda dumb and scrubbed it with the little plastic thingy they give with. So now its gone all red and full of little red blisters and its very sore.
I'm so upset with myself cause I don't need that now over the c-section area .. and it's also right over the cut area!
So... I've but some Germolene on it last night, hoping it will help cure it quickly.
Can I use anything else you know off?? I also have some cream that I occasionally use for my kids that's made by our pharmacy for eczema cases (it's got a little bit of Cortizone it it) - do you think it's safe to use sparingly???

Help please!

Hiya girls!

Monday again... :side: Yuck. Need more weekend.

Jessica - :P Very close now!! One more sleep!
Tazzy - Two more for you!! :silly: Sjoe, such an exciting week this is going to be!

Meags - great pics! :) Your belly is looking very pretty and love the first pic. Hope you are coping with hubby being away! At least the days do go fast.

Anje - you are still so tiny girl! What love handles...??? You look great! Love the beach ball belly. :)

Kimika - sorry about struggling with Reuben's blocked nose :( Its hard feeling so helpless. Try the breast milk in his nose... it might just do the trick. Otherwise Illiadin pead is also good.

Cath - you lucky girl that W is sleeping so well!! Sjoe, hoping that will be my luck this time round too... For me it has ALWAYS been every three hours... eish.

Lucy - strongs with the last bit of visitors.... :( That is really inconsiderate!! How can they just leave all to you to do and hardly help? Shame man, hope you can rest soon.
Good for you that you stayed in bed till late and enjoyed each other and baby a bit. :)

Schatsie - how you feeling today? Hope you are doing better. :)

AFM: Talking about hormones! ... seems this weekend was in general a bad one for us preggies re hormones ... I had a horrible weekend emotionally...snapped at hubby so much and also my two kids got the bad end of mommy's temper... :(
Feel horrible about it, but I can't seem to get over it!! Feels like my hormones has taken over and I can't win it.
(sigh) hope it gets better soon anyways.
Haven't had those really sore back aches and tummy cramps the weekend, it was more like a dull ache at times.
Thinking I might be readying for the labour thing, but very slowly. Right now I think I will still make it till next week Monday ... probably.
Kiana is still very busy, at times ridiculously busy, she rock 'n roll's in my tummy at least once a day and especially at night time. :P
Feeling nostalgic when she does that... think I'm going to kinda miss it.
